I really liked trialing this product! I really love a good quality, light in weight foundation with good coverage, and this one did not disappoint! It is very comfortable to wear all day and gave a flawless finish.
ALSO. . . I loved that it has a pump!
You don’t need to apply a lot of this product. I would squeezed the pump once fully, and felt that, that was more than enough coverage for a full face.
The shade that i picked suited my skin tone on point. When I first opened this product, it was very runny and looked to be transparent, however after a good shake of the bottle it thickened up quite nicely!
I would recommend this product to anyone is looking for a long lasting, all day, light in weight foundation.
Lovely everyday wear foundation
I was very lucky to receive this max factor foundation to trial! I instantly fall in love with the packaging of this product as soon as I see it! And to my surprise I loved that it has a pump it’s definitely a medium coverage foundation! I only needed a pump to cover my full face which gave me sheer to medium covergirl and it lasted almost all day ! I only have to touch my face with powder once throughout the day! It’s a really good foundation for oily skin I love it have already added uv! This foundation is available in almost all supermarkets and pharmacies and easily available to everyone! The colour selection is amazing and covers almost all skin tones ! It’s very affordable and fits in almost all budgets! It’s a very nice everyday wear foundation!
I'm always on the lookout for a high quality lightweight foundation, and this did not disappoint! I regularly use the Laura Mercier luminous foundation and I found this to be somewhat similar in coverage and colour. The colour I chose though was a little light for my skin, so I'd like to try it another colour.
I used this foundation with both luminous and pore smoothing primers on different occasions, and it seemed to work well with both. I'd say the coverage is buildable, and with a setting powder this will last all day. This is definitely at the higher end of drug store foundations in terms of quality! I'll continue to use this as I really loved the finish and it didn't look too overdone.
Budget friendly and worth a try
I have been a long-time wearer of Estée Lauder’s Double Wear foundation and was interested to try this new product by Max Factor. I love wearing long-wear foundation as I do long hours at work, live in sunny Brisbane and just need something that stays all day. I liked this product but did have some issues with it. Firstly you really need to shake it as the product tends to split (it first came out completely separated) which is annoying. Also I think the product is quite thin and doesn’t offer as much coverage as I would normally like which meant I had to use concealer with it. On a positive note - it is very comfortable to wear all day and gave a flawless finish. I find long-wear foundations can be drying on my skin but had no issues with this one - on the other hand I don’t know how it would last on a hot humid day in Brisbane (lucky we are going into winter at the moment). I think for the price point it is a good option to try.
Need to be more friendly for deeper skin tones.
I used this foundation only once as the shade was too light for my tanned complexion. The formula glided on easily but I was not able to wear it long enough to test how it faired. The pump style bottle was easy to use. However, I wished they had more shades especially in the darker shade range. I feel like with the current range I would have to buy at least 2 different shades to mix and apply. At the end of the day then it is the same as spending a little bit more and getting a high end brand that has more shades that eliminates the need to mix and match.
Light and breathable foundation with a trusty spf
When purchasing a foundation the most important consideration is does it include spf and I’m pleased to say this has 20spf. Considering the high spf level the consistency is light and feels very breathable on your skin.
You don’t need to apply too much of this product. I would squeeze once fully and that was more than enough coverage for full face. Apply on darker spots and then use a brush to evenly spread across the face. The foundering almost melts into face leaving the transition super smooth rather than sitting on top of skin and doesn’t leave any harsh lines.
After a days wear my skin still feels moist and not dried out like some other products.
I typically struggle with lots of foundations being too thick and drying but I’m really pleased with how this product performs and the natural glow it gives to your skin.
Ok not great
I found this make up to be failry average on my list, I found it quite heavy which I don't really like, it didn't glide into my skin great, it made my pores stand out more. The colour was quite light- but that was my bad picking choice off online. I feel if you liked heavier makeup this would be better suited to you, but I prefer a more glowy natural look compared to this. I also wasn't a fan of the packaging, would prefer a plastic squeeze tube to a glass one that you loose half the product in.
would suit younger , more flawless skin
I found this foundation to be just okay.
It would probably good for younger skins with less blemishes, so perhaps young women in their twenties with no lines. I felt that it really highlighted some of my blemishes (I am 40 years old with good skin, it didn't cover my slight pigmentation on my forehead)
It gives light to medium coverage and just didn't really sit well on my skin despite me using a primer. You could see where it was sitting around my enlarged pores on my nose and chin. The smell put me off a bit as well, as it wasn't over powering but it did have a chemical smell to it.
Average at best
The Max Factor All Day Flawless Foundation was not great for me. My original impression of the packaging was subpar at best. The packaging was quite dated but it did come in a pump which is always the best for foundation.
Moving on, the product itself has excellent coverage but I found it sat above my skin rather than blending into my skin. I also topped it up with a coloured powered to help stay on throughout the day. I did try it with/ without the a seperate primer as it’s advertised as a 3in 1, but I found it was not moisturising as I would of liked. I’d get that 3pm afternoon shine that most of us avoid like the plague.
I probably won’t recommend this product.
This was a very nice foundation product, medium coverage, goes on easily, especially with good skincare underneath and gives good coverage. Didn't stay on all day, wore off a little bit but I find that happens with most foundations especially when wearing a mask outside. The packaging is OK, doesn't feel super luxe but I guess it's a chemist brand foundation.
The colour was good on my face, not too yellow which I hate.
Good for those that don't want to spend a mint! Though I do find you get what you pay for with foundations and would go for something a bit more luxe.
My favourite drug store foundation!
I have loved trialling this foundation!
I am always super skeptical of standard “drug store” foundations. They never last long enough or give enough coverage but I have LOVED this foundation and will definitely be repurchasing in the future.
The foundation feels light weight while giving excellent coverage that lasts all day!! It blends well (I applied with a brush), it isn’t cakey and it doesn’t settle into fine lines or wrinkles. It has a subtle scent which I do not find offensive at all and I don’t notice it once it’s blended on my face.
This is my favourite drug store foundation and I will definitely be purchasing in the future.
Not perfectly flawless!
I had very high hopes from Max Factor face finity all day flawless foundation because of all the claims it mentioned on the label but it became a little short of my expectations. I chose the shade 44 warm ivory and it went very well with my complexion. It gave medium coverage to my skin and over all blended nicely on my skin. It didnt seem to oxidize for as long as I wore it. But here is the thing that disappointed me a bit. It seemed flaky on the t-zone area of my normal-oily skin and felt like it is just sitting on the face and actually enhanced my blackheads on my nose rather than hiding them and didnt blend at all because of which the foundation didn't leave a good overall impact on my face. I had a feeling that even though it has a primer in it, it will do a better job if I use it with a primer. I think it can work better on a normal skin and would look much better than on it looked on my skin.
Great lightweight foundation!
This foundation is a lot more lightweight than I anticipated it to be! I was initially surprised by how thin the formula is, but it blended so easily, with both a brush or fingers, and felt like nothing on the skin. It was super comfortable to wear even all day and lasted me an entire day without needed to touch up, even without a primer! However, I have normal to dry skin, so this might not be the case for everyone. With one pump for the whole face, the coverage is light to medium, but with how lightweight the formula is, you can deifnitely build it up and add more coverage without feeling like you're wearing a thick layer of makeup. I also like that the finish isn't too matte or too dewy - just looks like great, healthy skin! I'd definitely recommend this foundation!
First impressions of this product; it looks like all other drugstore foundations, but once I put it on I was pleasantly surprised!
It was lovely and lightweight, I didn’t feel like I was wearing makeup.
It says it’s a primer, foundation and concealer in one...while I can’t say much for the ‘primer’ I definitely felt it did well on the concealing side. I barely had to use any concealer to hide my spots and dark circles. Definitely wins points for that! Particularly from the point of view of a time poor mum, quick and easy is always a plus!!
I only wore it for light every day wear, but it would easily be buildable for a heavier makeup look. One think I did notice was it needed a lot more buffing than what I was used to, but once it was all buffed and applied it did sit nicely.
I did wear it a few times just mixed in with my moisturiser for a light touch of makeup without looking like I was wearing anything...this was probably my favourite was to wear this as it was so much easier to apply.
The colour match was perfect for my skin, which was surprising. I usually struggle to find a great match, so that’s a definite plus! It wasn’t horribly orange, nor too pink, I found it great for my neutral tones.
It’s stay power wasn’t ‘all day’ but in saying that I only applied it lightly, so with extra coverage could come extra stay power.
Unfortunately I was trialling this during lockdown so constantly wearing a mask didn’t help and it did end up transferring onto my masks.
While this may not be a foundation I would usually choose, I think it’s definitely one of the better foundations ever produced by Max Factor, and if I was ever stuck in a drugstore this would be my go to.
Find your coverage
When it comes to foundation I’m very particular about what I use and this can be based on what I am wearing it to and the coverage it gives. I definitely have my staples and it’s hard to budge but this did surprise me.
This foundation whilst lightweight and somewhat buidable, didn’t give the coverage that I expected. It covered quite well but not complete full coverage which I didn’t mind. Blending was easy enough with a sponge and primer and moisturised skin necessary! When used with powder as I usually would it creased more than normal around the eye and mouth area, so in future that will not be used with it.
The pump bottle itself was easy to apply and meant minimal wastage which I also liked about the product but the packaging itself didn’t seem of the quality of most foundations so the keeping of it will be seen in the future.
In terms of wear, whilst it proved to be long wear in some areas it was a bit patchy overtime.
Overall I didn’t mind this foundation as it was somewhat lightweight but not in the sense that it gave me the coverage I wanted to for the amount used.
Looked amazing on my skin !
I wasn’t expecting to love this but I did!! Not only was the shade a good match for me but I love the way that this foundation looked.
I made sure to prime and moisturise my skin as usual as I know what works for my skin and it all paired so beautifully with this foundation. It lasted really well on my skin when a lot of foundations seperate and split on my skin, especially around my chin but this didn’t happen! I wore it for a 10 hour shift of work and it still looked amazing when I got home. Super impressed and will continue wearing it!
Only reduced a star as I’m not a huge fan of the packaging but it does go with the rest of Max Factor’s branding, just cheap looking and feeling.
The shade suit my skin tone perfectly. When I first opened this product, it was very runny and transparent, only thickening up after shaking the bottle. On application, the foundation was on the runny side, but coverage was good and could be built up without looking cakey or heavy. I set my face with powder and spritz setting spray and it lasted the whole work day with only minimal creasing and patchiness around my chin area. Overall am happy with the product and would recommend this product for anyone looking for a medium coverage long lasting foundation.
Featherlight and airbrushed
This was a beautiful foundation to try out, I tried number 44 Warm ivory which matched my pale with yellow undertone complexion really well. I did my normal skincare routine underneath and applied it using a beauty blender for an airbrushed look and boy was it an airbrushed look, I was quite impressed, it lasted me from 6am till 7pm at night with no oxidation or weird creasing. It felt smooth and lightweight but buildable, I also applied a setting powder and setting spray. Would I recommend this? Yes I totally would
I was thrilled to be selected to trial Max Factor’s 3 in 1 all day flawless foundation as I’ve been a long time lover of the brand and their products. I absolutely love the concept of this product. It promises “ Exclusive Flexi-hold™ technology moves with your skin, delivering ultimate comfort during wear with an ultra-lightweight finish. Plus, the waterproof, sweat-proof, touch-proof finish lasts from day to night.” And delivers a matte yet radiant finish with full coverage. It is said to cover all imperfections including dark circles (which I have) and uneven skin tone. The formula encompasses an oil free primer, concealer and foundation all in one. This is why I knocked one star off. It works quite well although I think it still works better with a separate primer underneath and I felt like I needed extra concealer to fully cover my dark circles confidently. It wore well and was easy to apply although it did dry quickly so I felt I had to work quickly to ensure it applied evenly and without caking with whatever I used (brush, fingers or beauty blender). For a product designed to save time for busy women, I feel like the added spf 20 isn’t quite good enough and so I’d still have to apply sunscreen on anyway before rendering the primer aspect pointless. Overall I liked it and I’d consider purchasing it again.
A beautiful foundation!
I used this foundation before a night out and I was very surprised that it stayed put the whole time! I was dancing and sweating and my foundation was still flawless at the end of the night. I did find it separated a little on my forehead but I am very oily there so that could be why. It definately applies better with a damp beauty blender versus a brush but I was very happy with the foundation. It starts a light coverage but is very buildable into a full coverage which is great because a prefer a natural light coverage for day to day but a heavy coverage for nights out and big events. I highly recommend this foundation.
