Model, mother and founder of beauty brand Milk & Co Lindy Klim likes to take a low-key approach to natural beauty. “My beauty philosophy is about keeping things simple and effective,” Lindy says. “I don’t like anything that is too complicated or takes too long to do.” Here, she shares the secret to her flawless complexion and pared-back beauty routine.

Congratulations on the success of your range. Can you tell us the ethos behind Milk & Co?
Thank you! It’s essentially simple, effective, straightforward skin care that makes you feel good. It’s simple to use and as natural as possible. Our products are formulated with 95 per cent naturally derived ingredients, inspired by my Balinese heritage and my upbringing in Tasmania.

Do you have different beauty routines when you’re in Sydney & Bali?
No, not really. I like to keep things simple and natural. In Australia, my skin can get a
bit drier so I might add some oils to my regimen. When I’m in Bali, I have a quick shower, wash my face with Milk & Co Face Cleanser and my body with a scrub and
I always apply a SPF 30+ facial moisturiser.

What’s in your makeup bag?
Again, it’s pretty minimal. I wear Mecca Cosmetica In A Good Light Tinted Moisturiser SPF 30, NARS Bronzer, add a swipe of mascara, a lip balm and I’m good to go!

Your go-to product?
Definitely the
Milk & Co Beauty Wipes. They’re double-sided, so one side cleanses and
the other side gently exfoliates. They’re perfect for travel; I can cleanse my skin
on the go if I need to.

What are your other airborne essentials?
Hydration is key so I try to avoid alcohol and apply rosehip oil underneath my moisturiser. If it’s a long-haul flight I might use a face mask

How do you find personal balance?
I go to the gym in the mornings after I’ve dropped the children at school. It’s a small section of my day that’s just for me and I find this time really important to keep me balanced both physically and mentally.

Any past beauty faux pas?
Yes! I tried
to wear red lipstick for a while but ended up looking like I was starring in a Bollywood movie! Red lips are great,
but not for everybody.

What’s your date-night look?
I love a smoky eye—that’s the only thing I do to change it up.
