Rimmel London Lasting Finish 25 HR Powder

There are a couple of great things I find about this Rimmel matte powder.  One, is the colour which evenly contrasts the dark colours of my contour.  I use it on the bridge of my nose, over the arch of my brows, chin, forehead and cupids bow to brighten my skin while keeping the shiny areas of my face matte. I use it to set the concealer under my eyes to give it a nice smooth finish, preventing it from creasing. Two, it goes without saying that it sets my makeup very well creating a flawless, full coverage finish to my foundation.  I use it on its own for a quick, natural look on the days when I can't be fussed to wear too much makeup.  it's very lightweight, creating soft, buildable coverage without leaving my face looking cakey.  It has the perfect finish for a night out or for the days that I work, making it suitable on both ends of the spectrum.

One of my favourite drugstore powders. Provides great coverage without looking cakey. Minimises the size of pores and creates a flawless base! You can use it alone as a powder foundation of as a setting powder. The only down side is the lack of colour selection.

For the matte skin finish, this pressed powder is a winner. A setting face powder which doubles as a wet/dry powder foundation, Rimmel London Lasting Finish 25HR Dual Finish Powder works it magic on the skin for hours on end. I usually experience an oily t-zone which worsens by the end of the day, however this is not currently the case due to skin becoming much drier through pregnancy. While my makeup cannot usually last the day without a touch of pressed powder to set my foundation, I have had to use Lasting Finish 25HR Dual Finish Powder sparingly because skin is currently flaking and rather sensitive. This coloured powder adds a touch of colour to skin without making skin look 'cake-face'. The lightweight powder has a medium consistency which blends nicely but be sure to apply sparingly to ensure application appears natural and even. Lasting Finish 25HR Dual Finish Powder is packaged in a lovely slimline plastic compact with sponge applicator although I prefer to apply with a large face bush for best results - otherwise it could certainly look cakey. I can't say just how this product works as a wet/dry powder foundation because I used it as a pressed powder, however I am personally not a huge fan of wetting a powder foundation anyhow.
