Rosie Huntington-Whiteley is a big fan of this best-selling shampoo and conditioner

The secret sauce responsible for her smooth strands

BEAUTYcrew Beauty Editor / December 11 2020

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley may be an international supermodel but that doesn’t mean that she’s immune to the beauty issues that plague the rest of us plebeians. In an interview with The Strategist, the model and mum of one revealed that pregnancy and over-styling from photo shoots had left her hair weak and brittle.

“My hair is thick, but the strands themselves are fine, and when I was pregnant they just broke. I was not that person whose hair got really thick and luscious while pregnant. Mine got really brittle and snapped, leaving me with weird layers.”

The sudden change in her hair health led the 33-year-old on a personal mission to find a hair care system that would revitalise her damaged strands; “the constant breakage was hard for me, so after my son was born three years ago, I went on the hunt for a shampoo and conditioner that would give my hair the hydration it needed.”

The cure for her post-pregnancy breakage? Pureology’s Strength Cure Strengthening Shampoo and Conditioner.

“Before my son was born — about seven years ago — I used Pureology religiously, but stopped. Then, when I went to get my hair colored after salons opened up in the U.K., my colorist told me to try this shampoo from Pureology’s strengthening line.”

“I’ve since been really, really, really impressed by how my hair went from being quite dry and brittle to hydrated, smooth, and shiny. It’s back to life.”

Huntington-Whiteley’s colourist isn’t the only lover of the strengthening set though, the shampoo and conditioner are both top-rated best-sellers on Amazon and Adore Beauty. With reviewers co-signing the model’s thoughts on the hair care system:

One AdoreBeauty customer applauded the shampoo saying, “without a doubt an absolute fail safe for my hair. It doesn't strip any of the hairs' natural oils, and leaves hair feeling soft, smooth and not heavy or weighed down.”

While another Amazon reviewer said, “just left a review about the conditioner, my feelings are the same for both! I have naturally curly/wavy bleached blonde dried out brittle hair at times… The shampoo and conditioner are like miracle cures for my overheated styled hair. After just 1 use I noticed my hair had hardly any frizz and was so very soft even before I straightened it.”
