A beautiful shampoo

I have been using this Redken acidic color gloss shampoo along with the Redken acidic color gloss conditioner for over 2 weeks now and I have thoroughly loved it! Firstly, the packaging of the shampoo is beautiful and sleek so it looks great in my shower. The scent of this shampoo reminds me of being in a salon, and it after using it, it leaves my hair feeling light and fresh. I frequently colour my hair every 3-4 months and this shampoo suits my haircare needs in protecting my hair color to make it last longer and keeping it nice and shiny.

Overall, not bad!

I enjoyed trying this product however I did not notice any substantial difference in the shine or colour lasting. I generally use products that are used for hydrating rather than colour and shine so I was excited to try this. I loved the packaging and the size was great. I did really enjoy the scent and it left my hair smelling really nice for a few days. I did the find the shampoo to be a bit on the heavier side. I don’t have fine hair so even for me I did notice the difference and it did get a little greasy in a few days where I typically wouldn’t. I did find my hair to be shiny but that is not a priority for me. In relation to the colour saving – I didn’t notice a difference. I do have brown hair so it may be a different situation with a blonde. Not a bad product over all.

Heavy, no extra shine and just missed the mark

Using all three products (shampoo, conditioner and heat protectant), I really expected more. I do have quite dull looking frizzy hair and I’m yet to find a product that solves that. My hair was not more glossy and was not less frizzy. In fact, the shampoo feels a little more on the heavy side so left me feeling greasy and more weighed down than usual. Whilst this really did smell nice, there’s unfortunately no noticeable standouts for this product range and I would not go out of my way to purchase.

Pretty Good!

My review is mixed. I have fine hair, and I have reported that it can leave my hair feeling greasy or weighed down. Additionally, I do enjoy the texture and smell of the product, enhancing my blonde highlights throughout my hair. Key Benefits: Maintains color vibrancy for up to 32 washes. Sulfate-free cleansing. Instantly revitalizes the look and feel of hair. In summary, Redken's Acidic Color Gloss Shampoo may be beneficial for those seeking to preserve hair color and enhance shine, especially for individuals with thicker or drier hair types. As with any hair care product, individual experiences may vary, and it's advisable to consider your specific hair type and needs when selecting a shampoo.

Good pick

Pros: This shampoo gently cleanses while maintaining the vibrancy of color-treated hair. Formulated with acidic pH technology, it protects hair from fading while leaving it soft and shiny. It lathers well and rinses out easily, without leaving a residue. Great for daily use, it’s ideal for anyone looking to preserve their color while keeping hair healthy. Cons: As a sulfate-free formula, it may not feel as deeply cleansing for those with heavy product buildup or oily scalps. The price is also higher than standard shampoos, which might make it less accessible for some users. Additionally, those with extremely dry hair may need a richer follow-up conditioner for added hydration.
