Go on and treat yourself

There are two things you could do with your tax return: either save it for a rainy day, or spend it on a special something because you’ve worked so hard and you deserve it. Personally, we think the latter is a much better option…so here are eight products that are seriously luxurious, but worth blowing the budget for.
Giorgio Armani Vert Malachite
Giorgio Armani Vert Malachite is undeniably bold for both your body and your dresser. The floral fragrance carries notes such as white lily, jasmine and ylang ylang, but what makes this even more wearable than it sounds is the addition of vanilla and resin, which also helps the juice last for hours on your skin.
La Mer The Moisturising Soft Cream
Despite being loaded with La Mer’s signature Miracle Broth that can deeply nourish skin and nix dryness, The Moisturising Soft Cream has a lighter texture that is easily absorbed, even for those with combination or oily skin types. The trick to helping your skin drink up the product as quickly as possible is by warming up a tiny amount (say, half a pea-size) between your fingers, then pressing the formula into your skin.
Creed Aventus is one of our favourite men’s fragrances of all time because it’s masculine and incredibly sexy, and we’re yet to meet a male (or female) that doesn’t like the smell of this. Opening notes of blackcurrant, apple and pineapple make way for rose and jasmine, which fade into musk, oak moss, ambergris and vanilla over the course of several hours. As the scent is potent, a little goes a long way so you only need a single spray at a time.
David Mallett Gold Dust
A special occasion calls for an extravagant beauty product, and this one is both fun and functional. Gold Dust is a volumising powder made with bamboo (which provides lots of hold without weighing the hair down), as well as teeny tiny flecks of gold shimmer that catch the light and can take your hairstyle to the next level.
Hermès Jewel Lock in Jour d’Hermes
Could this be the chicest travel-friendly fragrance on the market? Twist the head of the Hermès Jewel Lock to free the nozzle, and press down to release a fine mist of fragrance onto pulse points or even in your hair. Jour d’Hermes is undeniably feminine and shows off notes like gardenia, sambac jasmine and apricot blossom.
Guerlain Orchidée Imperiale Black The Treatment Cure
Just like a workout program, the Guerlain Orchidée Imperiale Black The Treatment Cure is a four-week regimen that addresses a particular skin concern each week. Week one focuses on resurfacing the skin, week two helps to bring radiance to the skin, week three can redefine facial contours (especially on the jawline), and week four helps to improve skin volume and elasticity. Use in order to reap the full benefits.
Hourglass Confession Ultra Slim High Intensity Refillable Lipstick in I Desire
The Hourglass Confession Lipsticks encapsulate everything that could possibly exist on your lipstick wish list: they’re rich in pigment, creamy to apply, they dry to a satin finish (that’s not too shiny and not too matte), and can be swapped out with any of the Confession Lipstick refills with ease.
CHANEL Sublimage Le Teint Ultimate Radiance-Generating Cream Foundation
Housed in a glass jar, this foundation simply exudes luxury and feels really lightweight and dreamy once applied on the skin. We’re big fans of the gorgeous formula that’s filled with diamond powder to increase luminosity, but what sets this base apart from others is its ability to soften and hydrate for up to 12 hours all thanks to a cocktail of plant-based ingredients.
