Australis Liquid Lips

I got this on a whim since it was on sale on the Australis website. This lip product comes in a tube with a doe-foot applicator. It comes in a huge variety of shades now, not just six. I have 'Waa-fle' which is a cool-ish cocoa brown. I usually have dry lips so I wasn't sure about a matte lip product. It is very easy to apply, has a pleasant scent, good pigment yet lightweight. I'm usually not a big fan of matte lip products due to my dry lips. Surprisingly, my lips didn't feel dry with this after hours. There is minimal transfer onto cups and the colour doesn't disappear after eating. It's really good when wearing masks since it stays in place.

Australis liquid lips were one of the first I’ve tried, I’ve tried many more since and these are definitely average. I find they are sooooo drying on the lips, to the point where I can’t stand it anymore and need it off after a few hours. They have a wide selection of fun colours and they are really really pigmented, so that vivid Fluoro orange is actually going to look fluro when you apply it. When applying the formula feels really creamy and is easy to glide on with the applicator. They smell really nice as well. They dry really matte, also with all liquid lips I didn’t like the fact that there is a really obvious line where it wears off around the rim of your mouth after a few hours. I won’t repurchase these again, but they are a good option for those who want a cheaper option and don’t mind that really dry feel on their lips.

Oh my god... Matte lipsticks are still hot, hot, hot, and something that I reach for regularly, so it's to my delight that Australis has released a new line of Liquid Lips made up of 5 shades, including: 1) Tira-mis-u: Soft brown 2) Creme Bru-lee: Nude 3) Pan-na-cotta: Fuschia 4) Sun-dae: Red 5) Par-fait: Plum I got Creme Bru-lee, and it's gorgeous! This is truly matte, and dries down on the lips, so it doesn't rub off easily. It is a little drying, but I tend to expect that from matte lipsticks in general, so it doesn't bother me. For a nude shade, this really covers my lips, and it is beautiful on! These retail for $10.49 each and I think I'll be picking up Sun-dae when I can!
