I've tried quite a few La Roche Posay products over the last few years and have been quite impressed with every single one of them.
So naturally, when I needed a new foundation over winter (my skin was getting too dry for my usual powder foundation, yet still too oily in tzones for most liquid foundations),I decided to give this a try.
It appealed to me straight away as it had added SPF,was great for sensitive skin and was non comedogenic.
The foundation comes packaged in a slim plastic tube with twist off lid and the product comes out through a tiny hole which makes it easy to get the correct amount out - no need to worry about over dispensing. It has a very mild aroma ,similar to many other La Roche products I have tried ,pleasant and "clean".
The product itself is a nice creamy texture and the shade (I got the lightest available) was darker than I expected which initially worried me. I fully expected to look rather orange after applying this to my quite pale skin!
The cream feels surprisingly lightweight and breathable when applied and it truly feels like you are wearing nothing at all! This was a huge tick for me as I can not stand the feel of heavy pore clogging foundations and it is part of the reason I avoid liquid and cream foundations.
To begin with, the shade did look a bit dark on my skin. With a little blending and a tiny bit of powder foundation on my tzones however, this foundation looked perfect; a gorgeous high coverage matte finish that looked entirely natural.
Unlike other liquid foundations( that cause me further breakouts and blocked pores),with this one, I felt like I was healing and protecting my skin whilst wearing it.
My skin and eyes are super sensitive and a lot of products make my eyes water and my skin itch.Never had this issue with any of the La Roche Posay range and this product was no exception.
I'd recommend this for anyone with sensitive or combination/blemish prone skin.It not only hides redness and blemishes effectively, it stops the problems from reoccurring again. All whilst protecting skin from UVA and UVB damage!
Another winner from a brand that has never disappointed me.
This is a very beautiful foundation that I use when my skin gets sensitive around winter months. This foundation doesn't irritate or cause redness to my skin and it has medium coverage which feels very lightweight and on my skin and doesn't get fakey throughout the day. However, I do wish it comes with a higher SPF so that I don't have to apply sunscreen underneath.
This is a beautiful foundation that has a medium coverage that is still heavy enough to disguise imperfections. It has a lovely fluid silky consistency which is quite luxe and it glides onto skin beautifully. I prefer to apply it with my fingers and it’s easy to blend. The handy tube is easy to squeeze out and use. It never irritates my sensitive skin and it gives a professional looking coverage, hiding flaws and it feels light to wear. This foundation will last all day without going casket or giving a nasty oily shine, it’s quite matte and I love the spf protection. I can’t fault this foundation and honestly can’t find a negative, I use it a lot and highly recommend it to anyone who has never tried it.
This is fantastic for people with redness / rosacea or dry skin. It covers red areas beautifully and gives skin a natural matte glow with medium coverage. It lasts a long time and doesn't build up into a cakey or thick coverage, it stays smooth.
The ingredients are very good and my skin always feels slightly moisturised and calm after use.
This is a great fluid foundation that blends easily and has a light formula, yet gives me heavier coverage in areas my skin needs it the most. I have sensitive skin and tend to get redness on my cheeks and decided to purchase this foundation as I am a huge fan of the La Roche-Posay Mineral Compact Powder Foundation. This foundation glides on really well and doesn't feel heavy or drying. I do tend to get some shine during the day when I wear this, so it's not truly matte or long-wearing. My favourite things about this product are that it's definitely non-irritating, it comes in a squeezable tube and it contains good SPF protection. I don't like the fact that there is only a handful of shades and the lightest shade is still a bit dark and orange for me. However it doesn't cause any breakouts or look caked on, and works best for me when I apply it with a slightly damp sponge. It's super quick and easy to apply and there is no spillage or wastage, and I'm pleased it doesn't come in a glass bottle so I can pack it in my makeup bag when travelling.
I would recommend this foundation to anyone with sensitive skin and redness, as it causes no irritation and covers imperfections well. The shades do apply a bit darker and this is the one thing that's stopping me from repurchasing this product, as I can look a bit orange when I use this foundation.
This foundation applies very beautifully and when I was still using it I didn't need to use concealer because this foundation has very good coverage. This tube packaging helps avoid product wastage and due to the small hole prevents air from coming in and oxidising the foundation. My one complaint is that most of the available shades lean towards the yellow spectrum of undertones there isn't much for people for neutral or pink undertones.
As I have rosacea, dry, sensitive and reactive skin I was excited when La Roche- Posay came out with a foundation, as they are known for their skincare products for sensitive skin. The product itself comes in a sturdy plastic tube with a twist on lid, which is good because the chances of the lid coming off when travelling is virtually zero, so very travel-friendly. The foundation has a moisturiser feel to it, and applies very well, I prefer a sponge or my fingers over a brush application with this product for a smoother application. It has no fragrance and my skin had no negative reactions to wearing it, even after a 10 hour shift at work. I like how my skin feels when wearing this product and it covers my redness well. However, in my opinion it doesn't have a ultra-high coverage formula as advertised, and is not a very long acting foundation (it doesn't claim to be), I prefer to wear this foundation when I know its going to be on for only a few hours. I would have preferred it to have a higher SPF, and its a little expensive for the amount of product you get but, all in all I enjoy wearing this product and would probably buy again just for the fact that my skin has been fine with it.
This has so many beneficial ingredients, and it feels silky and lightweight to put on - it's a treat to wear and you feel like you're doing something good for your skin at the same time!
The only things I don't like are the low SPF value and the fact that it states it is high coverage, which I think is overstating its coverage level. It also is a bit expensive as the tube is quite small.
This amazing La Roche Porsay "Toleriane Teint Corrective Fluid Foundation" is more serum-like and applies just like silk. The coverage is excellent and it never looks caked even if you apply an extra layer over a blemish. It has very good wear ability too. Its anti-inflammatory properties make it perfect for those with skin sensitivities, acne, and rosacea; plus for those of those of us who just care about their general skin health and only want to use products that contain skin loving cosmetic ingredients. It suits all skin types (I am in my 50's, while my daughter is in her 20's with more acne prone skin - we both use this wonderful foundation and believe we have have found our holy grail foundation). Your skin looks so natural and healthy with this foundation but still with a wonderful coverage. I am a big convert having used this foundation for over 6 months now. Do give this wonderful "skin loving" foundation a try!
