Olay Regenerist Luminous Brightening Cream Cleanser

This is an awesome budget friendly cream cleanser that delivers great results. The handy squeeze tube makes it easy to use with no mess. The cream itself is light and silky, not too heavy and it contains tiny micro beads for a deeper clean without drying and are not as abrasive as some scrubs can be. It removes makeup and grime and oil effectively without irritation and leaves my skin feeling soft and smooth and as it is exfoliated it always looks brighter. I look less tired, more youthful. It is packaged nicely and has a nice subtle fragrance. Overall this was a winner for me and I would recommend it

I received this as part of a gift, and was certainly happy to have another Olay product, especially a cream cleanser, but was a little concerned when I found it had micro beads, as many exfoliating products are too rough and drying for my mature skin. I need not have worried! This brightening cleanser has very fine beads in a light textured cream, which gives my skin a nice polish while cleansing, without being at all abrasive or drying. Dermatologists say that exfoliating and removing old skin cells is one of the more proven ways to keep ageing skin at bay, and Olay cleanser has certainly kept my skin soft, clear and smooth whilst I’ve been using it. It also has a fresh, slightly lemony scent which is quite pleasant. I usually use a micellar water to remove heavier make-up and then follow with the cleanser. For a cream cleanser it is unexpectedly easy to rinse off and I cannot fault its great effect on my skin. Better still is the price – only $15.99 for a cleanser that has a similar effect to a well-known 7 Day Scrub but at a third of the price! I love using Olay cleanser and will definitely repurchase.

An inexpensive and effective daily cream cleanser that comes in a handy squeezable tube. I have dry cheeks and in winter prefer the texture of a cream cleanser as my cheeks can feel a bit tight. This Olay cleanser has a lovely, creamy texture that rinses off really well and leaves no greasy, heavy residue. It contains tiny exfoliating beads, which really don't do much in terms of exfoliating my skin but they do help provide a deeper clean. It is designed to provide skin brightening benefits, which I haven't really noticed but my skin does feel smoother and softer every time I use this cleanser. It has a lovely fragrance that doesn't irritate my skin and isn't too strong. You can use this cleanser on both dry and damp skin and it is equally as effective in removing makeup and grime. However if you wear heavy makeup, I would definitely suggest removing it first before using this cleanser, as it doesn't remove long-wearing foundation etc. very well, and because of the tiny beads I wouldn't recommend using this product around your eyes!  I will continue to purchase this as it is great value for money and provides a good, deep clean without drying my skin. The tube packaging also makes it handy for travelling or on the go.  

Olay is one of my favourite go-to brands for good quality skincare that is also affordable. This is a cream cleanser that contains a small amount of microbeads for added exfoliation. My skin is slightly dry and I always prefer cream or milk based cleansers, to prevent my skin from drying out further after cleansing. This cleanser comes in a handy squeezable tube, so there’s no waste or spillage. The texture is a light cream and in my opinion is just ideal, that is, it’s not too runny or heavy. The microbeads are not very concentrated and I don’t find they really do much exfoliating when I cleanse my skin. I would have preferred if this cleanser had smaller and more concentrated exfoliating beads. I apply this cleanser in a gentle circular motion to makeup free, dry skin and then rinse it off with lukewarm water. It rinses really well and leaves no oily or greasy residue, but just leaves my skin feeling soft and fresh. As far as cleansing goes, it provides a decent cleanse but it doesn’t remove makeup too well so you definitely need to use a makeup remover prior to using this cleanser. There is a strong but pleasant fragrance, and I wouldn’t recommend using this near or around the eye area as it can sting and irritate the eyes slightly. Overall I think if you want a hydrating, decent quality cream cleanser for under $20 then this is a pretty good buy. In terms of brightening, I haven’t noticed any significant change in the tone of my complexion and my dark spots haven’t reduced, unfortunately! This cleanser does however leave my skin feeling soft and smooth, and my cheeks feel comfortable without any redness or dryness. This is a pretty good cleanser for those who prefer cream, non foaming cleansers and one of the main positive points is that it rinses off well too.  Repurchase: yes Overall rating: 4 stars, as I haven’t noticed much brightening.

This product comes in a silver, blue and white tube with a flip top lid.  The white, creamy cleanser contains micro-beads to gently exfoliate the skin. While using the cleanser I can detect a subtle, pleasant fragrance.    I have combination to dry skin and I’m always wary of products that could dry out my skin.  This creamy cleanser doesn’t feel drying at all and it has not caused me any irritation.        To use the cleanser I wet my face and apply a small amount of the cream, massaging gently over my face.  I then rinse my face in warm water to ensure all of the product is removed.  I only use the cleanser during my morning shower to remove my night creams and to prepare my skin for the day so I cannot say how effectively it removes a full face of makeup.    The cleanser feels like a light scrub and leaves my skin feeling smooth, firm and with a definite glow – that super clean look. With such a lovely clean surface my serum and moisturiser then spread easily over my skin.    I think Olay Regenerist Luminous Brightening Cream Cleanser is a good, affordable product and worth a try.     

Olay is an iconic brand, tried and true and they offer products for the different stages of your life and address the hiccups you encounter with your skin a long the way - Legend! I have sensitive, ageing combination skin.  I have purchased the Olay regenerist cleanser several times as it's affordable and provides results that are comparable to high end cleansers. The packaging is easy to use, a nice 100g squeeze tube and its unbreakable which is important in the bathroom.  A little bit of the cleanser goes a long way and as I use it morning and night find it lasts a couple of months. The cleanser itself is light and fresh with small beads that exfoliate and give your skin that fresh glow. The scent is light, fresh, non irritating and disperses quickly. My skin looks clean and fresh but without that tight over cleansed feel that you get with some cleansers. I will continue to buy and anything that delivers what it promises at such a great price is worth promoting.
