Molten metallic polish is the new nail art, according to Dua Lipa

If you're acquainted with Dua Lipa's phenomenal nail game, you'll be crystal clear on one fact: girl loves a nail trend.

But while she's no doubt one of Hollywood's reigning nail art queens (having sampled everything from smiley face illustrations to tie dye talons), her latest manicure look is a statement-maker without the need for any intricate artwork. In fact, instead of following another of Instagram's fave nail trends, Lipa is now starting one of her very own, and it's subtle and striking all in one.

What is said trend, you ask? A single colour on all ten claws. Well, single colours with a twist, that is; a molten metallic type of twist. While taking her highly-anticipated Future Nostalgia tour global, Lipa has been setting the 'chrome claws' aesthetic up as one of the hottest trends to try.

The first reflective shade Lipa sampled? A vivid chrome green on both her manicure and pedicure. Yep, not only is she pulling for a return to single colour manis, but for taking the same hue across your pedi as well. Colour coordinating is cool again, people.

Up next was a vibrant violet chrome colour with the very same metallic mirror finish, proving that Lipa's obsession with the look is still going strong.

It's not hard to see why she's obsessed, either; suddenly nail stickers seem excessive and galactic shades are the only options. Chrome claws have all the 'wow' factor of a bold manicure, but are a zillion times faster/easier to achieve. Double win.

She's not playing solely within the bright club, either; Lipa's third metallic manicure involved a more classic 'chrome' shade: copper.
