NYX Professional Makeup Plump Right Back Plumping Serum + Primer

The NYX Plumping Serum + Primer is an outstanding product! It is lightweight and very easy to apply. The gel-like formula of this primer is what I love most about it. It glides over the skin and is absorbed fairly quickly to create a nice smooth, non sticky base for applying makeup. This product is eye catching with its neon yellow bottle, and I absolutely love the design of the bottle. I found it to be very hydrating and I loved the way it felt when applied to the skin. I highly recommend this product and have been recommending it to many people!

I honestly thought this primer would feel a bit more grippy and have less of a liquid texture but it almost feels like more of a hyaluronic serum than a primer to me - which is not a bad thing at all! You don't need to much so the product will last and is priced at a great price point too. You need to either massage the full product in or wait for it to dry a bit before going on with the rest of your routine so it's not the quickest of products to apply. Having said that it is definitely something I have been reaching for again and again!

NYX Professional Makeup Plump Right Back Plumping Serum + Primer is a great drug store buy the product for the price and the way it works on the skin. The NYX Plumping Serum is a really nice primer, leaves the skin feeling super moisturised and hydrated. The only negative I have is the smell/fragrance of the serum I'm not a massive fan, as i feel like it smelt a bit to chemical for me. however this is just my personal taste. Overall it was a really nice serum/primer and if you are looking for a reasonable price product this is the one!!

I really like that it had no scent and the pump bottle gives the right amount of product per pump. I didn't notice much in the way of plumping but it was very hydrating and as a plain primer I really liked it. I recommend this to anyone looking for a primer that is more hydrating and moisturising that a cream.

I haven't used NYX products before but overall I enjoyed this product. A little goes a long way with this primer.I did find that I needed to work this into my skin as it seemed very shiny and almost sticky initially. However once worked into the skin it felt very soft, smooth and fresh. I loved the way this felt on my skin & it's matte appearance. It also doesn't have an overpowering scent at all which is great if you are sensitive to perfumes at all. I would definitely recommend this product to others.

The NYX Plump Right Back plumping serum and primer comes in a frosted translucent bottle with a strikingly beautiful neon yellow lid and base. After cleansing my skin I apply a pump of the primer to my fingertips and then gently massage it into my skin. The primer is translucent and I didn’t notice any scent. Once applied the primer absorbs quite quickly and really well into my skin leaving instantly hydrated. I have tried the primer with and without make up as recommended and liked it both ways. Without make up my skin felt and looked lovely and hydrated and underneath my makeup I found it helped keep my foundation looking more dewy and hydrated and stayed in place instead of part of it becoming dry and separating which sometimes happens with my combination skin on the dry areas. For a budget brand this really works and I love that you can use it in multiple ways. I would highly recommend this plumping serum + primer.

I was sent the Nyx Plump Right Back in the Beauty Crew April VIP Box. It comes in a clear plastic 30ml bottle with a yellow pump dispenser and the product itself is a clear, thick, pleasant smelling liquid. I'm a bit confused by this product and there is no advice on the bottle when it's best applied. I suppose if you are using it as a serum, then the best time to apply would be before moisturiser but if you are using as a primer it would be best after moisturiser but before foundation. It's a shame that Nyx has chosen not to put guidelines on their bottle for those of us that are a bit flummoxed by hybrid products. Anyway, I have normal to oily skin and have used this product as a primer under liquid foundation and mineral powder foundation and have applied to half my face each time to test it out. Unfortunately, I don't believe that the primer has made my makeup last longer. I can only see the teeniest, tiniest improvement in pore visibility compared to the side of my face that had no primer. It does feel nice on, although I'm sure I feel a slight tingle after application. Perhaps this is the plumping part of the primer similar to how a lip plumper works by using an "irritating" agent. I'm guessing the guilty ingredient is Limonene which can be found in many plants, e.g. rosemary, eucalyptus, lavender, lemongrass, peppermint. It played well with my other products, no pilling etc but the results are not worth extra time or money in my makeup routine. I will admit that I'm not a big believer in primer and have yet to find one that really lives up to its claims. I will probably continue to use this as part of my skincare routine but I don't plan on purchasing.

This is a 'serum-primer' that promises longer make-up wear, hydration and 'plumping'. It comes in a bright yellow pump bottle. Most of my primers contain silicones but this one doesn't. It has glycerin which is one of my favourite humectants. The contents are a clear light gel that spreads well and dries without any sticky feel. There is no obvious scent. It is instantly hydrating, and is great for any dry patches and allows for smoother application of foundation. The extra hydration adds a nice subtle glow. I have combination skin and this doesn't add any shine or oiliness at all. One thing I will say is that it doesn't blur my pores as well as a silicone primer does. While it does feel nice and hydrating on my skin, from testing it out for a day with one half of my face applied with this primer + foundation, and the other half with foundation only, I couldn't really see any visible difference between the two sides, both right after application and after 8 hours wear. It's possible that it's because of my skin type which is slightly oily t-zone, large pores and normal to dry u-zone.. I have a suspicion that this product will make a bigger difference for those with dehydrated or dry skin, and I would still recommend it for those skin types.

I’m a big fan of NyX products so I was very excited to try this. The NYX Professional Makeup Plump Right Back Plumping Serum + Primer comes in a gorgeous yellow bottle and with the pump it’s easy to only get the amount you need. Gives my skin a very hydrated appearance with no stickiness or oiliness. My foundation easily goes on top of the primer and gives me a flawless finish. I wore this with my foundation for over 8 hours and everything looked great at the end of the day. Love it. Will continue to use this NYX Professional Makeup Plump Right Back Plumping Serum + Primer

I really enjoyed using this Nyx Plump Right Back primer. Its packaging is nice and bright in a yellow bottle with a pump which I love as it's easy to dispense. I use just one pump and that's enough to cover my entire face for foundation. The primer applies nice and silky onto the skin, and I find after I go to gym and workout, my foundation still looks good. The only reason I took off 1 star is because I don't notice any plumping effect, though if you don't need your skin to look plumped then this primer is fabulous. I'd buy this primer again once I finish this bottle.

I was lucky enough to trial this serum for beauty crew and I absolutely loved it. I can’t believe this is a budget friendly serum because it delivers such great results. It has a really pleasant scent and doesn’t irritate sensitive skin at all. The texture of the serum is so silky and it glides on skin so easily. The serum feels amazing on my skin, no heaviness or stickiness, it feels quite light and matte and makes a fabulous primer base for makeup. My skin feels so hydrated when you use this and instantly feels and looks plumper and firmer, I can honestly feel the difference. It’s such a great price and I only need two pumps of serum to cover my whole face so the bottle will last quite a long time. I adore this product and will be buying it again
