Sweet and sexy, clean and complex – we sought, spritzed and settled on the year’s most compelling scents (all 26 of them!) just for you. Here are the fragrances we couldn’t get enough of in 2017.
Dior J’Adore Injoy EDT
A re-imagining of the classic scent, this latest incarnation of the brand’s blockbuster is well rounded, fruity and floral, with a surprising sprinkle of salt, peach and white flowers. One wear will have you dreaming of an endless summer.
Prada Candy Gloss EDT
This new member of Prada’s cult Candy family aligns with the house’s adage that more is more. From its pink pop-up bottle to the mix of sugared almond, cherry and musk, it’s a treat too pretty to resist.
To celebrate 75 years, Coach has unveiled yet another arresting fragrance. The polished cap references the all-American brand’s signature handbag hardware, while the pear, cedar and rose blend typifies its timeless quality.
Michael Kors Sexy Ruby EDP
A faceted bottle recalls the gemstone this scent is named for, while the perfume within represents the strong, sexy Michael Kors aesthetic. After a sweet start, its smooth wood and vanilla bean base is revealed.
CHANEL Gabrielle EDP
A reflection of Coco Chanel’s independent spirit, Gabrielle (her name by birth) is both rebellious and refreshing. Perfumer Olivier Polge balances a bouquet of white flowers with mandarin and orange blossom to entice and intrigue.
Elizabeth and James Nirvana French Grey EDP
The ultra-chic blend of lavender, musk and neroli that fills this vintage-inspired bottle marks it as the more grown-up of the Olsen twins’ recently released perfumes.
Jo Malone London Myrrh & Tonka Cologne Intense
True to form, Jo Malone London delivers an all-encompassing cologne of elegant lavender and almond, plus a heady hit of myrrh. It’s like a cosy hug; splash it on and feel the love.
Aerin Tuberose Le Soir EDP
One half of a new day-night duo, this fragrance is built around Indian tuberose flowers in full bloom, picked at sunset. Ylang-ylang and amber give a fresh, rich and slightly exotic finish.
Elie Saab Girl Of Now EDP
Creamy tonka bean and vanilla mingle with orange blossom, almond and pear, while white jasmine lingers long after you spritz. It’s as striking as it sounds and designed for the woman who loves to live life to the fullest.
Issey Miyake L’Eau D’Issey Pure EDT
As the bottle and name suggest, Pure is a breath of fresh air. Cool and crisp, it blends an aquatic character with rose and citrus; the perfect choice for anyone who delights in clean, subtle scents.
Yves Saint Laurent Black Opium Floral Shock EDP
Sweeter than the original, Floral Shock swaps out the warmer notes for lemon and lime, but maintains the lightness of white flowers and the addictive coffee bean base.
Burberry My Burberry Blush EDP
Paying homage to the brand’s British heritage, perfumer Francis Kurkdjian and Burberry’s Christopher Bailey were inspired by a London garden at first light. Geranium, rose and wisteria are cut through with citrus and apple for a crisp take on florals.
Bulgari Goldea The Roman Night EDP
Made for the free spirit who comes alive after dark, this scent is the luxury Italian brand’s tribute to the magic of Rome. Luscious black peony, musk and berries are offset by earthy patchouli and vetiver.
Emporio Armani Because It’s You EDP
Featuring intertwined rings on its bottle, Because It’s You was released alongside a counterpart for men, celebrating love and commitment via scent. Its mix of lemon, raspberry and rose is unapologetically feminine.
Tom Ford Vert de Fleur EDP
Green notes of hyacinth and galbanum are bright and clean, and deepened with a dark base of vetiver. In true Tom Ford style, this latest potion blurs the line between masculine and feminine.
Salvatore Ferragamo Signorina In Fiore EDT
Nashi pear and cherry blossom are grounded by sophisticated sandalwood and white musk in a fusion so intoxicating you’ll crave more with every spray.
Kate Spade New York Live Colorfully EDP
Designed to inspire vibrant personalities, this combo of Tahitian tiare flower, vanilla and coconut water—along with mandarin and amber notes—is as lively as the woman who wears it.
Calvin Klein Deep Euphoria EDT
With water lily layered over musk and black rose, Deep Euphoria is darker than its predecessors—it’s the ultimate after-hours addition to your fragrance wardrobe.
Diana Vreeland Simply Divine EDP
From the bold colour contrast between box and bottle to the chic label and multifaceted scent— tuberose and musky notes—the fashion icon’s aesthetic shines in this debut collection inspired by her celebrated career.
Derek Lam 10 Crosby Silent St. EDP
Moved by the view from his window in New York City, Lam was inspired by the stillness after the snow. Freshly washed linen is called to mind, and the matte white bottle is a minimalist’s dream.
Byredo Velvet Haze EDP
Coconut water, patchouli and a hint of cacao fold into a musk base to form a unique, honeyed take on an otherwise earthy perfume. Bonus: you can share it with your significant other.
Miu Miu L’Eau Bleue EDP
The jewel-like bottle conjures images of sea and sun, and its contents are a summery mix of honeysuckle, white flowers and rose with a zingy finish.
