Good average cream cleanser. Not enough for me to remove makeup of spf, but I use it as a second or morning cleanse. It has slight herbal scent. It lasts for ages. I do use loads on face, neck and chest with foreo cleansing device. Just to do a deeper cleanse. Does not strip the skin or make it feel tight after washing. It is very very gentle. My skin is oily to combo with very big pores. And with regular acid use and retinol I feel this cleanser is enough to keep the skin fresh and clean but not stripped and irritated.
I used this cleanser as part of a new skin care routine with the Trilogy Rosapene Night cream. I don't usually like a cream cleanser, I favour a gel/foam formula. However, this cleanser was beautiful, gentle but still made my face feel clean. As I age, my skin is getting a lot dryer so the gels/foams are becoming a bit harsh and the Trilogy cream cleanser made a noticeable difference to the feel of my skin within a couple of days. I truly believe this worked amazing in combination with the Rosapene night cream. I love this product and think it is great for those heading towards the 40 age bracket or those with dry skin.
I have previously written a review on Trilogy rose hip oil antioxidant plus in which I questioned the shelf life of the product. The oil smelt very fishy even it was well before expiry. I contacted the customer service and the response was that it was fine to use. In december 2018, I opened this cleanser. The expiry was in 2019. The cleanser was purchased at the same time as the questionable rose hip oil. Immediately after opening, I noticed a rancid, old oil smell... it was a sign of another Trilogy going off before its used by date. The cleanser was very runny - more like a lotion than a cream. Because of this, I did not want to risk using it. I have used hundreds of products and I know when a product has gone off. I did not contact Trilogy in this instance seeing that their response to the rose hip oil complaint (which I purchased around the same time) was to keep using it. The cream cleanser was a fail and it went straight into the bin. Another instance that I found Trilogy products going off before expiry date was their Mineral Radiance Mask. I did contact Trilogy in that instance, and after a few emails back and forth they agreed to send me a replacement, which was appreciated. However, my advice in relation to Trilogy products is to not stock up. Only purchase when it is going to be used immediately, as I found that most of their products go off before expiry date.
My new cleanser has arrived!!! I won this in a gorgeous pack of trilogy products and my gosh it won me over within the first 3 days. A tough cleanser (removed makeup and all without any scrubbing) that feels like silk and leaves skin clean, fresh and soft. I have combination skin and found it was perfectly suited to my skin type. Didn't dry skin out or leave any form of residue. After using for a couple of days I noticed a change in complexion, my skin was a lot brighter and my pores weren't clogged. The packaging is lovely, an amber glass pump bottle that disperses just the right amount of product. It also has a heavenly scent that isn't overpowering. I would highly recommend this to anyone who wants a deep clean without feeling like you've stripped your skin. Love it.
I absolutely love this cleanser - it's creamy and rich, yet cleans deeply while being completely gentle on my skin. The longer I use this cleanser, the more my skin loves it. This is definitely not your basic cleanser. MY SKIN: Sensitive, acne-prone, not oily. Gel cleansers tend to strip my face of oils, while many cream cleansers don't provide a deep enough clean. PRODUCT PACKAGING: A translucent 200mL pump bottle with a sturdy pump which dispenses just the right amount of product while also maintaining the integrity of the ingredients. NOTABLE INGREDIENTS: Sweet almond oil, which helps retain skin moisture; rosehip oil, which thanks to its high content of essential fatty acids improves skin texture and helps in healing scars; and evening primrose oil, which is perfect for calming my sensitive skin. TEXTURE & CONSISTENCY: Thick and luxurious, this creamy cleanser applies like a dream on the skin. It doesn't lather or foam up, but it definitely cleanses and washes off cleanly without residue. SCENT: An earthy, herbal blend of rosehip oil with botanicals that is so pleasing to the senses. Unfortunately, that means it is not fragrance-free, so those with very sensitive skin may want to do a patch test first, although I've never had an issue with irritation. PERFORMANCE: I use one pump, and spend about one minute massaging my face with the cleanser to get the best results. As far as cleansing goes, it removes everyday dirt and grime without a fuss and removes general makeup easily, too. It's not meant to wash off long-wearing foundations, though, so I always use a separate cleanser for more heavy-duty cosmetics. However, where this cleanser shines is in how it leaves my skin feeling post-cleansing: Soft, supple, and velvety! I've also noticed that long-term use of this cleanser has lead to more radiant skin. A good cleanser is such an essential step in good skincare, and unfortunately one that's so often overlooked. The Trilogy Cream Cleanser has the trifecta going for it: Great ingredients, amazing formula, and it performs beyond just cleansing.
I received a rather generous sample of this a while ago. As I have combination skin prone to breakouts on occasion,I have always stuck with foaming cleansers as I felt they would give a deeper clean and not clog my pores. Although I am a huge fan of Trilogy I would not have purchased this personally due to previous experiences with cream cleansers. They just were not for me. I am so glad I got to try this as I would have been missing out on an amazing product! The Trilogy cream cleanser comes packaged in a sturdy frosted pump bottle with a handy pump dispenser. The cream is white, rich and smells beautiful;earthy and herbaceous. One pump is quite enough to cleanse the face and neck region. It feels gentle and soft on skin and , as with most cream cleansers,it does not lather at all.  I was initially skeptical about it removing my liquid foundation, eyeliner and mascara as it felt incredibly gentle while using so I used a cotton round with toner to give my face another wipe over. I was actually amazed. The cotton round was still perfectly white! This gentle cleanser had effectively removed all my makeup! My skin felt soft, smooth and renewed after using this cream cleanser. My previous worries were unfounded- this cleanser did not clog up my skin at all, it actually helped clear my skin up! Such a gentle ,effective cleanser that works even on oily/combination skin. I expect high quality from Trilogy, but even I was impressed a natural cream cleanser could work so well! I recommend this for all skin types.
Luv, luv, luv, luv, lurrrve this clenser, it's gorgeously luxurious and smells divine! It consistently leaves my skin looking and feeling clean, fresh and revitalised could not recommend it more. I am 35, fair, combination skin, somewhat sensitive and I have never had any issues with this or anything in the Trilogy range
I have to admit this cream cleanser expensive but it is totally worth it for me. The natural subtle rose scent is already a big winner for me not to mention that my skin feels super smooth and moisturised after use. This product claims to remove makeup but I doesn't totally remove eye makeup so I would still use makeup remover first then use this cream cleanser as double cleansing. The best part of this cleanser is that I could even use it with my clarisonic facial cleanser.
I’ve recently discovered Trilogy products and I’m slowly trying everything in the range.  The thick cream cleanser is a beautiful, light emollient that leaves skin super clean and primed.  I don’t use feel I need anything else - no toner, scrub or makeup remover - the cream removes even waterproof mascara with ease - and my skin is looking better every day - clear and bright.  I’m over 50 and this product is so gentle and moisturising - it never leaves the skin tight and you only need a tiny bit as it spreads out quickly (I sometimes use a face cloth for an exfoliation effect, and sometimes just rinse with water). It smells lovely with that hint of rose that comes through but is never overbearing.  The price is mid range but it comes in a reasonably sized bottle with easy pump applicator (one hand works fine) and contains all sorts of nice ingredients like rosehips (of course), carrot, aloe, evening primrose oil, and almond oil - all organic and all ethically sourced.  I really feel good about buying from this ethical NZ company (and I’m really trying hard to only buy from ethical companies these days) who uses the highest quality products they can find - and I’m happy to put this stuff on my skin, and equally happy about how it feels and looks when I rinse it off.
I adore this product. The frosted glass bottle reminds me of high end lines like Perricone, but at a fraction of the cost! The rosehip, evening primrose and carrot are the most glorious combination, the smell is like a lush spring morning. The carrot gives it an deep colour, which I love. A little goes a long way, and it lathers really well for a cream cleanser. It’s my new favourite cleanser!
What I like: Really lovely cream cleanser - feels so soft and comfortable to use. Cream formulations are my favorite to use in the shower after removing my makeup with a micellar water. This one leaves my skin feeling clean, moisturized and not irritated - although I wish they'd excluded the essential oils, these are listed at the very end of the ingredient listing and are likely to be in small amounts. I also enjoy the brown glass pump bottle packaging - its shower friendly and elegant. It's quite economical here in Australia, I can usually purchase on sale from Priceline or Chemist Warehouse. The 200ml size lasts me around 3 months with daily use.  What I don't like: I'm going to buy the Very Gentle version next as I prefer simple formulations without essential oils. If you want to travel with this product, you need to either buy the tube packaging (100ml) or decant into a plastic tub or container. Your eyes can get a little cloudy after use so you need to rinse really well but it doesn't sting or irritate my eyes.
