I am actually very pleased with this Olay toner, and although it's not quite 5 stars for me because I find the fragrance slightly irritating for my skin, it's still a great buy. The product comes in a reasonable sized plastic bottle and it's clear with no added colours or dyes so that's a bonus too. I have combination skin and my T zone can get oily and congested. Luckily this toner does exfoliate and smooth my skin very gently and I do feel my pores look less obvious and large. I apply a small amount to a cotton ball and mainly sweep this across my T zone, and my skin instantly feels refreshed, clean and soft. It's non-drying and hydrating so even if you don't usually like toners this one adds a bit of moisture and refines the skin without being too harsh. What I like most about this product is that it helps my serum and moisturiser sink in and absorb better and quicker. This is something I will continue to buy and it's always great to find an effective product that actually works well and is super affordable too! I would recommend this toner for combination - normal skin types.
Product: OLAY Total Effects Pore Minimising Toner I have always been a big fan of Olay skincare as I think they are reasonably affordable and yet deliver pretty good results. I am generally one of those people who rarely uses a toner on a daily basis, but as I have large, visible pores I decided to try this pore minimising toner. In comes is a decent sized clear plastic bottle with a screw lid. When I first looked at the ingredients list, I was a bit unsure it would suit my skin as there is a fair bit of alcohol listed in the ingredients list and my skin can react to alcohol in skincare. There are also some hydrating ingredients such as vitamins, aloe and cucumber added too, which is a benefit as my cheeks are somewhat dry. I have used this toner for almost 6 months and try to use it twice a day after cleansing. I just apply enough to saturate a cotton pad and sweep this across my face, focusing on my T zone. It has a strong, but pleasant scent and my skin does tingle slightly for a while but nothing major. This toner does a good job removing any residue, grease and leaves my skin feeling fresh, clean and dewy. I have tried some toners in the past designed to refine pores and I think this one is just as good, if not better than some expensive department store brands. However I wouldn’t say my pores are actually smaller, but as this toner does seem to exfoliate slightly I think my skin looks smoother and so my pores do look less obvious. I also use less serum and moisturiser after I use this product, and I find these products absorb better too. I will continue to repurchase this toner, as I really like how it leaves my skin more hydrated and is non drying. It costs less than $20 a bottle and you don’t need to use much each time. It contains some lovely hydrating ingredients, so even though it contains alcohol I don’t find it dries out my skin.  Best for: I think this toner would be great for anyone who has combination to normal skin. I’d say I have combination skin and think the formula is really ideal for me, as it’s not too harsh but gives me gentle exfoliation and hydration.  Overall rating: 4/5, I don’t give it a full 5 stars mainly because it contains some alcohol and a strong fragrance.  Repurchase: Yes, as it works well and is inexpensive.
I do like this toner as a mild way to hydate my skin and balance it, but I couldn't see any effect at all on my pores. It has a surprisingly nice texture, not sticky or greasy like some toners, and it is a very good price for the amount you get.
My skin tends to be very sensitive and will react almost instantly if it doesn't like a product.  I've always been quite wary of toners as many of them are very harsh and tend to strip the skin of all its natural oils.  They leave my skin feeling tight, dry and often quite sore.  I decided to take a leap of faith with this Olay toner.  I was at first very impressed that the bottle is clear plastic and not glass.  That makes it perfect for travel, and I love that I can see at a glance how much product I have left.  With a generous 150 ml, a single bottle lasts me a few months, which makes it an excellent value. The toner has a very mild and light scent, which I hardly notice.  I found that after using it my skin didn't feel stripped or tight in any way, and instead felt hydrated.  The toner helps to remove old surface skin cells and helps to tighten and smooth the skin.  It also helps even out the skin tone and works on pore reduction. I have to say that for me this is the best toner I have found to use on my sensitive skin.  My skin loves it and I've had no reaction to it at all.
Toners are a skincare product that aren't really talked about often but they can make a really big difference for your skin.  There are so many different types of toners so you have to get one that works best for your skin type and for me I find that the Olay pore minimising toner is exactly what I need.  I have oily, acne prone skin with large pores around my cheeks that are practically impossible to get rid of.  The toner looks and feels just like water but with a light fragrance.  I would pour a bit of the toner on my cotton ball and wipe it on my face while avoiding the eyes.  I like to use my toner in the morning and at night after I've taken my makeup off.  The toner is great for several reasons. First, it's the final step in cleansing my face so it removes any makeup residue that my face wash may have missed.  Second, it balances out my skin, removing excess dirt and oil to keep my skin looking and feeling fresh.  Which is why I sometimes use it during the day if I'm not wearing any makeup because it helps mattify my skin.  Most people would use it for their T Zone but I use it everywhere on my face.  The good thing about the toner is that it won't dry out your skin.  I was worried that I would get that tight, uncomfortable feeling after using it but instead I found that my skin still felt hydrated.  For me the toner didn't work right away but gradually I could start to see a difference in the appearance of my skin.  The toner had evened out my skin and the pores on my cheeks and nose weren't as big as before.  Obviously you cannot completely get rid of pores but you can reduce their size and this toner helped with that a lot.  I would notice my pores even while wearing makeup but now they weren't as obvious.  Just a simple step in my skincare routine with this fabulous toner and it had a positive impact on my skin! Tip: I swipe a bit of the toner on my face before putting my makeup on.  It gets rid of the excess oil, keeps your skin matte and allows your makeup to last longer For: Those with combination/oily skin and suffer from large pores
This is a great product for reducing the appearance of pores to give skin a more glowing youthful appearance, so easy to use, I recommend using this after an olay cleanser and then an olay serum and moisturiser for even better results. this toner leaves my skin feeling super clean and healthy, removing old skin cells and hydrating my skin. This toner is non drying and effectively reduces the appearance of pores,  a gorgoeus toner at a great price that I highly recommend
I love that this Total Effects Toner does not make my skin sting or tingle. It just cleans the dirt out of it and makes it feel good! It is easy to apply and can be purchased at most good chemists. I use it as part of my beauty regime, the Total Effects cleanser then toner, then the spf 15+ bb cream. The toner and the whole range is really affordable and easy to apply. Any Tips?:  use sparingly Ideal For...:  all skin types (always read labels before using just in case your allergic to anything)
I am a big fan of Olay in general. It’s a well established brand, readily available anywhere you go. You can’t go wrong. I have large pores across my t-zone, so this is as an easy decision for me to give this one a try.  I like the scent, as I am partial to scented facial products. To me it smells elegant and I love the slight tingle I feel as I apply it.  I did need to use for over 3 weeks before I started to see a real difference, so persistence is key. Its not a product I can chop and change with, the price point is too high for a normal toner. However once I started to see the reduction in my pores I was happy to pay the extra money. I read some other reviews where people found it a bit much for their skin. I have oily skin and it worked for me, so it’s absolutely worth a try but perhaps get a sample if you can or be prepared that it might not be for you.  This is one I use every weekday and will always like to have a spare ready to go.
