Good product for post inflammatory pigmentation (the pesky red spots that stay after a pimple has disappeared), and effective for pigmentation if you are committed to applying the product as specified.  I was researching for cost-effective ways to treat pigmentation.  I have quite a lot of pigmentation appearing and vitamin C serum is not effective for my pigmentation any more and I am not sure laser is the right option for me. While researching for treatments I read that the active ingredient Hydroquinone is effective for stopping melanin production and therefore reducing pigmentation, but that it is prescription only.  However, with more Google research I found John Plunkett's Superfade Cream which contains the active ingredient, Hydroquinone, at a good amount of 2%. I used it three times daily as directed on the package, for two months,  and it is very quickly effective for post inflammatory redness, it will remove that in a few days. It was mildly effective for lightening my pigmentation while I was using it. However, I have stopped using it for the time being because it has Salicylic Acid as well as the Hydroquinone and both of these in cream form tend to travel from my forehead throughout the day and end up in my eyes causing a stinging sensation and copious weeping, which isn't practical.  Since stopping I believe my pigmentation has returned to what it was before I began using it.  I am considering using it purely at night and assessing how it impacts on my pigmentation over time, obviously the results may not be a fast as the brand's suggested six moths, with three times daily application, but since I know it can be effective at fading this may be a better approach. At $30 odd dollars I would recommend you try it especially for post pimple redness, it perhaps more viable for smaller facial areas away from the eyes.
