I am a big fan of Estée Lauder and these masks are no exception. They are easy to apply and the foil outer layer creates a nice warming sensation which post use cleared my pores quite nicely (a bonus!). My skin was ultra soft and plump after use and so my fine lines were diminished. Best is it lasted for days afterwards!
Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair Concentrated Recovery PowerFoil Mask is a cloth and foil sheet mask. While the cloth mask delivers the moisture packed serum, the foil warms with the skin ensuring quicker delivery as it seals in the goodies such as Lady's Thistle, birch extract and magnolia bark extract. The mask is packaged in a luxe gold foil sachet. The cloth and foil comes in 2 pieces, each covering half of the face. The dual mask is saturated in serum, even after removing from the sachet there was an application worth of product left. Each section of the mask fit my face well, one section for forehead and nose, the other for mouth and chin. The instructions recommend ten minutes before removing. Of course, I more than tripled that amount of time. Once I took the mask off, I used the residue on my hands, feet, neck and then repeated, I wasn't wasting any of this expensive serum. The serum remained sticky on my skin for some time before fully absorbing. The result? Soft and smooth skin that was adequately hydrated. But for me, that was the extent of benefits that I noticed. Maybe my expectations were too high, I did expect a lot for a 35 sheet mask. However, I have experienced better results from a much cheaper alternative. I am sad to say that I felt underwhelmed with the Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair Concentrated Recovery PowerFoil Mask. Not a bad mask by any means...just average.
I received a mask as part of a competition. The mask was a little tricky to apply without any clear instructions. There were four pieces: two cloth, one for the top half and one for the bottom and two foil pieces, again one for the top and one for the bottom. Having never used this type of mask before I had to think about which one to apply first but figured I had to apply the cloth pieces first before applying the tin foil on top. The smell of the mask is very similar to the ANR serum which I am not particularly a fan of. I left the mask on for about 30mins contrary to the instructed 10mins. For that price, I was going to milk it. I did enjoy the warming sensation from the heat of skin warming up the foil and developing a warm cocoon. That would be very pleasant for winter. After removing the mask, my skin felt very tacky and sticky and not really that pleasant. My skin did feel hydrated and moisturised though and I didn't have any issues continuing with the rest of my skincare and make up routine. I probably wouldn't purchase just because it's too expensive for what it is and I can achieve an equally good result with much more reasonably priced products or even still, use the ANR serum itself.
I received this mask as part of a recent prize win. I had never tried a foil mask when I received this and was shocked at the recommded retail price! I had high expectations when I finally used this due to the high price point. The mask comes packaged in a slim gold foil packet which looks luxurious and beautiful.  The mask itself comes in 2 pieces, one for the top half of the face and one for the bottom. To apply, you cleanse face then apply the cloth, serum soaked side to face with the foil back facing the outside. The scent is mild and the mask needed minimal adjusting to fit comfortably on my face. The mask is then left on for 15 minutes to work its magic. I left mine on about 25 minutes just for added benefits. The mask gets quite warm and tingly towards the end of the 15 minutes and it honestly got a bit uncomfortable for me. After the time is up,the mask is removed and any leftover serum smoothed onto the skin. My skin felt a bit sticky afterwards but nothing too unbearable.  In the morning my skin felt quite soft and hydrated, yet I really saw no visible improvement in fine lines or skin texture. I've since tried a foil mask half this pruce and personally had better results. This one just isn't for me I guess.
Incredible! The indulgence of this silver mask is worth every $. Just to make it clear: One mask is 35 aud and pack of four is 120, they come in a pack of 8 as well (210 aud). More you buy less you pay. One off is great to get first time to see if it is suitable for results one wants to get.  Este Lauder claims to use PowerFoil technology (unsure what this is) that penetrates serum fast and locking it into the skin  (faster then regular masks), delivering a great punch of hydrating moisture drawing hyaluronic acid and some soothing ingredients.  I leave the mask on for way longer that EL recommends. Well, mask is expensive and luxurious, so why not get most out of it! Plus more relaxation while masking.....more is always better. There is a lot of serum in the pack,  this excess  I save it in sterilised container for next use  without the sheet...just using it as a plain serum. On well cleansed face, I also exfoliate prior for max/better absorption.  The serum after peeling the sheet of I leave on overnight. In the morning skin is so hydrated still and has that glow. Serum is sticky and takes time to absorb. Results: In the morning skin is very hydrated, looks brighter because of this hydration boost, plump and has that healthy glow. And after washing my face in the morning skin is so smooth. Love the results.  If you are using Advanced Night repair serum, this mask delivers double dose of moisture than this ANR serum!
Estée Lauder how do I love thee, let me count the ways. Once again, when I need skin care that will work brilliantly, make me feel and look beautiful, all in the comfort of my own home, it's good old Estée Lauder that I turn to. Now, again I can hear you say, who would pay $120 for a single facial mask? You might think differently if it's a mask from an iconic brand that not only works quickly and effectively, but you see the results instantly and long term, making you glow with health, happiness, beauty and confidence. I was in serious need of some luxurious pampering when I stumbled across this on good old trusty Sephora. I needed my skin and soul to feel beautiful, glowing and confident, what girl doesn't from time to time? That same night, after preparing my skin by double cleansing, and exfoliating so I had a nice, smooth, blank canvas, I unwrapped the cloth and foil mask, and gently placed it over my face, where it fit snug and perfectly over my face. Sure, I looked like a bit of an alien, but sometimes in beauty that's what you have to do, am I right? After laying back and relaxing for the recommended 15 or so minutes, I peeled it off, rubbed in the excess serum, applied more advanced night repair serum and moisturiser, and floated off to bed. The next morning, my skin was looking just incredible. Smooth, rested, hydrated, soft and absolutely glowing. As I did my double cleanse, I loved how smooth and dewy soft my skin felt. I barely needed any makeup that day, just SPF 50+ cc cream, my Urban Decay eyebrow kit and lanolips, that's all. I just glowed and radiated all day long, and even when I did my night time routine, my skin still looked and felt so soft, dewy and clear. I got many compliments that day. $120 may seem like a ridiculous amount of money to spend on a one use product, but when you consider that it's so easy, quick and damn effective to do, it is definitely worth the money, time and effort. I will buy this again, it felt like the best professional facial and 10 hours sleep in a packet. It also felt like beauty, radiance and confidence in that same little packet, and that is worth so much more than money can buy.
At $30 each, this is the most I've paid for a single use beauty treatment product, so my expectations were high and it was the foil that sold it for me - such a unique twist on a sheet mask.  As soon as my husband saw my Tin Man face, he wanted one for himself, which is great because I'm always trying to get hydrating products on him to counteract some of the damage he does to his skin playing golf in the sun for hours on end.  I personally don't feel much of the warming sensation during use that I'd read that I might feel, but I do find the fit of the mask to be so nice and comfortable that I put my head back, close my eyes and relax for the 10 minutes (which is actually more like 15 - 20 because I tend to power nap when I use this mask).  There's nothing worse than a poorly fitting sheet mask, but this one is as fantastic as you'd expect for the price!  Removing this mask, you'll notice beads of moisture on your skin.  Unlike other masks I've used, this one really gets that hydration into your skin for optimum result.  The amount of serum contained in the package is perfect.  It's not so much that you have a drippy, oozy mask, but there's plenty to quench your thirsty face plus a bit left over to cover your arms and décolletage with.  And the result is luminous, hydrated, luxurious skin.  Expensive, but worth it.
My favourite at home luxury face mask. 10 mins is all you need. The advanced night repair serum makes my skin feel so soft and hydrated. I love that you don't wash the serum off, you leave it on all night, so in the morning your skin is glowing. After a few weeks I have definitely noticed an improvement in my skin. They are a little on the expensive side but they work out to be just over $30 a mask.
A heavy dose of the advanced night repair combined with the power of the foil mask to leave your skin fresh and revitalised. Its not inexpensive but if your skin is in need of some TLC its the perfect fixer-upper. Great for dry skin like mine and it gets rid of my redness whilst assisting in fixing the texture of my skin.
