Manicare Volcanic Stone Roller Oil Absorber

I have a super oily face when Wearing makeup so this product was much needed. Super happy to be trialling this. I’d originally seen the product by another brand but the manicare one is more cost efficient. So good to use to touch up on makeup around the t-zone especially when in the office. It fits okay in all my bags and has a removable lid + spare roller which keeps it really clean and hygienic. It’s always interesting to have a look at the roller after I’m done de-oiling myself. I will most definitely repurchase this again when it’s finished and recommend it to my oily friends and family!

This will be a must have in summer months for me. My skin type can slightly vary and I find that using this around my cheek area is beneficial. This is a fantastic alternative to the oil blotting sheets, more eco friendly. This is also a handy tool that will fit in a small bag or purse with refill option for hygiene and so on.. I trialled this on my eczema prone skin and had no irritation. Pleasantly surprised and would recommend for oily skin. It would help if wearing makeup, to be able to soak any excess and smooth your base too. Very handy!!

I’d never heard of anything like this and was excited to try it. It does seem quite flimsy and I imagine it would probably break easily. The plastic didn’t seem to be the best quality. The use of the product was pretty good! It certainly delivered and absorbed oil, but perhaps too much?! It’s honestly quite drying. It was difficult to clean the ball and I felt like it was just never truly clean. I’d use it but probably wouldn’t purchase it! I’d be interested if they could make one not out of plastic. I must add - watching the ball absorb all the oil is very satisfying, haha.

I used this daily before applying makeup, it really does absorb the oil in my t - zone and has a matte effect. I didn’t try to use during the day, due to the possibility of having makeup also absorb ( I don’t think it would be very hygienic). I washed the ball every two days and replaced with the spare. Changing the balls can be a little tricky at first, and I was concerned about breaking the product. I found the plastic a little cheap and would be concerned if it broke whilst carrying in a handbag. Maybe if it was made from another product, it would appear to be so cheap.

This is compact enough to go into my purse and it does what it says, replacing blotting papers. Works well to absorb shines on my face, however I am naturally not that oily, only on my T-zone on super hot summer days. Easy to use with a hygienic cap, however not sure if I like that it's got holes because dust might get in and irritate my skin. I like that it comes with a replacement stone. So far I have no irritation from it. Love the potential of environmental friendliness of this. Would recommend for people who have oily skin

I didn't know I needed this product until I used it for the first time! I used to reapply powder foundation in the middle of the day to combat my oily skin but this is such a better alternative that works just as well! Now I save on makeup which is a massive plus. I also like how it comes with a spare roller. I only use the ball once, replace it with the spare and then clean them both after 2 days. My only issue was struggling to find somewhere to put the spare ball! But I put it into a little jewelry pouch and found this is super easy. Couldn't recommend more for oily skin!

Great product overall! It absorbs oil well on the face and the volcanic stone is a little quirky and something you don’t see or hear about! However, a few things I feel needs to be looked at!! Firstly - the extra loose stone - how are we supposed to keep that fresh when there is no proper container for storage and the stone can easily be lost? Secondly, the container itself is quite awkward and bulky! I already have a lot of things to carry in my bag, and carrying an extra weight and luggage is not necessary. People would, unfortunately in this case, choose the paper oil absorbers as it’s handier and more convenient to carry!

Great little tool to keep in your handbag when you’re out and on the go. The volcanic stone roller really helped with the stubborn oily T-Zone that I can get so I can see myself using this a lot more when it comes around to warmer weather to help my skin and makeup looking matte and fresh at all times. Was a little strange to use at first but once you get used to it, you will be pleasantly surprise. It is a very interesting and innovative product and nice and compact too! I recommend those who use blot paper for their oily skin products to keep this product handy and in your purse to use quickly and effectively or just to keep close by.

I've never used stone roller before so I was lucky to receive this product as part of a trial by Beauty Crew. Though I didn't have high hopes initially, this product has really stunned me! It really does work like magic on your skin to absorb oil. While I generally have normal skin, sometimes during the day my skin does become a little shiny and oily especially if I am wearing makeup. This product did not ruin any makeup and absorbed the oil effortlessly. Although it looks chunky, it is easy to use and carry as well. Best part is that you also receive an extra stone as part of the packaging.

When I received this product I was definitely skeptical. It looks so strange and different to anything ive seen on the market before. However, it definitely helps the oily areas like my Tzone. I would recommend giving it a go. I do have dry/combination skin so my skin is not as oily as some others but I feel like it would work for most people. I do feel like the packaging and over all design could be more appealing. Im not sure if I saw it on a shelf I'd be curious enough to pick it up and give it a chance (which I believe it deserves). I received this item as part of the review crew but my answers are always honest and well considered.

I liked this product because it is small and easy to carry with you to any function. I was able to put this product to the test, to eliminate that unwanted shine at a recent wedding I attended. The product served me very well, when I reviewed the numerous photos I could tell this product did want it said it would do, absorb all that unwanted oil, and mattify my skin. There was no unwanted shine in the photos, my skin looked silky smooth and didn't take away any makeup I was wearing. However, it loses two stars because I'm not a fan of the plastic material choice and overall design look. I am also unsure of how long you can hygienically use this product for, before you need to change the volcanic ball over..

This is a very clever little tool. The compact size makes its perfect for popping into a purse or make up case. I have been prone to a bit of shine, particularly in the t-zone at the end of the day and this tool really absorbed the oil in that area, even through make up. This makes it the perfect tool to sneak into the purse for events and avoid the inevitable shine showing up in photos towards the end of the night. I imagine it would be even more useful for those with generally oily skin. The pack came with a spare roller which I haven’t had to use yet in a couple of weeks of use.

What an absolute game changer! Where has this been all my life. I was so skeptical when I first received my item to review, but in saying that I wanted to be proven wrong. I opened the package and It was a funny looking beauty tool. I Noticed the volcanic stone roller on the end, and really didn’t think much of it, still very much skeptical. But it completely surprised me, with its first roll over my skin oils, it was amazing! Literally soaked my oils up in the volcanic ball and my skin looked amazing and no more excess shine. I am Obsessed! So obsessed, it does an amazing job and gives me back my confidence later on in the day once my oils start coming through! I liked the idea that it essentially replaces the one use oil absorbing sheets and environmentally friendly in the long run. That being said, not sure how hygienic it is for it to be used multiple times. It does come with an extra stone for it to be replaced but didn’t give instructions how often you should be replacing it. I would of preferred the colour of the bottle to be more neutral and improved the quality of the roller to be more frictionless. Overall the product does the job but not entirely sure it is a staple product for me

I found this to be a strange product at first, I didn't like the thick pink plastic crayon like design. It looks a little cheap and not very environmentally conscious. Perhaps the holder could be made with some sort of bamboo? It seems unnecessary in my makeup/skincare routine as I am not so bothered by these things but it does WORK. It did absorb the oily bits on my T-zone and made it matte so I think this would be super handy in summer time or for those of us prone to oily skin. Again, a little chunky to carry around.

I am pleasantly surprised with this oil absorber roller. The rollerball transformed my skin from shiny to matte in a matter of seconds. It's a lightweight and portable, re-useable tool that absorbs excess facial oil as I roll it around my skin. It's gentle to the skin and quick and effective in mopping up the extra oil that I'm often prone to getting on my face as I have a naturally oily T-Zone with combination skin. It's a throw-in-my-bag-just-in-case product for nights out and special occasions.

Definitely something I’ll be using as the weather warms up and the humidity starts!

I’m not big on tools but I have seen something like this from another brand previosuly and was intirigued by it. I was super excited to be selected for this trial when I found out Manicare had come out with a similar tool. I like the idea and it definetly works. My only concern is the hygiene, I hope that it doesn’t collect bacteria even though I make sure to clean it very well. The size if compact and easy to carry around and it looks nice in the makeup bag/handbag. It’s a clever idea and much more eco friendly than blotting papers.

I suffer from oily skin and have constantly used blotting paper or even toilet paper to get rid of the excess oil on my skin but have worried about these single use items as I'm trying to be more sustainable with my products that I use. I love that you're able to re-use the stone roller and that it's small enough to fit in your purse. It's so handy to use before a meeting or if you're on the go and don't have the time to touch up, plus it comes with a replace stone so you're able to switch them out when you're cleaning the other one. I wish I had this in my life earlier it's my new secret weapon!

I have combination skin and struggle with my oily T-zone so I was so excited to trial the Manicare Volcanic Stone Roller Oil Absorber. I was really happy with the results that it gave. It was so easy to use, just roll it all over the area that needed mattifying and my skin was oil and shine free again. I really love the size of the volcanic stone roller. It’s quite compact and fits in my hand comfortably. It is also the perfect size to pop in my handbag and take with me for touch ups when I’m out and about. I also love that it comes with a spare Volcanic Stone ball so I can use one, then pop it out to clean and dry and I can replace it with the spare in the meantime. Overall I found this to be a wonderful product that I will definitely continue to use. I also highly recommend it to anyone that has oily skin.
