10 insights into Jennifer Hawkins’ beauty routine
Including the one product she’s completely addicted to
You’d be forgiven for thinking Jennifer Hawkins just rolls out of bed and looks that good on any given day. She always looks so effortlessly beautiful, and has her signature bronzed glow, tousled waves and dewy skin down pat.
That’s why when we had the opportunity to interview the model and business entrepreneur we grilled her about her beauty secrets and essentials. You’re welcome.
#1 / Her tip for amazing skin
“Good skin really comes from what you eat. You need a lot of olive oil and coconut oil, zinc tablets ... lots of water.”
#2 / What she looks for in a moisturiser
“I love a really thick moisturiser for night and I like an oil-free daytime moisturiser.”
#3 / Her secret to an always-glowing complexion
“Every two months I’ll get a professional DermaSweep treatment because it is less abrasive than microdermabrasion. I also get blue and red LED light. I love DIY facials too.”
#4 / Her go-to lipstick look
“If I’m wearing a red or coloured lip, my go-to is a matte lipstick. I love NARS’ matte lipsticks. I’m not really a gloss girl.
#5 / Can’t-live-without makeup essentials
#6 / Her scent style
“I love to try different scents, but I really like Burberry; their scents melt into your own smell.”
#7 / How her beauty routine has changed in her 30s
“When you get into your 30s, less is more with foundation. It’s about looking after your skin. I never used to use powder, but now I powder my T-zone.”
#8 / Her budget beauty staple
“I think it’s important to feel like you have a clean, white smile. It can be really expensive to get your teeth whitened by a dentist, which is why my go-to is Colgate Optic White [Jen is the brand’s ambassador].”
#9 / Her body care routine
“I’ll exfoliate my body completely once a week, then I tan. I can’t live without tanning, a pedicure and a massage. It’s nice to pamper yourself.”
#10 / One product she’s completely addicted to
“Coconut oil is my best beauty tip. It’s great for your skin, it’s great to eat and it’s great for your insides. It’s such a good hair treatment. It’s antibacterial too, so it’s great for cuts or abrasions.”
