Thanks to the likes of famous redheads such as Christina Hendricks, Emma Stone and Isla Fisher, as well as Hollywood celebrities like Kate Bosworth and Lily Collins who have dabble in various red shades, our latest hair trend obsession this autumn isn't blonde or brown hair, rather it’s anything with a fiery tone, such as strawberry blonde, rose gold or ginger.

Vincent Nobile, co-owner and Colour Director of Headcase Hair is a fan, too. "My favourite trend at the moment is a striking yet soft shade of strawberry copper, [along with] various shades of auburn and rose gold, which is always a hit to warm up blonde hair."

If you're not a natural redhead, just keep in mind that due to its brightly-coloured nature, red hair is extra susceptible to colour fade Therefore a strict haircare plan is needed to maintain vibrancy. “Use a great shampoo and conditioner that is colour [saving]. My choice is Kerasilk Colour Shampoo and Conditioner, [along with] Kerasilk Colour Protective Blow Dry Spray to protect it from the heat.”

Interestingly, Amy Adams went from having blonde hair to rocking a red hair colour to land more acting jobs. “Based on roles that I was getting called in for, people were responding to certain types of characters with me as a blonde and the minute I went red, it was quirky and fun instead of flirtatious and dumb,” Adams told People magazine.

Lately Christina Hendricks has been opting for a rich ginger hair colour that contrasts beautifully with her striking blue eyes and fair skin tone.

Julianne Moore is always a popular muse when it comes to red hair inspiration. This season she has chosen to darken her ginger hair slightly to a reddish-brown shade that surprisingly brightens up her pale skin.
