Great refreshing taste but lacking in strength

I drink a lot of coffee and I found this quite weak considering it was level 5 intensity. It was light in flavour but i found it quite refreshing. When you open the pack it has a lovely chocolatey smell and the granules are really fine which makes it for easy mixing. I used one heaped teaspoon as recommended. I also let the water sit for a moment so not boiling hot before i pour in to not burn the flavour off. When you add the water gives off rich aroma smell and finishes with creamy bubbles on top which looks pretty professional, not like your average instant coffee.

Nice instant coffee

The Moccana instant coffee is quick and convenient. It tastes ok, better than other cheaper alternative instant coffees, and fairly similar to a French press coffee. It was creamy and smooth, but tasted a little bitter to me. I tried it with full fat milk and skimmed milk and it tasted quite similar. I didn't try it with non diary milk options however. I am used to drinking barista coffees, so this didn't taste as nice, however for an instant coffee it does the trick and is a good option if there isn't a nespresso machine around.

Smooth and Strong flavour!

I am a regular coffee drinker so I was excited to try this! I have a fully automatic machine which I love dearly but it’s nice to have a break from it especially being noisy at times. The flavour is really nice and strong but not intense or bitter which makes it pleasant to enjoy and it’s a nice foam to it which was interesting to see. You can add more teaspoons for intensity but but is suffice. I wouldn’t mind if they bring out other flavour ranges and ones that can be enjoyed with milk but do recommend.

Tastes amazing - not super strong

So I already buy moccona coffee but had never tried the instant blonde roast. What a difference it is! This blend is so smooth and creamy and tastes absolutely amazing. The packing is beautiful and bright and caught my eye in the supermarket, even before I was sent this to review. I do have one criticism which is that this is quite weak compared to the regular moccona coffee. If you do not like strong coffee this may be a bonus for you. I doubled the amount of teaspoons that the instructions said and found this was just right for me. Is it possible that this is because I am a coffee addict? Maybe. I would definitely recommend at trying this if you love your instant coffee!

Creamy and delicious

This Moccona barista reserve blonde roast coffee was delicious. Not too bitter, overpowering or intense, but smooth, creamy and fragrant. Love the amount of crema it makes for an instant coffee without the use of a coffee machine. I didn't need to add any milk as it was so smooth and creamy as is. Will definitely be purchasing this from now on as it gives such great quality and is so quick and simple to prepare. It tastes like an expensive coffee from a Cafe. I like the finely ground texture and found it dissolved rapidly and fully, leaving no residue in the bottom of the cup which can happen with some other instant brands. Love it.

Light and creamy

A very light and creamy tasting coffee. As someone who usually exclusively drinks espresso, this instant coffee isn’t a bad alternative. I would definitely have this over most instant coffees I’ve tried. The blonde roast adds a nice light, nutty kind of flavour. It does create a very nice creamy crema on top of the cup to really add to the creamy consistency. The flavour isn’t super strong but does the job. The coffee itself is very fine and dissolves very easily in water. Overall, I think it is a good instant coffee. The crema factor adds a nice touch and the flavour is really enjoyable. I like the ease of use and the price is really good.

Smooth and creamy

Very smooth and creamy. This instant coffee is probably my favourite one yet. I don’t drink instant coffee on daily basis, I grind fresh beans and brew it daily, however on the days when time is tight and I need to quickly get out of the door instant coffee ja a perfect solution. This coffee is powdered which means it dissolves quickly and doesn’t leave floating specks of bitterness. It dissolves immediately without even stirring. Once stirred it’s completely smooth and creates slight froth. I find the flavour of this coffee to be strong but creamy, without any bitterness which is unheard of in instant coffees. I was very positively surprised how tasty it is. The size of the pack and the price are fair and I will most certainly repurchase this product and will recommend to family and friends.

Just another instant coffee...

Me and my partner both tried the Moccona Barista Reserve Instant Blonde Roast. After pouring, it looked fantastic and creamy with a good amount of creamer that smelt amazing. This was promising, however from the very first sip it tasted just like any other brands of instant coffee. It didn't provide anything further than what I would normally have at work. It did however come pre-ground and would be good for camping as it is an instant coffee and in comes in a compact container for travelling. Wouldn't crack it out for guests though....

Ooh She Smooth!

If this blonde was a hair type, she'd be smooth and creamy. I was really impressed with the quality of this instant coffee. The super fine granules dissolve immediately and develop the nicest crema. I tried this coffee in a variety of ways and was pleased with every which way! Whilst the instructions recommend just adding water, I often added a dash of almond milk to create a bit of a softer flavour. I also added milo one night for a weird fancy hybrid mocha and it was great! In lockdown times, I'm legit only leaving the house for essential reasons and a stroll to the coffee shop isn't always a necessity so this has been a welcome relief! Would recommend to anyone!

Smooth, Balanced and Convenient

The Moccona Barista Reserve Blonde Roast is a premium instant coffee that comes in a 95g tin. The tin is of a very handy size, making it easy to keep at home, take to the office or take with you while travelling. Once you open the lid and seal, there is a nice coffee aroma. It comes as finely grounded powder, and not the typical granules you would find in other instant coffee, meaning that it dissolves quickly and with minimal effort. This is what you call instant, and very convenient. The instructions say 1 tablespoon to 180ml of water, making the consistency quite watery. It was quite smooth, and did not taste bitter or too strong. I personally prefer to add milk and a bit of sugar or honey. I would recommend this for those who enjoy coffee and would like something quick and convenient. The tin itself is nicely presented, and comes in a convenient size. However, I feel it is a little pricey for the volume.

Not my favourite, but it is still a good coffee

First of all, I love how convenient this instant coffee is, it does not require any stirring at all if I am drinking just coffee only, just pour in hot water and it is ready. I also love the crema layer flowing on top as soon as I poured the hot water in, which gives me the feeling of getting a store-bought coffee. In terms of the taste, as a person who likes drinking dark and bold coffee without sugar, I find it pretty light and bland even though I made the coffee following the recommended amount from the instruction. However, I think this coffee would be a good option for those who enjoy drinking light coffee or mixing coffee with anything of milk. Therefore, I am still recommending this coffee.

Great instant coffee

I am an espresso drinker and a great lover of coffee so I was excited to get to try something new. Instant coffee is not something I usually drink but I found myself reaching for my Moccona Barista Reserve mid-afternoon as a little pick-me-up that wasn’t so caffeinated I’d be saying hello to 2am. The taste is lovely, smooth and creamy without the over processed taste of regular instant coffees. The Instant Blonde Roast smells absolutely devine, it smells just like freshly roasted coffee. A great instant coffee for coffee lovers.

Smooth cuppa

I was really excited to try this new instant Blonde Roast from Moccona. I usually have cafe coffee in the morning but for afternoon I need a light cuppa and I feel like this roast is perfect when you need a light dose of Caffeine to get you through to the afternoon haze. I liked the size of the container which was easy to carry. I did find it a bit creamy and smooth which was really nice. Only reason I am giving it 4 stars is because of the fragrance, I find the coffee aroma is not very strong which I really like in my coffee. Overall, I really liked the taste of this instant coffee and would definitely choose it for the afternoon light caffeine dose.

Not bad, but a bit weak for my liking

I usually make my coffee with an espresso machine but I always have a jar of Moccona’s classic Medium Roast on standby just in case. I’ve found their Dark Roast a bit intense so I was keen to try their new Blonde Roast, for a lighter alternative. The packaging is really great, super convenient and the coffee smells lovely after opening the tin. I added one teaspoon to my mug of hot water, however I found it to be a bit weak for my liking, so I ended up doubling the amount of coffee in the cup. The coffee tasted alright, but it wasn’t as flavoursome as the Moccona taste I’ve grown to know and love. I enjoy a slightly more intense flavour, but if anyone enjoys a lighter taste, they can consider giving this a go. It’s decent and does the job and I would be happy to continue drinking it, but it’s probably not for me in the long run.

Best instant coffee I've ever had

I love coffee and have 3 a day. I have tried all types of coffee making at home - french press, aeropress, mocca, nespresso, nescafe, and so on. This one is right there on top with aeropress. It tastes good, is foamy, super quick to prepare and makes 0 mess and waste! I don't even have to make sure I mix it well like other instant coffees, it's so fine that it dissolves instantly and doesn't stick to the bottom. When I feel like having a strong coffee, I mix in two teaspoons instead of one and it does the trick. I'm really impressed with this coffee and can't believe I didn't know instant coffee could taste well!

Smooth and creamy

A delightful blend of coffee with an instant creamy taste. I just love how the granules dissolve so quickly and the smooth, rich, creamy taste. Usually this is not my go to coffee brand but will definately be now! This is a good quality blend and I was instantly drawn in by the wording on the package and the package itself. I use almond milk in my coffee and i must say it blended in nicely, it was just how I like my coffee not too strong just nice and smooth. I would highly recommend Moccona Barista Blend coffee to any coffee lover!

Ok instant coffee

At home, I use my Nespresso machine, but I'm always on the lookout for an instant coffee for my desk in the office. I was keen to try this Moccona Blonde Roast. I liked the packaging and thought it sealed well. I initially tried it as recommended, with one teaspoon and hot water, but I found it too watery so I immediately added milk. I would describe it as a mild instant coffee. I liked it more than most instant coffees, and think you'll like it if you like instant coffee, but I personally don't enjoy it as much as my Nespresso alternatives.

Actually the best instant coffee!

Being a mum of two juggling all things at home (now homeschooling due to lockdown) I’ve found myself having barely any time and energy to use the coffee machine, yet desperately needing caffeine… in comes the Moccona Barista Reserve Instant Blonde Roast! My morning saviour. I love the convenience of instant coffees however have never been too happy with any that I’ve tried until now; in absolute honesty, this knocks all the other instant coffees out of the park! It is very finely ground, which is already a huge difference to the typical grainy texture of instants, and most importantly the taste: it’s perfectly smooth, creamy and the right amount of strength for me with no dirty, bitter after taste! I can 100% confirm this is now a staple in our household. I highly recommend!

Smooth

I’ve always used Moccona as my go-to instant coffee, and I hadn't heard of a Blonde Roast or their ground coffee so I was very keen to try this. Loved that the ground coffee was super grounded and not in granules - honestly such a game changer for instant coffee. I just had it straight black (no milk) and it tasted good and SMOOTH. I hate it when I have instant coffee and sometimes the granules are floating about or stuck to the side of the mug. I’ve recently had a bub so it’s not always easy to run out and get a coffee so this is a fab product that I’d be happy to drink daily.

Smooth, soft flavour with "crema"

For an instant coffee...this one is drinkable! One star down for the cost. Powder dissolves instantly, just pouring boiling water over it. No need for stirring! Have tried to make mocca, frappe, "cappuccino" style etc. Makes really great froth (I used soy Mylk made from organic 17% whole soybeans, full cream, sweetened). I'm surprised, as have never liked flavour of instant coffees. It is spray dried instant coffee that comes in a powder form (not freeze dried that comes in granules and is apparently more expensive to make and "better quality"). Instant coffees are known to be af a inferior quality as it is processed more than just whole bean just roasted, then you grind it fresh and have superb coffee (apparently arabica best, robusta used to bulk up the cheaper blends and instant coffees. Also in expresso blends robusta tends to be added for extra "crema" and punch. Robusta is usually higher in caffeine). Comparison: I bought organic granulated freeze dried instant coffee to compare with this Moccona Blonde. As I only have fresh grind from whole coffee bean blends, not extra processed coffees...needed something for comparison. As instant coffee is nothing like regular. Claim that freeze dried is of superior quality in the world of instant coffees...in this case...not really true in my opinion. The organic freeze dried 100% arabica (note, 2 pluses here) is: bitter, if made with boiling water then adding soy mylk , it curdles. Also no crema. I used same amount of Moccona , boiling water, immediately same amount of same soy mylk. No curdling. Less bitter (ok, not bitter at all), smooth and a bit chocolaty in taste (must be because robusta is in there), nice "crema". I mean for instant coffee there is "crema"! And just this I find puzzling. And no harsh acid bitterness or jittery side-effect (this was main reason I avoided instant coffees in past, that bitter acid taste in mouth and jittery feel). Overall, quite surprised. It is smooth and "soft" coffee. Found that I can have two of these for one of my usual made of ground coffee. Without having bad side effects (of bad sleep, jittery body, heart racing, excessive sweating etc) Also interesting claim: instant coffees are of inferior quality. Therefore cheaper overall. haha...nope! This 95g "cheaper" version of instant coffee blend that is spray dried is 10 bucks! Did you ever pay for kilo of good quality coffee beans over 100 dollars? I didn't. Just sayin'. And this one is.....more expensive than organic freeze dried arabica sourced (triple plus here for "better" instant coffee version). One I got is 10 bucks for 100g (full priced). There. Packaging: very light metal tin (strongly magnetic, so must have iron in it, not Aluminium made). Pricing: Moccona should calm down and reduce cost. Or is it because of metal tins that price is this high? I mean comparing to other coffees on the market that are more expensive to grow, harvest and method of making (as the one I got for comparison, from hand picked organic arabica beans, small company). Plus it is huge company, with huge sale revenue. Not some tiny organic shop thingy.
