Margot Robbie’s makeup artist just gave us the most glorious rundown on how she created Margot’s killer BAFTAs makeup look - and we are Freaking. Out.

In case you missed it, Margot looked simply magical at the recent BAFTAs. She showed up rocking uber radiant skin, glossy pink lips and the prettiest eye makeup we ever did see. The name behind the whimsical look? Celebrity makeup artist (and Margot’s close friend) Pati Dubroff, of course.

And boy do we love Dubroff right about now. Taking to her Instagram Stories, she shared all her juicy secrets behind this entire look, including the *exact* products and techniques she used. It’s basically like a one-on-one tutorial and we are smitten.

According to Dubroff, the first step is always gorgeous and glowing natural skin. You know the drill, ladies – skin prep means everything. The next step is to apply foundation and concealer, before slinking on over to blush town. And Dubroff has a few notable tricks up her sleeve for this step.

For Margot’s look she used a creamy blush, which she applied using her fingers (she also said you can use a stipple brush) before leaving the blush to settle. Are we the only ones who didn’t know this was a thing?!

She says, “I then apply powder blush like a whisper with a fan brush…for this look, the apple of the cheeks is the best placement spot.”

The team of products she used for the blush business was CHANEL Joues Contraste Powder Blush in 64 Pink Explosion, Clinique Chubby Stick in 04 Plumped Up Peony and Pixi Beauty MultiBalm in Wild Rose.

For those pretty-as-heck eyes, Dubroff swiped a cream shadow across Margot’s lids to even out the colour and help the eyeshadow “grab and stay put”. For this she used CHANEL Ombre Premiere Longwear Cream Eyeshadow in 804 Scintillance, before adding a matte base with the Viseart Grande Pro Volume 1 palette (in shades of pink, soft sand and pale pink white) to add a bit of eye definition. She says, “Soft matte tones give the eye a gentle contour and prevents the eye from looking flat.”

And jussst when you thought you would go ahead and layer on the mascara, Dubroff let us in on an interesting little trick – apparently the key is to apply minimal mascara in order to help the eyeshadow colour pop and to keep the eye look soft and feminine. Note taken!

She also added that a touch of a pink ivory pencil (she used Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Heartless) on Margot’s lower inner rim helped open her peepers on a whole new level.

As for the lips (Margot always nails the nude lip), she used a soft taupe pink shade of CHANEL Rouge Coco Shine Hydrating Sheer Lipshine in 93 Intime.

You are SO welcome.
