QV Baby Barrier Cream

Even though this is a barrier cream marketed for infants, I was really excited to give this a go as I have very dry skin (especially on my hands and body). Reading that this product had zinc oxide in it also made me excited as I knew it was going to be extremely soothing. Unfortunately, this produce completely missed the mark for me. I usually love QV products as they are gentle and contain no fragrance (this product is no exception), however it is so so thick and pasty. I understand that the thick, white pasty texture comes from the Zinc Oxide, but it is just too much. The Avene Cicalfate is a great example of Zinc Oxide done right. While this product really would have soothed the skin, it just didn't absorb as nicely as I would have liked it too. It has great packaging and I love that it is fragrance free, but just not something that I enjoy.

I have tried many different baby barries nappy creams for my babies over the years and found this one amazing and definately my "Go to Brand" for all my kids.. It is a decent price, stops nappy rash, washes out of fabric without stains and most importantly, sticks to skin – even when it's wet! QV Baby Barrier Cream is free from colour, fragrance and other common irritants. The QV Baby range is suitable for use with very dry, eczema-prone baby skin. I found the cream to respond very well to both of my children’s skin issues. I would highly recommend this barrier cream to everyone with babies or toddlers needing a great barrier cream.

Hydrating and protecting! Firstly I love the packaging of this product, I found it great! Great size, not too small but not too large or bulky! The packaging was very cute too! The consistency of the product was great and good packaging for a potentially messy product! I used this on my dry skin and areas of chaffing and found it was so beneficial particularly where my my skin in winter is more at risk of breaking down! I will continue to use this for myself and as a baby sitter, will be recommending this to the families I baby sit!

I received this from beauty crew to trial. I don't have a baby, but I gave this to my best friend to try. She has an 11 year month old and a 5 year old. She actually said she has been using the QV barrier for her youngest and it's the only one she uses. Especially being winter and everyone's skin being dried out even more this barrier cream has been a lifesaver to this mumma. I have found this cream to be versatile beyond its primary purpose. I don't have a baby but received this to try out. In the winter and colder months, I get very dry skin on my face and legs to the point where regardless of what I use, it gets sore to where it feels like I have rubbed my skin raw with a physical exfoliant. I applied this barrier cream by itself at night and after a few days, the raw feeling went away and my skin started to feel hydrated and more normal than dry again. It does leave a white cast because of how thick it is but if you are using it at night or on a baby, it really doesn't matter. Such a great multi use product!

The QV brand has been a trusted family favourite in our household for over 10 years. This QV barrier cream in particular comes in a generous size squeeze bottle which is very convenient. The cream provides instant soothing cool relief for my daughter when she gets chaffing and redness. It also provides a great barrier that lasts on her skin. I have used other QV products (such as QV bath oil and QV body lotion) for my son who has sensitive skin and eczema for relief and comfort. As a family we will continue to buy QV products.

I've been using the QV baby Barrier Cream for my little one, even prior to receiving a sample to trial with Beauty Crew. The QV baby range is one that I love and trust and it is effective and works so well for treating nappy rash and also preventing it. The cream applies thickly and comes in a convenient and hygienic tube packaging and I have one in my baby bag too for on the go. I would highly recommend it, I've also used it to help soothe irritated skin and it works well for that too. One of my favourites compared to other brands.

Having just had my first baby and going through a crisp winter, I’m loving QV products for his dry skin! This barrier cream is great for his nappy rash (and preventing it), I lather a good thick amount on at each change and it usually stays on until the next one, but I also put it on his cheeks and lips when we are heading out into the cold or the wind and find it really protects them from getting chaffed. Nice and thick and creamy as a good barrier cream should be, stays on between changes etc. Always feel confident in this brand and this product is no exception. Affordable at around $10 and easy to find in chemists or Priceline.

I’ve tried many barrier creams for both of my toddlers when they were babies even as bigger a toddler’s but the Qv Barrier Cream I still use it now when they get a rash. They both have pretty good skin that doesn’t tend to flare up but when they did have a happy rash or a rash on their cheek I would often apply thickly at night after their baths then would not be washed off until the morning allowing the barrier cream to work. I found the cream to respond very well to both of my children’s skin as quickly too. I would highly recommend this barrier cream to everyone with babies or toddlers needing a great barrier cream.

My toddler has sensitive skin and he tends to get rashes on his face and this cream relieves that itchy associated with the rash. I also love using it during nappy changes (a separate tube of course) to protect his sensitive delicate skin from nappy rash. It creates a barrier on the skin and now he rarely gets a red nappy rash or hot rash from being in a nappy. It isn't sticky or oily and absorbs quite quickly. The cream is also ph balances and moisturises the skin at the same time. It comes in a 125g tube in a box and cost around $11 depending on where you purchase it from. I just buy mine when I'm at the chemist.
