We stole a few minutes backstage at Monse with TRESemmé to find out what hair looks Orlando Pita, Hair Director for NYFW, was creating on the models. Working with the models' individual hairstyles and lengths, he went for a tough, edgy finish.

A moment of calm backstage
Everyone takes a quick break during rehearsals.
A model gets a hard middle part and straight hair to toughen up her look.
Short hair looks
Pita maintained the natural curls for the model on the left, and straightened and added flicks for the model on the right.
Slick and sharp
Unlike most of the models, this model sported slicked-back and brushed-down hair to go with her boy-short 'do.
Just a fraction of the hair tools used to create the bespoke hair looks.
The looks in action
The hair looks were designed to contrast the clothes.
