Skinstitut Glycolic Scrub 14%

I bought this as I absolutely love Skinstitut’s 12% glycolic acid cleanser. Unfortunately this product was too strong for my skin. It comes in a thick paste with granules that I would use every few days on my skin. A little of this product goes a long way Unfortunately I found this product was too strong for my face as it made my skin flair up. I will instead only be using Skinstitut’ 12% glycolic cleanser instead. I found that instead I used this particular product on my body as it was far too strong to use on my face

This scrub kept my skin almost pimple-free during the time I used it. I have acne-prone skins which can at times be quite sensitive, however I was pleasantly surprised that this did not irritate my skin (it clearly states on the tube not to use on inflamed or sensitive skin). I incorporated this into my routine and would use every 2-3 days, which may be slightly more than recommended. It comes in a white paste with large exfoliating granules. There is no fragrance to the scrub and has a slightly medicinal feel to it in both packaging and the product itself. Overall, a great addition to my skincare regime and was effective in reducing my pimples.

I find that you have to be careful while using this product. It is a very strong formula and the beads in the product can make it very harsh on your skin if you scrub your face with this. I used to use this once a week however I found that it was a little too harsh on my skin and I found that I was getting oilier the few days after I used this product. I now do not use this product on my face but in certain areas depending on what my skin needs. If I have a break out, I will use this product to gently massage it in and rather than scrub it I just rub it on my skin and let it sit there for a few minutes. I find this works much better than using it as a scrub. I also use it on my arms and legs if my skin is dry. Always moisturise after using this product. It is a great product if you have the right type of skin for it.
