As far as makeup goes, there are so many different products out there already that you’d think it would be hard to come up with something completely new, right? We have beauty appointment booking apps and automatic brush cleaners, but new and innovative forms of makeup itself are a little harder to come by.
But it turns out there was something missing in the market and Texas-based Chaos Makeup have just invented it. They revealed on their Instagram a multipurpose colour shifting cream (we’re assuming for use on lips and lids). While it’s not the most practical (or wearable) product for those who prefer to stick to their neutrals – it sure does look magical.
The product has a creamy consistency intended to hydrate the skin while adding colour which the brand recommends applying thinly and building up slowly. It comes in three shades – but don’t be deceived by the colour in the packaging. The colours change when wet: Ice Blink is a green that transforms into a blueish-purple. Moonspell starts out green and changes to a yellow-orange hue, and Cosmic Light is a red-pink shade that changes to a silvery-green.
The brand is also set to release a new set of 'mood creams' in the near future and you can see the colour-changing magic for yourself here:
While the new mood creams are still in the production stage, the colour shifting creams are already available on their website. We imagine these new products are set to be the next big thing in makeup, so you'll want to get in quick.
