Estée Lauder Daywear Matte Oil-Control Anti-Oxidant Moisture Gel Creme

Elster Lauder is a brand I haven’t had much to do with so far and while I enjoyed the cream I won’t repurchase. The texture is more of a gel and it glides on smoothly and absorbs quickly. The moisturiser is designed to control the oil and shine and it certainly keeps my skin looking matte. My only negative is I found it didn’t keep my skin hydrated enough and I had to double the amount I would usually use.

I have dry skin and have tried out this gel creme during the summer months as a moisturiser before applying makeup. The gel creme feels good on my skin and absorbs almost instantly which is perfect as a makeup base. The cream gives a matte and oily free result but doesn’t dry out my skin at all and I don’t even need to apply primer. Love it.

As a fan of the classic Day Wear face cream I needed to give this one a go too. The original Day Wear cream has been a staple in my skincare routine for ages and it has never let me down. It looks like it has a pretty strong competition at the moment.  The Day Wear Matte comes in a sturdy jar (pretty heavy but I am quite convinced it is plastic) with a golden lid. The jar is transparent but the actual cream container is Day Wear green in colour. The packaging looks posh and luxurioius. A light blue/greenish cream is gel like with a classic Day Wear 

I have combination to oily skin and the Estée Lauder Daywear Matte Oil-Control Anti-Oxidant Moisture Gel Crème is one of the best day crèmes that can combat my oily T-zone throughout the day. It is a very lightweight crème, non-greasy and gets absorbed into the skin quite quickly and after application, my skin feels smooth and refreshed. It works well under make-up and acts like a primer and I have noticed my skin’s appearance is brighter and has changed for the better. There is a nice refreshing smell of cucumbers which makes it calming and cool when applied to the face. The only improvement needed is to incorporate SPF into the formula. If you want an everyday, long-wearing day crème that keeps you matte throughout the day, definitely try Estée Lauder Daywear Matte Oil-Control Anti-Oxidant Moisture Gel Crème. 

Estée Lauder Daywear Matte Oil-Control Anti-Oxidant Moisture Gel Creme is a wonderful moisturiser, and if you suffer any skin oiliness or have  some breakouts then this moisturiser is definitely for you,   In the warmer months, my skin gets quite oily and produces a lot more oil and I get breakouts on my chin too.   Despite my skin being oily, it is still quite dehydrated and this is where this wonderful moisturiser helps my skin. I use this moisturiser twice a day.  It not only hydrates my skin, but mattifies it, calms my surface redness and controls the oiliness during the day.    As it controls my oil so well, I am able to apply BB creams and foundation with ease, knowing they will not slide off during the day.   This makes me very happy as I love to apply a lovely BB cream in the morning, but most times by late morning, most of the product has been wiped off because of my oilier skin.  Now I apply this gel like moisturiser, which is cooling, it soaks in quickly and leaves no oily residue.  My makeup goes on beautifully and stays put until I go to wash it off.  As a result, my skin has dramatically improved.  It is more hydrated, and feels soft and smooth.  My oily skin is now under control.  It is fabulous because it controls the oiliness and hydrates and moisturises at the same time, without being a thick or heavier cream. I tend to have oily skin on my T zone area especially in summer and in humidity so I purchased this to try to reduce that. It really works to control oil and shine and works amazing under my moisturiser. The gel cream is a lovely  soft consistency that glides on so well and is really hydrating. It also leaves a matte finish that controls the shine. a gorgeous product
