The whole 'stars; they're just like us' trope is a little hard to believe, right? We can't speak for everybody, but we certainly don't have a Kylie Jenner-level glam room or the budget for regular $7,000 ruby facials like Mila Kunis does.
However, that's not to say that there aren't still areas where we can find common ground. Because while we know it's hard to imagine the A-list coated in tan, wearing daggy old t-shirts and walking around like cowboys in a feeble attempt to avoid dreaded creases, some of them do indeed live that DIY tan life the same way as the rest of us common-folk.
And hey, considering said stars probably have access to some of the best spray tanners in the world, the fact that they trust these tans to deliver a flawless faux glow means a lot.
So, if you're in the market for a new bronzing buddy, here are all the fake tan formulas that have been blessed with a celeb stamp of approval...
Kylie Jenner: Bondi Sands Dark Self Tanning Foam
Hailey Bieber: Vita Liberata Body Blur
TBH 'glowing' is the first word that comes to mind when we think of Bieber, so finding out her favourite body bronzing formula is a big win. Her makeup artist recently spilled that the pair rely on this skin tone-smoothing wash-off tan for an instant hit of colour and radiance.

Hilary Duff: Luna Bronze Glow Gradual Tanning Moisturiser
"Everyone keeps saying 'you're tan!' and I'm like 'I knooooow'", Duff shared in a recent Instagram Story, revealing her faux glow formula of choice. This glow-boosting gradual moisturiser doesn't smell like fake tan (think citrus instead), won't stain sheets and offers a luminous wash of bronze-y colour that doesn't require the maintenance that darker tans do.

Kim Kardashian: St Tropez Self Tan Express Bronzing Mousse
Confirming that she uses self-tanners as a safe alternative to tanning outside (smart gal), Kardashian revealed that this express mousse is her glow-boosting go-to. It develops in just an hour (but builds up to a deeper, richer tan in three), so it's a pretty perfect option for a busy mum of four.

Julianne Hough: Pretty Peaushun Skin Tight Body Lotion
Hough is another celeb who prefers a temporary tint, explaining to Byrdie that she likes to apply this tightening tanning lotion before getting dressed and then rinse it off at night. "It’s perfect because it's not too much colour [so] you don’t feel like you're caking on a big-time self-tanner," she said. Well, that's one way to avoid streaky sheets, right?

Gigi Hadid: Vita Liberata pHenomenal 2-3 Week Self-Tan Mousse
Ever seen Hadid without a flawless bronze glow? Apparently she keeps her colour topped up with this super long-lasting mousse. Designed to stay strong for a whopping 2-3 weeks (cue slow clap) thanks to its nifty pHenO2 technology, it's a velvety vegan option that'll make lining your social life up to your tanning schedule way easier.

Khloé Kardashian: St Tropez Gradual Tan In Shower Tanning Lotion
Can't cope with the idea of marinating in your tan for hours? Apparently neither can Kardashian, who favours this speedy in-shower formula instead. Taking a leaf out of her tanning book is super simple; just shut the water off mid-shower, rub the lotion into skin as evenly as possible, and then rinse off three minutes later for a subtle bronze sheen.

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley: James Read Tan Sleep Mask Tan Face
"James Read Sleep Mask Tan is the best facial tanning product I've ever used. I can't stop using it," Huntington Whiteley explained to Teen Vogue of her fave face tan. Part skin care, part tanner, it's an overnight colourless gel formula loaded with hyaluronic acid and aloe vera that hydrates and bronzes in one hit.
