Weleda Smoothing Night Cream - Wild Rose

My mother always used Weleda - it goes back a long way (the 1920s!) and was natural, cruelty free, and fair-trade long before it became fashionable. It’s pretty expensive in general, but I know that I’m paying for a high quality, ethical product.  I’ve been using Weleda hand cream for years, but the Wild Rose Soothing Night Cream has become a new favourite for me.  This beautiful and super rich cream really smells like roses, as you’d expect when it’s main active ingredient is wild rose oil.  It’s beautiful and I find the soft - not too strong - scent helps me get to sleep, though that could be the evening primrose oil.  Rubbing gently into clean skin has become something of a ritual for me and though it’s definitely not cheap, it’s so concentrated you really only need a very small amount - pea sized. It soaks in quickly and leaves the skin feeling soft and hydrated - especially in the morning. I also use it in the décolletage area.  My hormonal breakouts have disappeared, and I do feel like I’m looking more vibrant with a glow, though I haven’t really noticed after a few weeks, any changes to my wrinkles (but who could tell - I like my wrinkles anyway - they show I smile a lot). I think that this product would be idea for older skin as it’s really very rich and probably not so good for oily skin.  However, for mature, dry skin, I can think of no finer night cream on the market.
