DIY manicures aren't exactly the easiest. With nobody to flawlessly paint your polish on with the skills of a professional (or keep you from fiddling with your phone and smudging away your hard work three seconds into the drying time) things can get real messy real fast.
And even if you do manage to nail the application with your dominant hand, the other five fingers are usually still left looking a little worse for wear - hardly the chic result you were after, right?
Luckily, the master of the manicure world (aka nail artist and Instagram icon Betina Goldstein) has taken to social media to share her top tips for applying one's own polish, bound to take you from novice to know-it-all in the DIY department.
She's even got a trick up her sleeve for the dreaded non-dominant hand painting process, as well as a genius hack for erasing any errors... and we are forever grateful. Over to you, Betina.
