Here’s what our Review Crew® thought of these sensitive skin saviours

The product

When you have sensitive skin, finding skin care products that deliver impressive results without causing irritation or breakouts is often a lot easier said than done. Garnier’s new Pure Active Sensitive Anti-Blemish range, which includes a cleanser, toner and moisturiser, has been specifically formulated for imperfection-prone sensitive skin and works to clear the complexion in just three easy steps.

Our panel of Review Crew® testers put the entire range to the test.

The panel

Beauty Crew sent Garnier Pure Active Sensitive Anti-Blemish Soap-Free Gel Wash, Gentle Toner and Soothing Moisturiser to a panel of women aged between 18 and 30 who suffer from sensitive skin that is often prone to imperfections.

The lowdown

Here’s what the Review Crew® loved about the Garnier Pure Active Sensitive Anti-Blemish range:

How the products helped to tackle imperfections: After using the entire range, a majority of the Review Crew® testers reported that many of their breakouts and blemishes had cleared. They also commented that their skin was left feeling soothed, with most of their redness reduced.

How refreshed the cleanser left their skin: Reviewers were quick to compliment how clean and refreshed the Garnier Pure Active Sensitive Anti-Blemish Soap-Free Gel Wash left their skin, removing makeup, dirt, oil and impurities in one easy cleanse without causing their skin to feel tight or dry.

How unique the gel-toner was: While most reviewers enjoyed the entire range, the Garnier Pure Active Sensitive Anti-Blemish Gentle Toner was a standout. Many loved how the gel texture of the toner, which is formulated with salicylic acid and witch hazel, reduced the appearance of pores and left their skin feeling smooth and soft.

Good to know: Some testers did mention that due to the lightweight consistency of the Garnier Pure Active Sensitive Anti-Blemish Soothing Moisturiser they were planning on saving it until the warmer months when its light formula would be better suited.

This may not be for you if: you have highly sensitive skin. If your skin is highly prone to reactions, we recommend conducting a patch test on your skin 24 hours before trialing any new skin care product.

The verdict

"I usually find regular cleansers are too harsh for my sensitive skin and sensitive cleansers too gentle. This cleanser left my skin feeling clean and soft but not irritated and tight at all. This product helped my skin clear up quickly and the cucumber scent is quite refreshing. Definitely good for those with sensitive skin!"

"I really like the packaging of all these products, simple yet effective. My skin is more on the combination side, with dryness predominant in the winter as well as blemishes and redness. As a set I found that during the trial my blemishes cleared a lot faster and redness was less noticeable after using these products. I'm grateful to have been sent these products to try out and I definitely will be repurchasing."

"I got the chance to trial this product thanks to the Review Crew®. While the moisturiser itself is a bit thinner/runnier consistency than I'm used to, with other products I found that it went on easily and absorbed quickly, leaving my skin feeling soft and refreshed. Used in conjunction with the cleanser and toner in the range, overall I have noticed my skin is softer and clearer with less redness and breakouts. It gives me the confidence to have those elusive makeup free days."
