And people were NOT happy
This morning online beauty store Adore Beauty announced they would be providing an unusual gift with purchase with every beauty product order.
In an Instagram post, the major Australian online beauty retailer wrote that they had listened to Australia's health-conscious customers and would now be providing organic Australian sultanas with orders, instead of the usual sample size packets of Tim Tams that buyers have come to expect.
The backlash was immediate as people took to social media to express their outrage at the decision.
But all was not as it seemed.
Within a few hours of the original post, Adore Beauty CEO and founder Kate Morris took to Instagram Stories to reveal that they’d played one big old April Fools’ Day joke on all of us and declare that…
THE. CHOCOLATE. LIVES. ON!
Well, if that isn’t the best news we’ve heard all day, we don’t know what is.
Who else was low-key panicking for a while there? We didn't realise we'd become so attached to receiving those little foil packets of chocolately goodness with our haircare and skin care products. It’s those little things that make a shopping experience next-level.
As you were!
