This is an exceptionally beautifully palette. The shadow and glitter is very finely milled, so it gives a sheer shimmering effect which is absolutely gorgeous (as the name suggests, Moon Dust), so don't expect intense-impact glitter. But for someone who prefers that sheer 'glistening' effect, it's amazing! They're extremely wearable shades and I absolutely love everything about the palette, from packaging to names, concept and formula. Took one star off because it definitely does have fall out and you might find some specks down your cheeks by the end of the night.
I picked this up on a whim one day when walking through mecca maxima, and it has turned out to be a great investment. A palette of sparkling jewel tones it stands out in a sea of neutrals. I wanted to break out of my makeup rut and try something new, and although I have not been the biggest fan of glitter shadows, this palette has been a game changer for me. I have found that urban decay has one of the best eyeshadow formulations on the market and this palette is no exception. The moondust shadows are very shimmery and sparkly with some having a duo chrome (colour changing effect). They look stunning on, and can be layered with regular shadows for a more subtle look. To amp up the glam for a special occasion and to prevent fall out (which is nearly almost inevitable with glitter shadows) I use a glitter glue eyeshadow primer from TooFaced. I love the lasting power of the shadows and how easy they are to work with. I have found them to be pigmented, with minimal fall out and the shades contained in the palette are versatile enough to be worn alone or used together to create different eye looks. Overall a great palette – definitely one worth considering if you’re up for something a bit different!   Pros - Good value for money, as the palette contains a range of shades (instead of purchasing them individually) - High quality formulation, the pigmentation, longevity and overall finish of the shadows is stunning   Cons - Glitter shadows are prone to having fall out (which can be minimised with a good eyeshadow primer) - May not suit all tastes / age groups, and perhaps more suited for special occasions / more dramatic makeup looks rather than everyday use.
