Executive Beauty Editor
Tell us a bit about your experience in the industry.
I’ve worked at a few different titles - Harper’s Bazaar, madison, body+soul – under a few guises (Editorial Coordinator, Photo Editor, Online Editor and Beauty Editor), before landing at marie claire.
What’s been your biggest career highlight?
Visiting Coco Chanel’s apartment on Rue Cambon was mind blowing.
What’s been your favourite beauty discovery?
Nope, can’t answer this. Impossible to whittle it down to just one.
What do you think is the one beauty product every woman should own?
SPF is the best anti-ager on the planet. Look for one that’s 30+ or higher, and apply every single day. No exceptions.
What’s the best beauty tip you’ve ever learnt?
Double cleanse at night. This is not a ruse to get you to buy more product - you really do need a cleansing oil to dissolve makeup and SPF (you’re wearing this every day, right? See above.), and then your regular cleanser to clean your skin.
Confess your biggest beauty sin.
I recommend getting a haircut every six to eight weeks – but I get mine cut every six months.
What’s your biggest beauty battle?
Clear skin. I want it, and I’m willing to try (almost) anything to get it.
Who is your beauty idol?
Marion Cotillard, Salma Hayek and Jennifer Connelly look like real human beings.
The 3 beauty products we’d find in your cosmetics bag right now?
Lip balm, blotting paper and a fragrance rollerball.
What is your beauty philosophy?
If you’re not ageing, you’re dead. So do it with a smile on your face.
