Garnier Fructis Hair Food Shampoo Bar – Aloe Vera

Love this bar. Infact my husband loves it more than me since he loves bathing with soap bar. The idea of shampoo bar is just so sustainable. No plastic bottles. Garnier shampoo are good and the quality is maintained in this product too. I only wish they come up with conditioner bar too asap to make this shampoo conditioner duo completed. I would buy it any day. Good for travelling too. I only wish it is a bit curved in shape so that the loss is minimum when putting it in a wet surface or soap case.

I've heard quite a bit of buzz about shampoo bars and have been eager to try them, especially given how eco-friendly they are. Smells lovely, and was quick to lather (a couple of strokes across the top of my scalp was all it needed). It was also quick to wash off. The bar is small, but would last quite a while given how little is needed for each wash. However, while this is great for a regular clean, I feel it doesn't have quite the same squeaky clean feeling my current shampoo does, so while I'd be happy to switch to this for most washes, I don't think it'd completely replace my current haircare regime.

My first time ever trying a shampoo bar and here is what I thought of it. First impressions, cute little packaging and also recyclable. The Shampoo bar cute little size. The fragrance of the bar was subtle and very nice to smell. Was really easy to use, applying the same motion as like a hand soap but to hair. I found it lathered up quite nicely and didn't feel to heavy on my fine hair. I found it also easy to rinse the shampoo out of my hair. 2-3 motions covered my hair, however I do have thin, fine hair. Overall for a first timer using a shampoo bar, I was pleasantly surprised. Only down size is, I found it really hard for my over the shower holder to hold the shampoo bar.

As someone that had never used a shampoo bar before I was really excited to try this Garnier Fructis one! First thing that impressed me more was the amazing smell of the product, even when inside the box. Second thing was all the eco friendly ticks that the product offer: vegan and 98% biodegradable formula, recyclable abs minimal packaging (no plastic) etc. The sensation of lathering your hair with 94% plant origin shampoo is just great! At first I was worried if it’s efficacy as I have a bleached and damaged hair, but the formula is so gentle and foams so well that I didn’t feel any residues Kraft behind. On the contrary, my hair was deep cleaned but soft and healthy - of course I need to apply extra conditioning/mask to keep my locks hydrated, but as a shampoo, I would definitely recommend this bar to everyone that wants something that smells and fell amazing and as a plus is a smart solution to a sustainable choice!

This shampoo bar was so very refreshing!! I have used it every couple of days since using it and still have so many uses left! It nourished my scalp and my hair and softened the strands. Granite has been a brand I have grown up and trusted since I was little and when I saw that they had come out with a shampoo bar I was very excited! So to say I was keen to try it out was an understatement once I got my hands on one! It left me very impressed and eager to continue using it and see how far the bar would get me. My hair looks so much better, softer, brighter and shinier since adding this into my shower routine

I am so pleasantly surprised by Garnier Fructis Hair Food shampoo bar - aloe Vera hair food. I didn’t have much expectations from this bar shampoo to be honest but it has taken me with a surprise along with all the points of being free from artificial colourants, preservatives, silicones and above all no plastic waste. This product hits all the marks. And the hairs feel very soft and hydrated after use. The use is very simple. The 94% plant origin shampoo is highly appealing and feels to good to use it. The plastic free packaging is a big plus.

The Garnier Fructis Hair Food Shampoo Bar is an innovative and fantastic product. I love how it has absolutely no plastic waste, which is a huge issue with other products. It does take a bit of getting used to since it's such a novel format for shampoo, but because I already use bar soap I found it pretty easy to get used to. It smells really good as well! I love how they explain the ingredients on the packaging. I find that it performs alright, it did not leave my hair fantastically smooth or anything like that but I did feel like it cleaned it well enough. Overall, I would recommend this product.

I really enjoyed this shampoo bar! Although my hair is quite coarse, it did a great job cleaning through the detangled hair, that unfortunately is my head! I really enjoyed the fresh smell, especially to wake you up in the morning. I used this on my son and my partner used it and they both enjoyed it. I think the only downside is that there is nowhere to put it after you start to use it. I put it in an old soap container I found, but feel like it wasnt the best option. So perhaps next time, or have the option to purchase a storage box, as then it goes like a damp soap bar, I did allow it to dry a few times, but during these busy periods, not everyone remembers to place it in a drier area.

The soap bar was really really effective to use. The smell of the product is so amazing. At first, I thought it would not wash out my hair properly since I had applied oil, but just like other products, this one washed my hair excellently, leaving it hydrated as well. I followed the product the hair mask the aloe vera hair food. I also used the product without the hair mask, as the shampoo on its own did clean my hair really well Overall, the product is really environmentally friendly and works excellently leaving the hair hydrated and soft. Great product, will definitely repurchase it again

I have tried and tested various shampoos and my hair often comes out feeling oily or dull, but when Beauty Crew asked me to trial Garnier's Hair Food Shampoo Bar I was intrigued and very impressed! The scent is refreshing and you really feel like your hair is getting a good clean. The biodegradable packaging is also a winner - all I need is a soap holder to keep it in in-between washes. I agree with another reviewer who flagged the "2 in 1" marketing on the product. This is the only downside and has nothing to do with the quality of the product, more brought confusion on a first read that it was a shampoo and conditioner in 1 rather than 2 bottles of shampoo in 1. Overall, I am converted to the shampoo bar life and look forward to further scents being brought out. Will be trying this product along with a conditioner bar to see how it ties in.

I found this bar so easy to use, and once it was in my hair it lathered up just like normal shampoo. It had a wonderful scent, and my hair felt clean and fresh after use. It is important to make sure you follow on with a conditioner after use as it did feel quite drying on the hair (similar to most shampoos). I love that there is no waste, and just putting it in a travel soap case helps to keep it dry in between uses. I hope to see more companies going this way, as it just shows that you can achieve a great product without all the packaging.

This was my first time trying a Shampoo Bar. I was surprised to see how well it performed. Extremely pleased to see the beauty industry making efforts be more environmental friendly. The packaging is made from cardboard and can be recycled. The ingredients are plant derived formulas, vegan and biodegradable. The tear shaped bar is easy to hold and I was surprised to see how well it lathers up. So I don't need much of the product. I also realised that it washed off quite easily, and I ended up saving so much of water and time! However, you will need to follow up with a conditioner depending on the type of your hair. The Garnier Fructis Shampoo bar can be used daily as it is very mild, unlike the other commercial chemical based shampoos. It smells amazing and can also be used as an all-over body wash, or even as a shave soap. Quite multifunctional, hence reducing usage of other products. So no more clutter in your bathroom or extra plastic bottles. Convenient to use when travelling as well, so you won't need to pack travel size bottles and worry about leaks in your luggage! Overall my hair felt soft, clean and smell amazing. The shampoo bars proved to be great for both hair health and the planet.

I’ve never tried a shampoo bar before now and I’m honestly pleasantly surprised. At first I was a little sceptical however I was very happy with my experience trialling this. Packaging is simple and plastic free which I think is so important now days and I am more drawn to companies taking this initiative. Scent is not too over powering and is a nice clean fragrance. Usage is simple and I genuinely felt I needed less product than traditional shampoo and conditioner. Hair afterwards felt just as clean too ! And almost lighter. Definitely will be repurchasing!

This was the first time I’ve tried a shampoo bar, and was a little bit dubious, couldn’t quite shake the feeling that I was washing my hair with a regular bar of soap… I was in fact wrong, this worked so well and was nothing like I had convinced myself it would be. The scent was lovely and fresh, the texture was smooth and easy to emulsify in your hands or straight on the hair with backward strokes which is made easy by the tear drop shape of the bar. Because there’s no packaging there was no unnecessary fiddling with a plastic bottle which I can find challenging at times. The end result was very fresh and soft hair, not squeaky clean like I had imagined which is great. I would love to see a conditioner bar added to the product line to make it more cohesive, hopefully in the future that will come to fruition.

First and foremost, it is so nice to know that there is something in the hair department which caters to people who are environmentally conscious. This product ticks all the boxes in doing that ie. No preservatives, artificial colourants, no silicone and no plastic waste! And all whilst having an addictive aloe vera scent and plus this foams just like any other liquid shampoo. It certainly does hydrate the hair and you don’t have to use too much to get that effect because I think one time I may have gone overboard with the lathering and my hair felt as though there was still some residue. So a little goes a long way with this product! I always use conditioner so I’m keen to add that soap bar to try out in the future. Highly impressed with this product and the consideration and thought by the Garnier team to making this available.

This shampoo bar is awesome. My hair feels so soft after using it and has a noticeable shine to it. It also feels a lot lighter and cleaner than it normally would after using regular shampoo. I love that it is eco friendly and plastic free too. After using it multiple times, I have hardly used much of it at all so I feel like it is going to last me ages. The smell of the bar itself is quite strong but it doesn’t leave an overly strong scent on your hair. In fact, my husband has commented more than once now how nice it smells. I work on the ocean so the salt air can really dry my hair out and I am loving that this bar helps keep it nice and soft.

Love so much about this product but was a bit disappointed by the slightly waxy feeling it left on my hair. I was really drawn to the concept of a bar shampoo, rather than a bottled shampoo. The smell of this product is heavenly - super clean and fresh smelling and the smell lingers on my hair which I'm a big fan of. I wasn't sure what the texture would be like once applied to the hair. Surprisingly, it lathered quite well. It definitely still felt soapy to me, rather than a gel or liquidy consistency like bottled shampoo but I honestly think it got very close to what I'm used to. My only issue was that my hair felt slightly waxy afterwards.

I am not a newbie when it comes to shampoo bars, having tried a few of them. However, I have come to learn that there are good shampoo bars, and there are not so good shampoo bars. This beauty sits firmly in the great shampoo bars category! It smells absolutely divine, similar to other products in their hair care line. It's fruity, tropical and strong. The scent lingers in the packaging, and manages to fragrance my hair well. It reminds me of being on an island holiday, which is how I want to feel when I need to wash my hair. Since I don't wash my hair very often, usually once or twice a week, I like that the scent lingers for a while. The shampoo bar lathers well, and I felt like it was cleansing my hair well. All I have to do is run it through my medium length hair a few times, and I can feel it lathering up. I like that I feel as though I am not using heaps of product either, which is great as the product claims to contain the equivalent of two shampoo bottles. It also rinsed well, and left my hair feeling smooth. I have a soap tray in my shower, and noticed it dries well. Make sure you let it dry otherwise your bar will continue to disintegrate and it would be a waste of product. I like using shampoo bars as it reduces my plastic consumption, and I hope other brands create bar products!

This product is great for your hair and the environment! I am a big advocate for lowering plastic waste in the bathroom, as that is the biggest contributor to the whole house. The shampoo bar is quite large and will obviously last for a while which is also good for my wallet! First of all the Shampoo Bar smells great. It is easy to use and you just hold it in your hands like soap and rub it into your hair until there is a lather of shampoo. Once in your hair, it feels nice and smooth. Once my hair dried I could notice a nice shine to it and it felt very clean. I am sure if you used the matching conditioning mask it would feel any better! The only thing annoying with shampoo bars is they go a bit soggy when left out, so a little metal container which you could buy to fit this shampoo bar would be a good idea!

I've never used a shampoo bar for my hair (as I was quite skeptical and it looks like soap) but after using the Garnier Fructis Shampoo Bar, this is such a genius idea. The smell of the bar is absolutely sensational and the first time I used it, I had to admit that it took quite some time getting used to as I have thick, long hair. Nevertheless, I got used to using this and by the third time I really appreciated the way it lathered my hair and left my hair smelling really good and my hair felt refreshed and clean! I realised the shampoo bar is a perfect product to take with me when I'm travelling instead of lugging a huge bottle of shampoo which I would normally throw up. It's a small item which you can just carry with you anywhere and this will definitely be my go-to product when I decide to go away!
