I give Skinstitut Moisture Defence – Ultra Dry 5 stars. For reference I have combination skin, oily t-zone but dry dehydrated cheeks. Since it's winter I usually go for richer creams. This moisturiser is a game-changer for my dry skin. Its rich, creamy formula deeply nourishes and hydrates, leaving my skin feeling soft and supple throughout the day. I feel like it effectively tackles dryness and dehydration without feeling greasy. I noticed a significant improvement in my skin's texture and moisture levels. Highly recommend it for intense hydration.

I have combination-oily skin and even though this moisturiser is targeted at those with Ultra Dry skin this worked perfectly on my skin. Possibly because it's winter and my skin is a bit dryer. I think it's the most perfect moisturiser I have ever used. It's a dream. The texture is something else. It's almost like a whipped texture but isn't heavily rich. I find that a small amount spreads a long way too. The scent of the moisturiser is just gorgeous and light but doesn't linger at all once absorbed. The cream itself absorbs into my skin really well and doesn't leave my skin feeling greasy or looking shiny and I don't feel any tackiness or residues left behind. I am a big fan of the packaging. Love the colours and that the tube has a flip top lid which makes it super convenient to use and mess free. I have used this moisturiser during the day time and also at night. I find it to be the most nourishing moisturiser I've ever used. My skin feels deeply moisturised and softer than ever. Also my frown line on my forehead plumps right up after application of this dream cream. I'm in love with it. Literally cannot get enough. I've been reaching for this and don't even want to glance at my other creams. It's so good!

Received this item from BeautyCrew to trial and review. For reference, I have sensitive/dry skin that often has rosacea and is acne prone (very complicated skin type). My skin has been dry instead of combination since trying out roaccutane. Although, there is a scent I didn’t find it as overpowering as other brands. Packaging and price point is good. I love a dual product so it being day and night is perfect. The product itself goes on nicely and my skin is nice and moist but not shiny. It’s a perfect addition to my winter skincare lineup. Overall, super happy with it and once I finish it will repurchase.

This is hands down the best moisturiser I have used this year and dare to say for at least the last few years and is a favourite now. White in colour, thicker in texture this cream spreads like a dream! The scent is very subtle and gentle on my nose. Using it is heavenly, I have combination skin I get some breakouts but also have some really dry areas. At night I use a pea sized amount and gently massage it into my skin, it absorbs perfectly leaving my skin instantly looking and feeling very well moisturised, smooth and plump without any greasiness . I have chosen to use this in the day on days I wear foundation as it is winter i often get separation on my face when using foundation but since using this moisturiser it has prevented that from happening. I will definitely be repurchasing this moisturiser and highly recommend it to family and friends.

My skin can become dry and tight every Winter with heating and all of the temperature changes, so I’m always on the lookout for moisturising products. The Skinstitut Moisture Defence Ultra Dry moisturiser comes in a convenient tube, which makes it easy to dispense the desired amount of product into my hands. It is easy to apply and absorbs quickly without any greasiness or stickiness. I did find that I needed to reapply a couple of times during the day, but it was easy enough to manage that after popping the Skinstitut Moisture Defence Ultra Dry tube into my handbag.

I was really pleased to be able to trial Skinstitut Moisture Defence Ultra Dry moisturiser at the start of winter when my skin needed extra hydration. The moisturiser is packaged in a white tube which holds 50ml of product. The moisturiser has a medium to thick consistency, spreads easily over my skin, and only a small amount is needed to cover my face and neck. When I first used the moisturiser it seemed to make my skin look dull, like the cream created a barrier over my skin. It wasn’t until I really massaged the moisturiser into my skin that the glow came through, and my skin looking well-nourished throughout the day. I’ve been using the Moisture Defence as my day-time moisturiser for over a month now. I think the moisturiser feels quite hydrating and nourishing, and it is keeping my skin plump and smooth during the colder, drier conditions.

This moisturiser comes in a 50ml squeeze tube with a minimalist design of purple text on a white background. It's targeted towards those with dry skin. For reference, my skin has been on the dry side since starting tretinoin, so this product trial came at just the right time. I wasn't expecting much since the ingredients in the formula seemed to contain some familiar humectants, occlusives and plant extracts. The only unusual ingredient was Trifluoroacetyl Tripeptide-2 - an ingredient that is touted to increase skin elasticity, firmness and reduce skin-sagging. However, studies show that 2% concentration is needed to be effective, and this formula lists the ingredient quite far down the list, so I doubt that there is very much in there. But the thing is - this moisturiser exceeded my expectations. It spreads like a dream, and leaves this very comforting feeling on dry skin. A little goes a long way since is spreads so beautifully. It feels nourishing without heaviness or greasiness, immediately stops any tight feeling and leaves skin softened and moisturised overnight. It has a pleasant light scent. It's one of the most beautiful textures in a moisturiser that I have encountered, a real pleasure to use. I did not see any improvement in terms of firmness/reduced sagging, but I still recommend this for its texture and outstanding performance as a moisturiser.

The Skinstitute moisture defence face cream is a good cream for those who have dry to really dry skin. It has ingredients like oat extract which helps to soothe the skin, as well as olive oil and green tea. It is a thick, rich cream and I don't need to use much of it. You can use this both day and night and it's sufficient to use on its own as it's incredibly hydrating. I personally believe that for my skin type it's too much as the cream is much too thick and feels a bit heavy on my skin. I also found that it took a long time for the cream to actually absorb into my skin. Instead I have used it on my body which is very dry, with some eczema flare ups, and I think it is better suited for that purpose. With that said, it is still a good face moisturiser but it would be a product that is more useful and suitable for those who suffer from very dry skin.

Love this product. I was lucky enough to trial the skinstitute moisture defence for the beauty crew trial team and I’m so glad I did, Thankyou beauty crew. This moisturiser is great for signs of ageing. Since using this my fine lines have diminished and my skin looks brighter, I look less tired, my skin also looks plumper and firmer and feels smooth and hydrated. It’s quite a thick consistency but I only use a pea sized amount morning and night and it spreads really well, better than expected for such a small amount so it’s great value for money as the tube will last for ages. It has hardly any scent at all so is good for sensitive skin and I love that my skin feels so hydrated and enriched after using this product. It delivers antioxidants to my skin and also has a calming soothing effect while nourishing skin. This is a new favourite for me. I would definitely buy this product again and would highly recommend it

This product is a holy grail! It is thick, but not clogging especially for my dry skin! It is the perfect winter months moisturiser and a small amount goes a LONG way, sinking into the skin perfectly. The only downside, like most moisturisers these days, is the fragrance, but this is my personal preference, where I prefer skincare products that have minimal smell. I also love that this can be used as both a day and night cream, who needs to spend money on two different products when one can do the same thing! Overall this is a definite repurchase for me and I can't wait to try more products from the range!
