Burt’s Bees Skin Nourishment Gentle Foaming Cleanser

This cleanser comes in a foam which has a pump action to distribute the product. I often find that foam cleansers are very hit and miss for me, as it often feels like the product doesn't really sit on the skin or cleanse effectively: unfortunately, with this cleanser it was a miss for those reasons, even after using three pumps. I also found the smell of this product incredibly off-putting (I'm assuming this was the Royal Jelly) - the general fragrance really doesn't sit well with me and it also seems incredibly old-fashioned, like something a Grandma would enjoy. I also found that my skin came away feeling red and irritated, so overall, was not a pleasant experience with this product unfortunately.

A foam cleanser is somewhere between a cream cleanser to a liquid cleanser. It cleanses the skin well without being too harsh on the skin. This foam cleanser is perfect for my dry combination skin. I can use it in winter and summer without my skin drying out too much or getting too oily. The packaging is good. The bottle itself is of a metal alloy type material with a plastic nozzle. Each pump gives a generous amount of foam so i only press the pump halfway. The scent of royal jelly always reminds me of sweet bubblegum which i really like. This is a product that i will definitely recommend and buy again for myself.

I have been using this product in conjunction with three other products in the Burt’s Bees skin nourishment range over the past few weeks, and all in all I have to say I am impressed with this gentle foaming cleanser. The cleanser comes in a pump bottle, and contains 141.9 mL or 4.8 fl oz for a RRP of $24.95. The packaging is easy to use and stores the product effectively. The cleanser foams as it is pumped out, and I used two pumps to cleanse my entire face/neck. The foam is white and smells nice, but does not have a very strong scent. I found that the cleanser left my skin feeling both clean and soft. I usually remove my makeup prior to cleansing, but for the purpose of this trial I also used the cleanser outright to see how it performed. I found that while it struggled to remove all traces of some long-wear makeup, general grime and day-to-day makeup was removed without a worry. I have very sensitive skin but this cleanser did not irritate it at all. I did find that my skin occasionally felt a little dry afterwards, but applying the face oil and day/night cream relieved this immediately. Although there are cleansers that are a little cheaper out there, I definitely think this product is worth a try. Especially if you have sensitive skin! I love how my skin is looking and feeling after using this in conjunction with the facial oil and day/night creams in the skin nourishment range. PROS - affordable, effective, gentle on skin, pleasant scent, suitable for sensitive skin, functional packaging, works well with other BB products. CONS - a little drying, doesn't remove all long-wear makeup.

Burt’s Bees Skin Nourishment Gentle Foaming Cleanser is a delightful cleanser to use everyday, but especially in the morning, as it adds radiance and beauty to your skin, leaving you feeling fresh and radiant all day long.  It contains royal jelly which is lovely and nourishing. The cleanser is in a pump bottle that you pump to dispense the product.  Then after wetting your face, massage the foam lightly between your hands and then massage over your face and neck for about a minute.  The texture is light and foamy, and spreads easily over your skin, then splash afterwards with water to remove. This cleanser can be used both morning and night, however it wont remove eye makeup, so remove your eye makeup first, then apply the cleanser.    The royal jelly makes it very hydrating and nourishing, yet you feel your skin is super clean and purified, but with no dry or tight parts. Your skin will be super soft after using this cleanser, and really be ready to absorb  your serum and day or night cream.  If you have sensitive skin, your skin will feel calm, and if you have a little oiliness, your skin will be will feel great, purified  and not get too oily during the day. PRO's Great value, will last you for ages A pleasure to use and has a lovely foaming texture Will not dry your skin out Gives a superior clean, leaves your skin refreshed and radiant I recommend this cleanser to everyone who loves super soft and radiant skin.  So easy to use, and you only need a little, this cleanser is both a very effective cleanser and lots of fun to use.

This is a great foaming cleanser at a great price point. I love burts bees products as they are always of a high quality and great price point. This cleanser foams up really well and removes all traces of grime, dirt, makeup and oil. the cleanser foams really well so you dont need to use a lot and cleans so gently which is great for sensitive skin. It leaves my skin looking radiant and feeling so clean, fresh and smooth. Loving the addition of royal jelly and the fact that the pump is easy to use and creates no mess. This cleanser does not dry skin out and I didnt have to scrub which I love although it was a little difficult to remove waterproof mascara, so you may need another product for this. A great product i highly recommend

Burt Bees products are ones that I use regularly because they are normally very gentle and nourishing on my skin. When the Skin Nourishment Gentle Foaming Cleanser was released I keenly purchased it, as it looked like a great everyday cleanser.   It comes in the tube with a pump for easy application and the packaging is typical of other Burt's Bees products – light white and yellow.   The cleanser has a soft floral scent. The cleanser foams up extremely well so you only need to use a small amount of product to cleanse your face. It spreads easily, is very soft and gentle on the skin and washes off with ease. Basically all the things I am looking for in a foaming cleanser.   When I use this cleanser my face is left feeling clean, gentle and refreshed. It removes all of my everyday makeup. Although if you wear really heavy eye makeup you may need to double cleanser. The cleanser has not dried my skin out at all. This is a cleanser that I find really suits my skin in the warmer weather when my skin is not as dry.   Overall, I would recommend this cleanser to others with normal skin, who are looking for an affordable everyday foaming cleanser.   Pros: - gentle foaming cleanser that won’t strip the skin. - washes off easily - soft fragrance. - removes everyday makeup. - leaves skin hydrated.   Cons: - if you have very dry skin you may need to alternative this cleanser with a cream one sometimes. - may need to double cleanse if you have really heavy eye makeup.    

If you are looking for a great, gentle cleanser than this might be the one for you. Coming in a gentle, foaming formula, this cleanser is fantastic for removing all traces of make up from the skin. I have found that one to two pumps of this is all I need to cover and reach every inch of my face. First, I recommend that you wet your face and your hands, before applying the cleanser. Then pump a small amount onto your hands, after which I then rub it between my hands before massaging it onto the skin. I do this, because I find that if I go straight on, the foam kind of goes everywhere, where as if I rub it between my hands first it is a little easier to then apply to the face. I was really impressed after applying this, by how well it removed make up and dirt from my skin, and how squeaky clean my skin felt afterwards. My only negative, and that is more to do with my skin type than anything else, is that I did find that my skin felt a little dry afterwards, which I don't get with other cleanser types. However, following the cleanser with the Complete Nourishment Facial Oil quickly fixed that problem. I wouldn't repurchase it, for the simple fact that it does leave my skin feeling a little too dry after using it, but if you have more oily/combination skin, than I think this cleanser would be perfect for you.

I don't know why, but I just love the idea of royal jelly. It seems like such a luxury, old timey ingredient, and I love anything that smells like honey. The royal jelly hype is what made me by this cleanser, which I got with they day cream and eye cream in a pack from Priceline. The first thing to say, only only negative is that it doesn't smell that nice. I can't smell any honey scent, but I don't doubt that it has royal jelly in it as it smells very similar to the conditioner you get with L'Oreal Casting Creme hair colour, and that contains royal jelly as well. Maybe it's that I associate the smell with the dyeing my hair, I don't know, but I don't like the scent after being so excited about it. The cleanser is lovely though. I use it in the shower in the morning and it leaves my skin fresh and clean and ready for for the day. It doesn't sting my eyes, although I haven't tried it to remove eye makeup, and it hasn't caused any breakouts or dermatitis which my skin is prone to. I have oily skin and I find this has the perfect balance of cleansing, without stripping my skin and leaving it dry. I like the foam dispenser and hopefully this will mean the product will last a few months. It's very reasonably priced though, especially if you get it in one of Priceline's sales like I did. If this cleanser smelled more like honey, it would be a 5 star product for me.
