Rimmel London ScandalEyes Mascara

Rimmel's ScandalEyes Mascara is a great inexpensive everyday mascara. The brush giving you a great level of coverage on application with the ability to build up to a more dramatic evening look by adding layers. Unlike a lot of budget mascara's ScandalEyes does not flake and look clumpy. A great choice for those looking for a good all rounder.

This mascara is definitely not for me. I find it clumps very easily, especially if you try to apply two coats. It does not apply well on my eyelashes and smudges very easily. I also find it weighs my lashes down quite a bit. However, it may just be the applicator and perhaps if you were to mix in vaseline or use a clear mascara brush it would apply better, The mascara is good for sensitive eyes as it does not cause me any itching, and if you were going for a dramatic effect or going out, this mascara would be perfect. Overall this is not an everyday product in my opinion but it could work on night outs.

My complexion is quite pale, so mascara is something I wear everyday. My eyes are also quite sensitive, and I didn't have any reaction, like watering or redness. Rimmel Scandal Eyes  Mascara is great at defining lashes. It's easy to apply, has great coverage and can be built from a fairly natural look, right up to dramatic night time lashes. The big brush does take a bit of getting used to, but makes it easy to build the colour. The applicator separates my lashes quite well, and  despite the size, can still get into the corner lashes without poking myself in the eye. It lasts really well, no panda eyes at the end of the day, even in the summer heat. I also don't get any flaking. It leaves my lashes feeling quite natural, not dry and hard. the colour is good, too, not too dramatic until you build it up.

After having tried so many brands and types of mascaras, I was thrilled to finally discover 'the one'!  I love the big brush, deep black colour and it separates and lengthens my lashes perfectly.  There are no flaky bits and my lashes still feel quite soft and flexible. The best!

My current go-to for work when the only makeup I slap on before running out the door is some foundation, brow powder and mascara. Does a great job at defining the lashes, leaving a natural finish perfect for day-time but is definitely build-able when you want a more dramatic effect.
