Giorgio Armani Rouge D’Armani Lipstick

Browsing David Jones I decided to treat myself to a high quality lipstick and expand my lipstick collection at the same time. I chose Armani because - well basically I’ve loved every single Armani product I’ve ever tried. I settled down to the pleasure of trying several of the 19 luscious colours, but finally chose the lightest nude, 100, as the most versatile (read: I can wear it to work AND feel like a million dollars). This lipstick just glides on, it feels creamy with a smooth, satin texture, almost thick, but definitely not tacky. It looks as good as it feels – perfectly pigmented, outlining my lips smoothly, no bleeding or feathering to be seen. My usually dry lips feel moisturised and protected and - the true test – I’m not diving into my handbag for a lip balm, which I often do several times a day. In fact, if they ever developed a lip balm that was nourishing AND highly pigmented, this lipstick would be a good starting point. Rouge D’Armani promises to be long-lasting and stay in place for up to 8 hours. I can’t  verify the 8 hours, but it does live up to its long-lasting promise, as my lips felt hydrated the rest of the day, it stays in place after eating and barely makes an imprint on a coffee cup. Unlike a stain it wears off gradually, no “pink ice-block” residue here! Always in search of double uses for a product, I’ve found that this creamy lipstick can be worn over a too-dry lipstick in a similar or complimentary colour, so you can get more wear out of other products too. The packaging is elegant and sleek with the usual Giorgio Armani logo and has the best magnetic closure ever – the lipstick literally closes itself. This makes it a perfect choice for travel – you know it will never be separated from its lid, leaving lipstick over your handbag lining!  As usual with a high quality product you can expect to pay a higher price, but it’s so long-lasting you can expect to have it for a long time. I can’t wait to choose my next Rouge D’Armani shade! I can highly recommend this product, especially for those with dry lips or fine lines and for those who like a satin, rather than a matte, finish to their lipstick.

I chose a YLBB (your lips but better) shade in this when I ordered it online as the safe option because I really wanted to check out the quality of this lipstick after reading a lot of outstanding reviews.  After trying it out for myself, I can say the praise is definitely justified.  The packaging is superb.  It's heavy, smooth, sleek and shouts, "I'm fabulous!  Look at me!", while at the same time quietly whispering, "Don't mind me.  I'm just here being all classy and sophisticated."  There's a unique magnetised feature where you just get the cap close enough over the tube and it snaps back into position, which is really handy and fun to play with.  Staying power is great and the finish is a cross between creamy and suede.  Rating this among other lipsticks in this price range, I would have to choose this one over other brands (colour selection permitting) due to superior quality.  It's definitely worth having at least one of the Rouge d'Armani lipsticks in your collection as it's truly an outstanding formula which is presented beautifully in superb packaging.

i was lucky enough to receive this gorgeous lipstick in a prize package and it is so divine, I recommend this to anyone who loves a highly pigmented lipstick. The colour is divine and it comes in 19 gorgeous shades, hard to choose. This is a really high quality lipstick, which shows in the price but it would be worth paying the extra as this lipstick is so long lasting. This lipstick is super hydrating, not at all drying and leaves a gorgeous luxurious sheen. The black packaging is really luxe and feels high end, a treat for when you need to do touch ups. It feels light to wear and is a real treat. I love this and highly recommend it
