Whether you’re set in your classic beauty ways or keen to experiment, there’s always room for new inspiration. Here, we round up our favourite black and white beauty looks…

Do the polka
This grabbing nail art look is a cinch to do at home - start with two coats of opaque black polish, then use a cotton tip to add some spots.
Nothing says elegant like a simple flick of black and white eyeliner. To make your eyes stand out, pare the rest of your face back - keep your face fresh and dewy, brows nicely groomed, and lips finished with a light layer of nude lippie.
Vamp it up
Rooney Mara’s striking look is what we want to try immediately. Get the look by painting on a dark, maroon colour onto your lips, then pat a matte black eyeshadow over the top to minimise shine.
Back to black
A fresh and shiny mani is what’s hot on the red carpet right now. If you’re wearing a dark colour like black on your digits, go for a short and rounded nail shape to keep your look modern.
It may be a wig, but Kylie’s dark locks *seriously* make her look like a doll. Get the look at home with a dark tint, and even a fringe for full effect.
Want to instantly brighten your peepers? Instead of black, try a white gel liner in the shape of a wing on your eyelids to elongate the eye shape.
Say my name
The newest thing to monogram is your nails. Try this at home with a teensy nail brush dipped into a contrasting colour. Bring more attention to your hands by finishing your look off with a set of chunky finger cuffs that look insanely chic.
Lady Gaga’s look may be totally out-there, but it sure is memorable. Try this if you dare by applying a dark charcoal lip colour straight onto lips. Our tip - blot in between each lipstick application for a long-wearing effect.
