Super affordable excellent cleanser!  How did I miss this....would never thought at my age (mid aged skin, still oily with biiig pores!) that I would use again foaming cleanser and purifying at that!...but....here we go... Cleanser is grey in colour from charcoal  dust in a clear base. There is no unnecessary colourants, fragrance or any other nasties added. No sulphates either.  Just gentle ingredients housed in a easy to use pump bottle:  Water (Aqua), Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Decyl Glucoside, PEG-150 Pentaerythrityl Tetrastearate, Glycerin, Charcoal Powder (Bamboo Charcoal), Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Flower Extract (Chamomile), Aspalathus Linearis Leaf Extract (Rooibos), Epilobium Angustifolium Extract (Willowherb), Vaccinium Myrtillus Fruit Extract (Bilberry), Punica Granatum Fruit Extract (Pomegranate), Cucumis Sativus (Cucumber) Fruit Extract, Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Fruit Extract, Moringa Oleifera Leaf Extract, Citrus Nobilis (Mandarin Orange) Peel Oil, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Oil, Citrus Aurantifolia (Lime) Oil, Citrus Aurantium Amara (Bitter Orange) Leaf/Twig Oil (Petitgrain), Backhousia Citriodora Leaf Oil (Lemon Myrtle), Phenoxyethanol, Benzyl Alcohol, Limonene*, Linalool*. *Natural component of essential oil. Formula being gentle does not strip my skin. This is a first cleanser that does no leave my skin tight after cleansing. First ever! I use it every morning dispensing one full pump on the  foreo cleansing device (for combo skin, blue), buffing all over the face, neck and chest for about 3 minutes...massaging at the same time. I open the eyes and the formula does not sting at all! Also I go over lips and all over eyes (closed hehe) with the machine. Skin is soooo soft and smooth after. My pores are kept clean this way, using the cleanser with foreo daily. Now do not have whiteheads forming and blackheads in my huge pores. Skin is kept clean and healthy. Love this simple and gentle, yet effective cleanser. Say goodbye to tight skin! And clogged pores!
I love the Sukin range as they are both affordable and made from natural ingredients - which is a priority for me. This cleanser is great and gentle enough for everyday use . i have very large and oily pores so am always looking for something that will give me a good deep cleanse and cut through the grime - and this does the job perfectly. I'm not sure how much the charcoal actually does as the formula is very gel like, but it smells nice, although it can be a little messy (being black) is the pump runs, however ti doesn't stain my washer or towels.  I love the pump dispenser and as I leave mine in the shower, I find it very easy to use.
I recently experienced some hormonal acne and dreaded whiteheads on my chin and jaw area and decided to purchase a few products in the Sukin Oil Balancing range, based on a great recommendation I received. The cleanser is my favourite in the Oil Balancing range, and I noticed it helped calm and reduce my acne even after a few days. I am very pleasantly surprised with how well this cleanser worked in reducing my acne, as over the years I've tried a lot of Dermatologist developed and recommended products and brands which cost a lot more than this product, yet don't work as well! This cleanser comes in a 125ml plastic pump bottle, and although I thought the packaging is small at first, you don't need much product to create a great lather. The cleanser is runny gel that has a slight black tint due to the added charcoal. It really lathers, cleanses and rinses well without making my skin feel dry or rough, and it definitely helps minimise excess oil and breakouts. I'm not too found of the scent, but I'm pleased that it doesn't contain any harsh exfoliating ingredients or sulphates, but instead contains citrus extracts which seem to be doing the trick.  I highly recommend this cleanser to anyone with oily, blemished skin as it's very effective and affordable.
This cleanser is great for my oily skin. It is gentle but effective, and does a great job at cleaning any excess oil my skin produces. It doesn't irritate my skin which is rare for cleansers. I don't break out when using this product, and it actually makes my skin feel brand new. I've noticed it starting to produce less oil overall, and that my makeup goes on smoother after cleansing with this.
I love all Sukin products and this one is no different. This is one company that is doing great things for the skincare world all at an affordable price point and I love their ethos of excluding all chemical nasties.  I am mostly a dry to dehydrated skin type particularly in the winter however I thought I'd try this as I had a sample sachet of this when I had purchased other Sukin products and my skin was starting to break out near my temples (mainly hormonal acne).  Although I only had a sachet, I love how the full size product comes in a bottle with a pump for easy no mess dispensation. I wish more companies released skincare with pumps! The colour is a mixture of translucent and dark grey from the charcoal and is of a gel-like consistency and not too runny like some gels which is great.  I recommend wetting your face before applying the gel so that it lathers up well. After washing it off, my face felt soft and not dry and stripped of its natural oils which was a really pleasant feeling. After about two uses, I found my pimples had subsided and did so much more quickly than usual and were less inflamed. I am now considering purchasing the full-size to use on those days when my skin is misbehaving.
Great for an everyday face wash! It's light weight and does not dry out your skin as some cleansers due for oily skin types. Great packaging and I enjoy that I know I am putting something good for my skin as there are no parabens and sulphate free. I wish that the packaging did not have a pump bottle as it is hard to travel with but other than that I would definitely repurchase!
When you have oily skin you want to make sure that whatever skincare products you are using will gently remove any dirt and oil from your face without stripping your skin of moisture as that will cause irritation and dryness, leading to more sebum production and creating a vicious cycle.  I have tried lots of products that have caused horrible reactions and made my skin so dry and tight in an effort to get rid of the oil.  With this cleanser however, I did not have that problem.  I was initially worried about it because I figured that the charcoal would be too harsh for my skin as it can get sensitive at times.  However, the charcoal was perfect balanced in the cleanser to get rid of the oil while still leaving my skin smooth and soft.  The oil balancing cleanser was just what my skin needed and I think for those who suffer from oily skin balance is very important.  You want the appropriate levels of cleansing and hydration to ensure healthy and clear looking skin and Sukin hit the nail on the head.  When you first pump the cleanser out, it has a dark black/grey colour which was very interesting.  When I mixed it with water it lathered up really nicely and I was very impressed considering it was all natural too.  The gel was of a medium consistency making it easy to wash my face without most of the product falling out of my hands and into the drain.  The scent wasn't offensive as I had expected it to be because lets face it, charcoal doesn't exactly sound like a great smelling ingredient.  With added ingredients of aloe vera, cucumber and chamomile to soothe the skin, it was the perfect combination to effectively cleanse my skin.  I have used it both on a bare face and with makeup and both times it did such a great job.  It took my makeup off very easily, mascara and eyeliner included.  Once I washed the cleanser off, there was no residue and my skin had a nice clean feeling.  Overtime I found that the cleanser decreased the amount of oil my skin was producing.  It minimised breakouts and it just made my skin look and feel much better.  Even if you don't have oily/combination skin I would still recommend this cleanser.  Lightweight, natural, Australian made, cruelty free and very affordable! If you're venturing into charcoal based products then I would definitely start with this one!
First I must say I am not too much into natural skincare. I do appreciate when the brand does not destroy the environment but I haven't joined the hype for all organic, all natural products. I do like some glycolic or lactic acid in my routine and I do think they are quite natural too. However, when I find a product that smells lovely and doesn't play up with my combination skin I am very happy. I bought this Sukin cleanser just because I really like the Oil Balancing Face Scrub. I was hoping for the similar scent and the similar results and I got them. I find the packaging very handy and quite interesting. I like the choice of colour ( grey and black which indicates the use of charcoal), I love the pump, makes it easy to dispense the right amount of product onto the hand! The gel itself is rather greyish, thick and sticky and I believe this is the only not so appealing feature of the product because its thick consistency makes it difficult to wash/ rinse off the face. It does take some time to get rid of the product but on the other hand this might be the hack as we are sure our face is squeaky clean afterwards as we spend so much time rinsing it. What I love about this product is its scent, very similar to the scrub, herbal, I can definitely smell some tea and in my opinion the smell is extremely relaxing and to me even addictive. I was looking forward to the evening and my routine which included Sukin Oil Balancing face gel. As long as the results are concerned I haven't noticed anything spectacular, just a typical face wash that will cleanse your face without irritating. I am sure it does control the production of sebum to some extent but I wouldn't expect miracles. I do like this product for its scent and a handy packaging.
Love Love Love. I recently switched to Sukin and this one is by far my favorite product in their range.  I also recently became very interested in the benefits of charcoal and this product combines the all natural, gentle and affordable features of Sukin with my new found love of charcoal. I love that this product doesn't make my skin feel dry after washing it.
As a beauty therapist, I've tried all the organic , natural skin care brands. Even though Sukin is extremely affordable and contains a low percentage of active ingredients, their products never fail to disappoint! This cleanser is one of them! The foaming gel consistency is perfect for oily-combination skin as it is pH balancing and non-drying. Being in the pump pack makes it super handy for a quick cleanse in the shower or in the morning too. Sukin is a great go-to brand for those conscious of what they're putting on their skin, their environment and of course, their money!
I love the Sukin brand and have tried many of their products. I happened to receive this cleanser in a Skincare Goody Bag and thought it wouldn't be suitable for my dry skin so I didn't use it at first. Then hot sweaty summer came around and mys kin started to get icky and oily so I thought this was the perfect time to bring this product out. It comes in a pump bottle which is easy to use and one pump is enough for one use so it will last for a long time. The pump design does mean it is not suitable for travelling though without dispensing it into a separate container. The directions for use tell you to apply to wet hands and rub into a lather before applying to the face but I find it's just as good to apply to a wet face. The cleanser is quite black in colour because of the Bamboo Charcoal but this doesn't stain your skin unless you happen to miss a spot when you wash it off. I'm not a huge fan of the smell but I don't have too many cleansers that I do like the smell of really. After I wash it off I find it doesn't leave my skin feeling too dry despite the fact my skin is dry naturally. Overall it is a great product in the Sukin range and the fact that it is natural and available at such a budget price means that anyone can afford to use it.
I bought this after a recommendation from a friend, I didn't have the greatest expectations since it was so cheap but i am a huge fan of all natural and definitely cruelty free products and I wasn't disappointed with this at all. It feels so refreshing while washing your face and it really helped clear up my skin (I have oily combination skin)
Charcoal has become a major player in the skincare game as it's full of amazing benefits, especially for those of us who have oily and acne prone skin.  It helps draw out impurities while also balancing out the skin so it doesn't leave your face feeling tight.  I purchased the Sukin oil balancing gel cleanser from my local chemist as I had run out of my previous cleanser and was looking for something new.  As it was towards the beginning of summer I wanted something that was lightweight and would help keep my oily skin under control.  The humidity and heat seems to really mess up my skin during these months, making it problematic.  It comes in a 125ml pump so it's easy to use and disperses just the right amount of product.  If I have a bare face, I just use one pump which is sufficient.  If I have makeup and sunscreen on, I like to use two pumps.  It's quite a surprise when you dispense the liquid and realise that it's a dark grey/black colour thanks to the charcoal!  It has a gentle foam and it has an earthy, herbal scent which isn't too bad.  Even though Charcoal is the star of the cleanser, it also contains a whole host of other goodies including pomegranate which is full of antioxidants, Coconut for it's hydration, Chamomile which calms the skin (great for when your skin is red and inflamed from breakouts) and aloe vera which soothes.  The cleanser removed all the impurities from my complexion and left it feeling so clean and refreshed.  It's just what my skin needs after a hot summers day with all the grime and build up that has accumulated on my face.  The oiliness that occurred on a daily basis has decreased immensely, my breakouts have reduced in size and my pores weren't as congested as before.  It's gentle enough for everyday and makes me feel like I'm detoxifying my skin.   Pros: -Removes excess oil without stripping skin of moisture -Affordable and can be purchased at most chemists and supermarkets  -All natural and cruelty free -Australian made & owned -Gentle enough for everyday  -Reduces blemishes -Decreases congestion -Works well for oily, acne prone and normal skin
I decided to purchase this Sukin cleanser from my local pharmacy as I was experiencing more breakouts and congestion than normal. I have now been using this product for a couple of months and I am so pleased I decided to purchase it!! It is great value for money and comes in a small plastic bottle with a pump dispenser. It is a lightweight, foaming gel cleanser and I find it quite concentrated so only a small pump is all I need and it lathers well, without being too harsh or over drying like so many of the "deep cleaning" and oil-balancing cleansers I have tried. I apply a small amount to damp skin and it creates a soft, gentle lather, it rinses well and leaves skin feeling fresh. It has a herbal smell, which I am not too fond of but it's nothing too overpowering at all. This cleanser does a great job removing all residual makeup, dirt, oil and grime, but still leaves my skin feeling soft, refreshed and comfortable. I have struggled with acne and breakouts for many years and after using much more expensive products in the past I am very pleased that I discovered this Sukin cleanser. Not only has it helped balance my skin, I have much less breakouts and acne, without any redness or irritation which you can get from other acne treatment cleansers. I'm not sure if it's due to the charcoal in this cleanser, but I definitely have less blackheads on my T-zone and don't have the congestion that I did before I started using this product. I definitely recommend this cleanser to anyone who has oily, blemished or acne prone skin as it works very well in reducing oil and breakouts, so you really won't be disappointed if you give this cleanser a try! Pros: Made from natural ingredients, with very minimal harsh chemicals added Australian made :) Pump dispenser, makes it easy to dispense the right amount of cleanser Great value for money Really helps balance oil and breakouts Does not irritate skin or cause redness Creates a gentle lather that does not dry out skin Cons: Can leave black stains in the bathroom due to the bamboo charcoal ingredient Herbal, slightly medicinal scent
A really great, standard cleaner, perfect for everyday use. It's strong enough to cut through makeup if you need it to (I usually use it as a second cleanse though), but doesn't strip or affect my sensitive skin in any way. It has a great gel consistency that is easy to use and doesn't run off, and it smells like, you guessed it, charcoal - which makes a nice change from some of the more floral or fruity cleaners on the market. I don't have too much trouble with oil, just in my T-zone, but this has definitely helped to regulate that. However, my biggest pro for this product is also a con, which is the pump dispenser. I love how Sukin use pump dispensers on their products, as it make it super easy to have them sitting on your bathroom sink for quick and hygienic deployment, but it makes it hard to pack this cleanser in a toiletries bag for travel, as you can't close the pump without loosing product or risking leaks. But it's a relatively minor complaint for a decent cleanser at an affordable price. I'd recommend this to anyone - it certainly does what is says on the bottle, which is a rarer thing than it should be.
