Removes dandruff without harsh drying
This is a great conditioner for protecting against dandruff while not drying hair. This conditioner leaves my hair soft and smooth and easy to style. No dandruff, I simply massage into scalp and rinse, so easy. It comes at a great price and the quality is really good. The conditioner is quite thick and rich and luxe. I recommend using the matching shampoo for great results. Great product
Really loved the buttery texture of this conditioner. Not much was needed and it soaked into my roots nicely. It left my hair smelling fresh and clean, with my roots feeling very smooth. My hair doesn't feel as frizzy after sleeping with semi wet hair.
Left hair smooth and smelling nice
Gentle on eyes
Smells very nice
Left hair smooth and not frizzy
Very disappointing that these products claimed to be sulphate and silicon free (the main reason that I decided to try them), only to find these ingredients listed on the back of the bottle. The product itself was nice on my hair but not something I would personally use due to the sulphates and silicon.
Tough on dandruff, but drying.
First up, this conditioner takes a little bit of getting used to, as most conditioners are only put through the body and ends of your hair - whereas this conditioner is put through right from the scalp down (I guess to help with the dandruff aspect). I found it to be quite light, but seemingly moisturising. However, I have not found that these products are adding volume to my hair, although they are certainly purifying. Instead, my hair seems quite flat and a little dry. Although this seems to be a good resetting product for dandruff, given its drying affect, I would probably not use it on an ongoing basis.
Okay as a conditioner
Similar to the shampoo, this conditioner claims to be helping with the dry and itchy scalp but I found it to be similar to any other conditioner.
It’s an ok conditioner no very moisturising on my dryish hair,
Also it is said on the packaging that the conditioner is sulfate and silicon but the ingredient at the back says it had silicon which is a bit confusing but overall a decent product.
A great conditioner
The Heads and Shoulders Supreme Conditioner is lovely anti dandruff product. The conditioner is nice and thick with an easy to use flip flop lid for quick and easy use in the shower. The lather is fluffy when you rub it into your hair, and it washes out nicely giving your hair that beautiful clean feeling that is free of dandruff flakes which is very important, when using an anti-dandruff product. The fragrance was gentle and pleasant, not over powering like some anti-dandruff products are. The conditioner gave my hair moisture and made it smooth when I brushed it, without big annoying knots. My scalp feels good and is not itchy which is great for me, this is probably due to there being no silicones, colorants and parbens. I enjoyed using this product as it helped to get rid of my dandruff and made my hair feel full of volume instead of straight and flat, with an additional super clean feeling.
I used the Head & Shoulders conditioner every second day when washing my hair. It hydrated my hair so well, leaving it feeling super soft! I would recommend this to others looking for an affordable conditioner to add some volume to their hair.
This is an amazing product with a great smell.
I loved how it felt afterwards and had a lot less dry scalp after using it. My hair was not as dry either
Sulphates in shampoo, silicones in conditioner
First of all, thank you BC and P&G for letting me trial the Head & Shoulders Supreme 0% Purify & Volume Conditioner.
The conditioner bottle is 200mL which is smaller than other Head & Shoulders products I used in the past (they were ~350-400mL). I wasn't sure if this is of a smaller size for just this particular line or has the overall product size been reduced for the brand. However, I find this size quite convenient for storage in shower caddy.
The conditioner is a creamy lotion which is on the slightly thinner side in terms of consistency. This shampoo and conditioner duo claims to purify and volume which I absolutely agree. After using the shampoo and conditioner duo, the root of my hair is less oily, and I can get away with not washing my hair for many days to follow (especially in the current isolation situation!) However, the products (especially the shampoo) seem quite harsh on my hair and I find it knottier and drier than usual. The generous application of conditioner can help to some extent but it cannot restore my hair to its original condition. I guess there has to be a trade off when using a purifying shampoo - can't have the best of both worlds. This duo is probably more suitable for those with oily hair.
What I find very irritating though, is the marketing claims that it made both on the product and on BC product description. On the CONDITIONER bottle, it states "0% sulphates". The conditioner in fact does not contain any sulphate, but there are two problems to making such a claim - ONE, the pairing shampoo is full of sulphates (sodium laureth sulphates as the second ingredient), and TWO, a typical conditioner does not contain any sulphates anyway (it is usually the shampoo which contains sulphates, as sulphate is a foaming and emulsifying agent which gets rid of the oil). Moreover, the product description on Beauty Crew reads:
"Head & Shoulders Supreme 0% Purify & Volume Conditioner is an anti-dandruff conditioner formulated without sulphates, parabens, silicones or colourants to assist in the maintenance of a healthy and protected scalp. The conditioner contains nourishing argan oil and a blend of antioxidants including vitamins A and E."
which is simply not true. The conditioner contains DIMETHICONE which is the most common form of cosmetic silicone.
Personally, I do not have any issues to use products containing sulphates or silicones in moderate amounts, as they do have their respective functions to enhance user experience. However, making this sort of misleading marketing claims is my absolute pet peeve, and for this reason I am not able to recommend this brand to anyone.
Soft and smooth hair
A good clarifying and anti-dandruff shampoo and conditioners are staples in my haircare. I have been using the Head & Shoulders Supreme 0% Purify & Volume Conditioner for some time now and pairing it with the matching shampoo.
I like to alternative my haircare and once a week need to use a purifying shampoo and conditioners, and its excellent this conditioner also has the added benefit of being anti-dandruff.
Super easy to apply, and the conditioner is thick and creamy and feels like it is nourishing my hair as a apply it. The conditioners smells amazing, slightly citrus like and the scent stays very softly in your hair after it’s washed. I love how freshly soft and smooth my hair feels after using this conditioner. The shampoo does a great job of removing all the build up and this conditioner adds nourishment and hydration back into my hair.
I also colour my hair and this Head & Shoulders conditioner doesn’t strip any of the colour away.
Affordable with great results. This is a dependable bargain buy.
I was looking forward to using these products as at first glance they were advertised as silicon and sulfate free. On closer inspection I found this was not the case. I found the conditioner to be average. I don’t think the formula was any more effective on my dandruff than other dandruff conditioners I have have used. This conditioner is advertised as ‘sulfate free’. I am fairly certain that sulfates are not a typical ingredient of conditioner. Similarly the shampoo is advertised as ‘silicon free’, another ingredient not typically found in shampoo. I am not impressed with the marketing or these products or the products themselves.
Same but surprisingly different
I have always used Head & Shoulders as the slightest use of any hair product gives me an itchy and dry scalp. This is the first time I have used this range of Head & Shoulders. I was pleased with the product, I was expecting it to be more of the same but it wasn’t. It has a beautiful fragrance that leaves my hair smelling better than ever. I styled as usual and within the first use I did see and feel a difference my hair felt clean and smooth and the volume was a nice surprise and nothing overwhelming as I already have a lot of volume. Overall it was a pleasant change in the product and I will definitely continue to use this range and even try some of their others.
I tried the shampoo and conditioner for a week and I was not so trustworthy on volume conditioner but the first day of using it I liked the conditioner very much. Turns out I've been keeping using it and it gives you that natural volume from the roots of your scalp. Used other volume conditioners before and I was let down many times but this one really works. It does condition my hair (I've bleached&colored hair) not bad but since it's damaged a lot I don't expect much. Anyhow I'm quite happy with the result and would recommend people who want to achieve conditioning&natural volume hair finish at the same time.
Purifying and hydrating
I’ve been trailing this conditioner with the shampoo and the two together are amazing. Flames up nicely and even has a pretty scent. Which still smelt nice after drying. I suffer from dandruff on and off all year around and I felt like this did the job at clearing and hydrating my scalp. I love the extra argan oil and blend of antioxidants with vitamin A and E. The only down side, was i didn’t get any volume. I’m not sure what happened but it seemed flat. Other than that, I really liked it.
Left my hair so soft & nourished
This conditioner left my hair feeling so soft and nourished as well as giving it a bit of body. The fragrance is fresh and clean and it does a great job at keeping the dandruff away.
Average performing conditioner
My big concern with this range is that while both the shampoo and conditioner are paraben free, only the shampoo is silicone free, and only the conditioner is sulphate free. This is slightly misleading as most shampoos don't contain silicone and most conditioners don't contain sulphates. You want your shampoo to be free of sulphate and conditioner to be free of silicone, which isn't the case with this range. However, because of the way this is labelled in small print, it can be easy for consumers to mistakenly believe this conditioner is silicone free when it isn't.
Overall, an average performing conditioner.
A nice everyday conditioner
This is a nice conditioner that leaves hair feeling soft and doesn't weigh it down - and has a nice fragrance. I have long used Head and Shoulders to help with my dry scalp, but didn't find this as effective as other variants from the brand. Still gives an effective wash and my hair doesn't get greasy quickly, but I didn't notice any great volumising effect. I like that it has less nasties than their previous variants, but disappointed after 4 consecutive washes, it doesn't seem to be really helping with the dandruff which is why I buy this brand.
I really enjoy using this conditioner along with the Head & Shoulders Supreme 0% Purify & Volume Shampoo. It has a fresh fragrance and leaves my hair silky and easy to brush. It's my new favourite conditioner that I will be repurchasing.
Super clean and light
My hair felt super clean and fresh. I noticed that my hair was easier to straighten the next day as it was extra soft and smooth. I also loved that there aren’t any sulphates or parabens in the product which is quite rare for a supermarket shelve shampoo and conditioner.
