Not for me
So I've tried alot of leave in conditioners, and some are great some not so much. This one from sukin was not for me, it made my hair feel unpleasant but I think that was because it wasn't for my hair type. Its for normal hair (the lucky ones) I have coloured hair, that's a little dry and damaged so this leave in didn't do me any good, I need something more hydrating and thick, like a tub conditioner, I did enjoy the scent though which was quite pleasant, herbal and calming.
But I would recommend it to normal haired people
Good product but wouldn't purchase for myself
I normally don't use leave-in conditioners as I have short, naturally very straight hair that usually doesn't tangled, so this was a first for me. I used the leave-in on damp hair straight after using the Natural Balance shampoo and conditioner, and my hair definitely felt a renewed level of hydrated for the rest of the day - plus it smells really lovely. I often get worried that conditioners and leave-ins will be quite heavy and weigh everything down but this one was really light and added body without weight. So whilst I don't think I'd purchase this product again, it's not because it wasn't great, it just wasn't really worth it for my hair type.
Sukin Naturals Balance Leave-In Conditioner
I used this leave-in conditioner after shampooing and condition with the Sukin range on my towel dried hair for over a week straight. This is a quite light leave in conditioner which is great as most have a tendency to weigh down the hair and leave it feeling greasy if you accidentally apply too much product. Another positive is that it has a really nice light scent and my hair did not feel heavy or oily after applying. Where I struggled to get the tangles out of my hair with the shampoo and conditioner in this range this helped remove them. As someone who often struggles with dry hair particularly on the ends this was not as hydrating of a product as I normally require and after drying i did not feel enough of a difference in my hair in terms of softness and hydration. However despite it not completely suiting my hair type I do feel like some people would benefit as the product is not overly heavy and will not be overwhelming on the hair.
Complements the line very nicely!
The Sukin Naturals Balance Leave-In Conditioner perfectly balances and complements the Sukin Naturals range very nicely. Having found the Shampoo in this range to be a little drying, this leave in conditioner pairs very well to hydrate the hair. It is light-weight, smells lovely and fresh and keeps my hair looking shiny and healthy.
Used as a first step after towel drying hair, hair is left feeling soft and nourished (and smelling great!). I suffer from a sensitive scalp and have found this product does not irritate my scalp at all!
An ok, light spray conditioner
This was my favourite product from the whole line. It delivers some moisture however you need to be careful when layering more product as it will weigh your hair down eventually. It has a pleasant scent and given its spray form it's really easy and quick to use. I found that I like using it the most during the day as a refresher, especially in humid weather when my hair gains a little bit of frizz. I don't think it's a product I would repurchase though as like I mentioned it really weighs the hair down. I appreciate the "natural" sentiment however this isn't something that is my personal priority, especially when the product underperforms.
Light leave in conditioner
I was surprised that this leave in conditioner was light weight. I was expecting a lot more to it. Perhaps I didnt use enough.
I put it on the ends of my dry hair and it had gone damp so im sure it was enough. It dried quickly and combed through nicely.
My hair tends to go oily quickly especially when using anything too hydrating. This product did not do that but I also didnt find it overly hydrating. I guess that's the point, use it if you need something a bit extra but not too much. I'm worried about over hydrating my hair but would like to put something in. I think this might be my go to product now.
The scent was really nice, the vanilla in it blended well with the other scents.
Nice and light for already healthy hair
This leave-in conditioner is good if your hair is healthy. For a natural alternative, it does its job in detangling and giving your hair some light moisturising. My hair is fine and I have LOTS of it so I'm always in need of some help detangling my hair after the shower. However, if your hair is really dry, this conditioner wouldn't really work as it's really light. For me, it was great because I hate feeling my hair being weighed down by product and my hair is not coloured or overly dry. So I'd definitely be buying this one after the first bottle!
Impressive product
Loved this product - I found that it did a better job at detangling and smoothing my hair than the wash-out conditioner did. My hair smelt delish and was really silky and knot free for days. A really nice product for some extra TLC for your hair. Only negative was that I found my hair got a bit greasier sooner than normal (I can usually push out my hair washing to every 4 days) and had to wash on morning of day 3.
The other observation was that it might be a bit too much to try and blowdry or style with the leave in conditioner in my hair - as my hair is super fine.
Great product for tangle or dry prone hair
The ingredients for this product are very impressive as it is typically challenging to the find a leave in conditioner free of chemicals. The scent was pleasant and it had a nice texture. I have oily prone hair so for me this product did not fit into my fix. The instructions say to use this in-between washes, however if you have oily hair you could definitely skip this within the product suite. If you have dry hair that is prone to tangles, I would highly recommend purchasing this product for the price and ingredients.
A nice natural feeling leave in conditioner
I have thin, damaged, colour treated hair. Quite often leave in conditioners leave my hair looking greasy or flat. I am happy to say the Sukin leave in conditioner does not! A little goes a long way with this and it makes brushing your hair out so much easier. The smell is nice and refreshing without being overpowering or super noticeable. I love that this product is paraben and sulphate free, perfect for my keratin treated hair. While using this I noticed my hair seemed to look less frizzy during the day and seemed to stay a bit more tame.
You get a decent amount in the container and it is worth repurchasing!
Not my favourite
Sukin Naturals Balance Leave-In Conditioner contains ingredients to help hydrate your hair, and has the most amazing scent! I do feel that this product is too heavy for my fine hair, which resulted in hair feeling weighed down and left it feeling slightly greasy even after heat styling with a blowdryer and straighnter. I do think this would be better for those with thicker dry hair. Along with this I found the spray nozzle to not dispense the product evenly with it depositing too much product at one time, I felt like the product ended up around my bathhroom and not on my hair.
decent leave in conditioner
I've never really needed to use a leave in conditioner, but after colouring my hair recently, I figured it was the perfect time to give this product a go. I love that it's a spray on conditioner, it makes it so convenient to use, and good for on the go. The product description says it can be used on wet or dry hair, but I would recommend making your hair slightly damp before using if you have oily/fine hair, as I found it heavier when used on dry hair. Overall, it's a decent leave in conditioner. It did make my hair feel soft and nourished, but I personally have seen better results from other products.
Spray mechanism not ideal
I loved the scent of this leave in conditioner but unfortunately I found the spray mechanism did not work very well with the viscosity of the spray. I found that the product spurted out in long spurts from the spray mechanism rather than creating a mist that distributed evenly through the hair. If you could be bothered to perhaps spray into your hand and then work through your hair with your hands or a comb it may be more ideal. I found the product gave my hair a nice shine and left my hair smelling lovely.
An extra boost!
The scent of this leave in condition is that signature Sukin scent that you become accustomed to if you've used their products before. Personally, I enjoy it and believe that it has a spa like quality to it. I wasn't too fussed on the spray nozzle used on this bottle as it was a more narrow spray than I've had with other products, which adds a bit of extra difficulty in applying it. On the hair, I found it to be quite heavy for my hair (I have fine hair, but a lot of it) and it definitely felt weighed down enough that I wouldn't pop it in my hair before going out except for maybe if my hair is tied back in some way. My preferred way to use it it to apply it the night before I wash my hair, to give it a bit of extra TLC the night before shampooing. I find it works better as a treatment in that way than applying it every day. I don't think that I would purchase this product again, but I will definitely finish using the bottle I have.
More of a detangler
To me, this seems more like a detangling spray than a leave in conditioner.
I do like that this product is in a spray bottle as opposed to being an oil, which I find messier and more time consuming to apply.
The product information for this product also highlights the sesame and baobab oils to enhance shine. However, I wouldn't say that I found that my hair was particularly shiny and lush after using this product. Given this, if I wanted more shine, I would probably go for an oil instead.
However, I would also note that my hair is coloured treated and is fairly thin and dry.I would definitely say this product applied better on my wet or damp hair as opposed to dry hair.
Natural AND No heaviness in hair!
Really love the use of natural ingredients in this product. My hair definitely enjoyed some time off all the nasties used in other products- especially since I’m a “non-natural” blonde who has mistreated my hair a fair bit already. The spray had a pleasant smell (without any “earthy” scent that sometimes comes with “natural” products).
I found the spray seemed to jet out of the nozzle rather than a “misting” effect which I would have preferred, but definitely noticed that my hair felt more moisturised and less frazzled without any heaviness that some
Leave in conditioners have.
Would recommend this as a great natural leave in.
Great for curly hair!
I received this leave in conditioner as part of the reviewcrew, I didnt use it on myself but I did use it on my childrens hair. We hair problems with hair getting tangled right after washing and this has really helped. We use it as part of our haircare routine and I brush it through with ease. It has left their hair feeling soft and moisturised as well as tangle free.
I also noticed that it helped my sons hair maintain its curl, which other products i have used made his hair fall straight so thats an added bonus to me.
Great first time using leave in conditioner
The only reason I didn't give this a 5 star review, is because I have never used a leave in conditioner before so have nothing to compare it to. I have quite thin and fine hair, that easily knots and tangles. I noticed using this product, my hair was not knotting or tangling as much as it usually does, which is a really positive thing for me. I also wasn't sure what to expect around whether or not I would need to wash my hair sooner or how it would affect my hairs oiliness. It did not make my hair any oilier or heavier than usual. My hair did feel softer and healthier, and the product smells nice. So all around I had a great experience with this product and will repurchase.
Didn't work for me
I really wanted to love this product. However, I felt as though it left my hair feeling sticky and full of residue. I tried numerous times on both damp and dry hair, and only putting a little amount in, but this did not agree with my dry hair at all. However, it did detangle my hair so was effective in regards to that. For me personally, it did not work well. I did try it in my nieces hair and that seemed to work better, but still had leftover residue. I will not be using it again unfortunately. It does have a pleasant smell and as a vegan friendly product, it may be worth a try to see if it works for you.
Light leave-in conditioner
I used this leave-in conditioner after shower on my towel dried hair for a week straight. This is a rather light leave in conditioner. Plus side is that it smells really nice and my hair did not feel heavy or oily after applying. I also managed to get out a few of the tangles from my hair which I couldn't get out using the shower conditioner. Down side is that it was too light and I did not find it hydrating enough as when my hair dried, it did not feel significantly lighter or softer. However whilst it did not suit my hair type, I imagine that people with fine hair would suit this as because it's so light, it will not weigh down their hair.
