Whether you love it or hate it, there’s no denying that contouring and strobing have been some of the biggest makeup trends to hit the beauty world in the last couple of years. And it looks like the craze isn’t going anywhere.

In Australia, Pinterest has seen a dramatic increase in contouring pins, with a whopping 50 per cent rise in the number of ideas saved over the past three months.

So while Kim Kardashian may be over contouring, it seems the rest of us still can’t get enough of it. And for good reason! It’s hands-down the easiest way to enhance your best features - and who wouldn’t want to look like they’ve been chiselled by the gods themselves?

Whether you’re a beginner at contouring or utterly obsessed with the trend, Pinterest has revealed that there has been a rise in the number of easy hacks and techniques being pinned that are sure to help you master the art of contouring. From how to contour like a Kardashian to the best way to achieve a pared-back everyday look, you name it, Pinterest has the answer.

It seems Australian Pinners are also looking to improve their strobing skills. The platform has seen a 70 per cent increase in saves for ‘highlighter’ ideas over the past three months, and an impressive 30 per cent increase for ‘dewy skin’ ideas in the past month alone. Yep, nothing beats that fresh, lit-from-within glow.
