Beyoncé hair brand is finally here

Meet Cécred...

Editor / February 27 2024

It's no secret there's been an influx of celebrity beauty ventures recently but Beyoncé bringing out a hair brand is one we can get behind. Yep, the rumours are true and Queen Bey is hard launching into the beauty industry with her haircare brand, Cécred. What can we say, Rihanna's billionaire status is damn inspiring.

ICYMI, Beyoncé confirmed her first foray into the haircare game with a not-so-subtle Instagram post last May. And now the first drop of Cécred is finally here.

Here's everything you need to know...

What is Beyoncé's hair brand called?

Beyoncé kept us waiting almost a year to reveal the name of her hair care line: Cécred. Pronounced "sacred," the word combines her own name and the idea that "hair is sacred" – the caption of the official launch announcement (a work of art in itself) on Instagram.

When does Cécred launch?

Cécred officially launched February 20, 2024 with seven core products in the 'Foundation Collection', including shampoo, conditioner, a hair mask and a hair oil. Follow the brand's Instagram and sign up for more updates and future launches via the Cécred website.

What products are in the Cécred range?

In the post teasing the launch back in 2023, Beyoncé shared that her first-ever job was sweeping hair in her mum's salon. "Destiny's Child got our start by performing for clients while they got their hair done," she wrote – imagine getting rinsed at the basin while they belted out "Say My Name"!

"I saw firsthand how the ways we nurture and celebrate hair can directly impact our souls," the statement continued. "I watched her heal and be of service to so many women. Having learned so much on my hair journey, I've always dreamed of carrying on her legacy."

Back when Queen B announced the launch, fans were quick to comment their want for frizz-taming and edge-slicking products, with one even suggesting a line of wigs. And it seems their wishes were granted (for the most part). The entire Cécred range caters to all hair types, but is specifically formulated with thicker, textured hair in mind – think hydrating shampoos, nourishing hair oil for dry, frizzy strands, and a protein treatment to restore shine and bounce. And if "clean beauty" is your thing, everything in the current product lineup is cruelty-free and formulated without silicones, phthalates and parabens.

Cécred Clarifying Shampoo & Scalp Scrub

This hard-working shampoo provides gentle scalp exfoliation to remove buildup and residue whilst deeply cleansing your strands. And don't worry about your hair feeling stripped. Thanks to  the combination of niacinamide and purple willow bark, it'll leave your strands hydrated and perfectly primed for conditioner.

Cécred Hydrating Shampoo

With a nourishing blend of keratin ferment, African oils and hyaluronic acid, Cécred's Hyrdating Shampoo certainly lives up to its name. One good lather will cleanse your strands from root to tip and leave them soft, silky and moisturised. And thanks to notes of Oud and Australian Sandalwood, your hair will be smelling like an absolute dream.

Cécred Nourishing Hair Oil

Alongside the core collection, Cécred also has a curated collection of bundles and accessories to take your haircare ritual to new heights.

Where can I buy Cécred in Australia?

We hate to be the bearers of bad news... so we won't be. The entire collection is available to shop via the Cécred website and ships to Australia.

It may cost you a pretty penny, but having hair like Beyoncé's is well worth the price...
