Content Producer / May 02 2024

We’re going to admit something a little personal. We’re all super ‘pro’ the environment until it comes to our beauty routines. And no that’s not a slam, it’s just facts. We’re often more likely to choose the products we know and love (that may include a few nasty ingredients), over the natural alternatives. But what good reason do we have not to make the environmentally-conscious shift? Well, we bet if you’re anything like us there’s some tiny nagging voice telling you while you’re stood in the beauty aisle that the natural options just won’t cut it. Well, these natural shampoo choices are here to put a muzzle on that voice.

Because you don’t have to lose any of your shampoo benefits just because you’ve made the switch to natural shampoo. Yep, there’s natural options from purple shampoo all the way to clarifying shampoos. Making the first switch to eco-conscious beauty with these natural shampoos will change your mind…

What can I do to look after my hair naturally?

Caring for your hair naturally doesn’t need to be a tricky routine. In fact most steps you’re already taking to maintain that mane are classified as ‘natural’. Some of those natural steps to caring for your strands include being mindful of the ingredients you use (ie. adopt a natural shampoo…). Avoid scorching your strands with overly hot showers. We know a (overly) steamy shower is a must for shorter body rinses, but when it comes to washing your tresses turn the temp down! And the last? Wash your hair brushes instead of replacing them (although you should do that more often than you think too). Give them a rinse and watch that greasy build-up wash away.

What natural ingredients should I look out for?

Let’s be honest, there’s a list as long as our arms for mane-managing natural ingredients. But some that make a point of standing out amongst the crowd (and all but ensure silky strands) are hard-hitting oils. Now we know that incorporating natural oils into your hair care can seem daunting (no one wants greasy locks). But rest assured that these natural hair care products know the balance of lustre adding oils and deeply cleansing your strands. Top oil picks include the likes of coconut oil, jojoba oil and rosemary oil.
