Swisse Micellar Makeup Removing Cleansing Water

This is a basic micellar water cleansing product that is meant to be used as a first cleanser to remove make-up. It is a watery product that has a yellow tint. It contains glycerin, a humectant, and cucumber extract. The scent is fresh and not overpowering. Swisse recommends this for oily/combination skin, and recommends following up with a second cleanser. In other words, it requires at least a rinse. I found this to be less effective as a make-up remover compared to my Bioderma cleansing water. It did not do a good job with waterproof products as claimed. On days when my skin has be sensitised, I found it to sting slightly as well, so I would not recommend it for sensitive skin. Since it requires a second cleanser, I found this product to be a little pointless. It doesn't remove make-up as well as a cleansing oil or balm. It's also not suitable to be used without rinsing like the Bioderma micellar water, which I used to clean my face before applying fresh make-up if I'm going out later in the day. Hence, it's not something that I will repurchase or recommend.

I've been using Swisse Micellar Makeup Removing Cleansing Water for a while. I had two bottles of this to use in my stash, which I got from a couple of different goody bags, and I think I can say without doubt that it was disappointing. I don't believe it did a good enough job of removing my everyday makeup and highly doubt it would remove stubborn waterproof makeup as it claims on the bottle. It is non irritating, and I have not noticed an increase in blemishes but that isn't enough to encourage me to purchase this product. I can't recommend it when there are better micellar water products out there.

i liked this Micellar water very much and the I even liked the smell! It is gentle and feels great on the skin. I like with all Swisse products there are no nasty ingrediants and I do not have to worry about putting hard chemicals on my skin. It removes the make up faily well however I use this as a first step cleanser at night and then go in with another cleanser to make sure all make up etc has been removed. The price point is great on these products too and I love the packagin making them very easy to travel with.
