Dior Addict Eau de Parfum

Another crowd pleaser. Does last for 8 hours or so. Bottle handy for popping into the bag. Too much vanilla for me. It overpowers all the other notes. Was excited for the berries, but can not smell any from the strong vanilla...from the start to finish. Does not change. Mature, gourmand scent, a bit outdated.

Dior Addict is where it all started for me. It was the start of my perfume addiction. When I was 16 I received a bottle from my father, and was completely 'addicted' to the smell. I love the simplicity and elegance of the bottle. The turn top of the lid is such a unique addition. I love floral oriental fragrances, and this is definitely my all time favorite. It has excellent silage, and one of those fragrances that people stop you and ask what perfume you're wearing. It has bold notes of orange blossom, mandarin leaf, jasmine sambac absolute and bourbon vanilla. I would say this is best worn as an evening fragrance, and needs only one spray to last you for the night. It's my little black dress and I just love it.

This has been my signature scent since I was 16 and I've always received so many compliments. One spray lasts the entire day and is absolutely brilliant!

This scent turns heads & indulges the senses! It has tremendous staying power & is the one perfume I wear that will result in my consistently being asked (by people I interact with during the day) what scent I'm wearing. The packing is beautiful and feels almost Parisian, the scent itself however is an oriental, smoky and sultry combination of vanilla and musk. The scent changes completely about half an hour after you've applied it as the top notes are more zesty floral (silkwood blossom & mandarin) while the base notes are silky & warm (vanilla & sandalwood). Interestingly this scent includes notes from the Queen of the night flower (this flower only blooms one night a year). Definitely a perfume that makes you feel warm & unique, I'd defnintely recommend trying it!

This is my guilty pleasure, the dark blue bottle hides a dark, mysterious, sweet and warm concoction that is meant to turn heads. It’ s sexy, it’s luxurious.  It has an enormous sillage, lasts hours if not days. This smells like a smoky syrup of fruits ( blackberry, mandarin) and vanilla. I like its comforting balsamic milky base too. Dior Addict is for those who love a statement fragrance like Tom Ford Black Orchid or Noir, or even Gucci Rush or Mugler's Angel as it heads towards the heaviness of the aforementioned scents. It’s best for snowy weather as it tends to warm up the atmosphere, but it will be great for an elegant evening or a night out. Some might find it too intoxicating though. In my opinion an equivalent of Dior Addict in make up would be the blackest smoky eye with shiny sparkles of glitter. A strong elegant and sexy classic.

HOLY CRAP. I tested this on my wrist in store and didn't think it was my cup of tea. I smelt it 30 minutes later and had to go back to buy it. It leaves such a beautiful, rich, deep, woody vanilla scent with a hint of citrus. It lingers for hours and my other half loves it when I wear it. One of my alltime favourites.

Dior Addict is a strong feminine fragrance perfect for night time wear. Everytime I wear it I feel sexier and hubby loves it on me too. It's a long lasting scent that lingers for hours. It's not too overpowering either, the right balance for people to notice and comment how good it smells.
