Revlon ColorStay Eyeshadow Primer

The Revlon Colorstay Eyeshadow Primer is a great affordable eyeshadow primer and works really well on my slightly hooded, oily eyes. I only apply a little bit using my fingertip. It really only needs the thinnest layer to work. My 10ml tube has lasted over a year! and I still probably have enough for another couple of months so it really is great value for money. It does have a 12 month upon opening expiry warning but the product has not changed in appearance or scent so I think I'm still safe to continue to use it. I just wish it came with an applicator or even a slanted tip for easier application as my fingers are a little big and clumsy otherwise I'd give it 5 stars.

I bought this at my local supermarket because I didn't want to waste another brands very expensive and well known primer just to wear eyeshadow for work. Those things cost a pretty penny! So I thought I would buy a cheaper option just for work so that my eyeshadow can say in place the whole day. But my goodness when I tried it, and put eyeshadow on, it has stayed in place! The following pictures is 12 hours of wear including site visits. And the eyeshadow that I used are just cheap, pallet from a retail store. I am thoroughly impressed and I even think it may even be better than the particular, high end brand if not more! I have oily skin and my eyelids are prone to have oil in them. A little will go a long way with this product. I will definitely be purchasing again and again.

I am very new to eyeshadow primers, but I am absolutely loving this Colorstay EyeShadow Primer from Revlon. This primer is very silky to the touch and medium in thickness. It creates the perfect smooth base for applying my eyeshadows, helps to better blend the colour and prevents the shadows from creasing and sliding throughout the day. Using this primer under my eyeshadows has increased the life of my eyeshadows by hours and it means that I can wear them all day long without worrying about any smudging or creasing. The price point is fantastic and the packaging is super convenient and easy to use.

I don't wear a lot of eyeshadows these days when going out, simply because it just doesn't sit right on my eye.  I have used other primers and the results weren't fantastic.   I came upon the Revlon Primer in my chemist and the lady recommended it for me. It's a small tube of 10mls but it lasts quite a while for me. Unscrew the top of the lid and I squeeze a very small amount on to the back of my hand and then apply it over my whole eye area. It blends easily over your eyes and dries very quickly.  It actually feels fabulous as you blend.  Very creamy and soft.  I have to say that I now do wear more eyeshadows when I go out now because I trust this primer as being the best I have used.  What's even better is it is affordable to anyone.     

I saw a demo of this on Beauty Crew 's instagram story and thought I'd give it a try. I haven't used an eyeshadow primer before because i hadn't really heard of them but I've always struggled with my eyeshow because of my oily face so I was excited when I saw this demo and went out and bought it. It works really well. I've used it just once but found my makeup looked fresh at 10pm. 

I have never used an eyeshadow primer before, but I can immediately tell the difference after using Revlon's Colourstay Eyeshadow Primer.  As with anyone who uses eyeshadows, after a short period of time, the eyeshadow starts to crease and looks like it's slowly coming off. Just like you would wear primer pre foundation for long wear and an even base, I have now realised that it is just as crucial to wear a primer on your eyelids for exactly the same purpose.  The Revlon primer is quite simple to use. Only a small amount is needed to cover my entire eyelid area. It dries quickly which is great as I can starting applying eyeshadow straight away. One thing I noticed is that before I wore a primer, I was applying a lot of product as I felt it just wasn't sticking, but now after using a primer, I can see that the shadows are sticking with just one or two layers, eliminating the need to apply so many layers.  It's a great primer and a fantastic price point as only a little amount is needed and would last many months. Highly recommended! As Napoleon Perdis once said, "Not to prime is a crime"!

I really loved this primer. I purchased it as I was sick of my eyeshadow wearing off and not staying put and I hate it when eyeshadows crease. I found this made my eyeshadow last much longer. It was easy to use and glided on perfectly leaving no oiliness or sticky residue, it was hydrating but still matt. it dried quickly and I proceeded to put my eyeshadow on. I found the shadow went on more easily and looked more professional and after a few hours still hadnt creased or come off. I would buy this again as at the end of the day my eyeshadow was still going strong and still looked fresh. At a price point of $15.00 you cant go wrong and I would highly recommend this
