At first, I was using this product with really cheap cotton pads and was so dissatisfied that I almost threw the eye make up remover in the bin. I was left with panda eyes after every use and had to use additional cleanser to clean my eyes.
Then I bought proper cotton pads and was blown away by good eye make up remover it is! After applying it on the cotton pad, I left it on my eye for few seconds and then wiped the make up away.
There was no oily residue and it left my eye area clean and fresh.
Packaging is made out of plastic and is see through, making it really easy to see how much product is still left.
There is no scent and the consistency is gel like, so it is really easy to apply on cotton pad.
I use this product each night when removing my make up using a cotton pad. This bottle is not great when disbursing the product as it squirts out, you need a lot of product. Once I wipe my face with this product I find that it hasn't removed everything and I need to use it a second time. There are much better make up removers out there!
The nivea micellar gel comes in a clear plastic bottle with a screw-on lid. The gel is clear with bubbles which I don't know what its for. I take a bit of the gel on a cotton pad and place it on my closed eyes for 30 seconds to help break up and dissolve the makeup. I then swipe away the makeup with the cotton pad.
I find this helps to break up makeup but not as well as other competitor brands. I think perhaps this is suitable for people who don't wear too much makeup.
I was excited to try out this product but felt a little let down by it :( When applying the gel I liked the cool feeling but it didn’t do a very good job removing my eye makeup. It left mascara residue under my eyes and I had to use another product to get rid of it.
I am a huge Micellar Water fan and was so excited to try this product! It took my make up off so easily and I didn't have to use as much as I normally would with a liquid. I have very sensitive skin and it didn't feel like I was putting harsh chemicals on my eyes. Would definitely recommend!
I really enjoyed this product, the texture was a bit strange at first but it takes off my eye makeup very easily without pulling at the skin. It didn’t leave any residue as it claims to and my skin felt quite hydrated. Will definitely buy this in the future.
I would have to say the product is satisfactory, as it had cons equally to its pros. I love the idea of an all in one product that removes eyemakeup without leaving behind a trail of oil that you then need a soap based product to remove anyway, however personally I did not find this product was residue free, but left my skin and especially my eyes feeling tacky and with a film of eye makeup and lip makeup. Sadly I did not feel refreshed and my skin around my eyes became rather irritated in just under a week, which is unusual as I do not normally have sensitive skin.
However, the product was great at removing foundations (of which I have a 3 brand roatation of differing finishes and bases), this product was very effective at removing all foundation and concealers.. BUT, I most certainly followed this with a proper wash of my face to remove the residual product.
The packaging is easy to use, a tad heavy on the amount dispensed however this perhaps was due to the number of applications I required to remove most of my makeup. Ultimately, the product has become part of my pre-gym beauty bag for on-the-go makeup removal, but would I buy the product.. I don't think so
The Nivea MicellAIR Skin Breathe Oil Free Gel Eye Make-up Remover is now officially one of my go to makeup removers for eye makeup.
It delivers exactly what it promises and in a reasonable compact travel size plastic bottle with a screw on cap lid for extra security. The packaging is classy, simple and minimalist.
This is an extremely affordable product and if purchased at a discount worth stocking up on even more.
My advice would be to follow the instructions printed on the bottle, however use a large pea sized amount at a time not grape sized as it is easier to control product application when the smaller amount is used.
The eye makeup remover is colourless and non-staining if accidental spills occur and almost completely unscented.
I have found it easy to use with both application and removal being painless. There is no need to use a heavy hand when trying to remove eye makeup with this product, simply place product on cotton facial pad then hold on area containing makeup for a few seconds and swipe in downwards motion to remove the makeup. A simple and effective product if you are in a hurry to remove stubborn makeup or need to completely redo your eye makeup.
It has not irritated my eyes which is a huge plus and is dermatologically approved which has given me a further sense of security when using this makeup remover.
As a product it is capable of effortlessly removing stubborn eye makeup (waterproof makeup hassles gone) and also works very well at removing stubborn lip makeup, even the liquid lipsticks which can often be a challenge to remove.
This is one product that I can definitely recommend ;).
I did not enjoy this product, it left my skin feeling dry, irritated and red when I have never had a reaction like that to other Micellar products. it was difficult to work into my cotton pad and did not remove my eyeliner and mascara the way that I would have liked, I really had to scrub at my eyes. will probably not buy this product again.

We’re sorry to hear about your experience with our product. We’d like you to know that sensitivities such dryness and irritation can generally occur due to ingredients like UV filters, perfumes or preservatives so If you haven’t already, please discontinue using the product. For more difficult to remove make-up, we recommend holding the cotton pad down on closed eyes for a few seconds to help break down the product better. We thank you for taking the time to share your feedback and really appreciate your valuable comments.
It claims it cleanses deeply about 0% residue, so I did try it with full face make up twice to my surprise it did work. My skin felt soft and breathable. I have combination skin and lucky for me there was no reaction. But note you do need 3-4 cotton pads and lots of product which will not last you long enough. I was happy with the results as it left my skin feeling fresh and clean.
Pros: It did a pretty good job at removing eye makeup, the smell was pretty nice
Cons: texture was a bit weird, kinda went everywhere
Over all I would recommend this product for people who do not wear heavy or waterproof eye make up. It did not remove my waterproof mascara completely,
I'm a daily user of micellar water. I've been using this product for a few weeks and really haven't enjoyed using it. The texture doesn't agree with me and the product left the skin around my eyes feeling very dry. i wouldn't repurchase the product.
I found the micellar gel really easy to use and that it didn’t dry my skin out at all . It removed all of my makeup including my waterproof mascara and eyeliner .At First I was worried that it would be hard to use but I found that it was less messy than using micellar water . I’d defiantly recommend it
I really enjoyed using this product. It removed all my eye makeup easily without irritating my sensitive skin. I have to admit the first time I used it, it felt like it was going into my eyes and a bit uncomfortable. The next time using it, I worked out that if you spread it out a little better on the cotton pad and wipe downwards only (not left and right), it works really well. Another positive is that you do not need to rinse it off (unlike some others) and there was no sticky residue left or unpleasant smell after using.
I really enjoyed using this product. It was super gentle on my skin and eyes, and removed my eye makeup well without irritating them. The gel texture of the product was interesting, and I preferred it to normal liquid micellar water products on the market. I will definitely be repurchasing this product and have recommended many of my friends to try it.
I really loved the texture of the product, no wastage! You can get the exact amount you need as its gel like consistency its much more controlled I find with normal liquid Micellar products I just waste so much!! It manages to get my pretty stubborn mascara off which is great!
As per the instructions, I do have to rub a little, I tend to use a clean towel washer over a small makeup pad and it has helped more. I has a slightly pleasant smell nothing too overpowering.
The bottle however has a terrible top/lid. A flip top cap would be more user friendly, I find myself just leaving the lid off - not sure if that's just my pure laziness! I would probably purchase this again as i loved the gel formula.
I had never used a micellar water before but was so impressed by this product! I followed the instructions as directed and had amazing results! I used this with my normal eye make-up (shadow, liquid liner and normal mascara) but then also used it with a new tubing mascara I bought and found it worked just as well across the range of products. There was no residue and no strong smell, just an easy and enjoyable (I love the little bubbles!) experience. Will definitely add this to my regular routine.
I've used many micellar waters in the past and have always been a fan of their magic, however i did always find that with waterproof eye make up or long lasting lipstick i had to do A LOT of scrubbing. Not with Nivea MicellAir! I love that it doesn't leave a residue on my skin, doesn't have a weird smell like some others (I'm looking at your Garnier!!) and requires zero scrubbing!
Unfortnately i do not rate this product! The texture and constitency wasn't the best, although it did remove makeup it also left my skin feeling dry.
I use the Garnier Micellar religously, so you could say I had high expectations!
I would not recommend this product to my family and friends.
It definitely does its job in removing makeup and leaving no residue.
If you are going camping or maybe even to a music festival this would be a great product to pack. For a one off use you can get away with not washing your face afterwards.
The thicker texture means you use less, I find with Micellar water I always end up with a soaking wet pad.
I wouldn't use it as an everyday skin routine product, but for just removing heavy makeup, it does a great job.
