Plus, her secrets to nabbing your best brows yet
So, when we sat down to chat exclusively with Chloe about her new product collaboration with Benefit Cosmetics – the limited edition Chloe’s Brow Wardrobe Set (PSA: it just hit shelves at your local Sephora, so grab it while you can) – you’re going to bet we made sure to also drill her about ALL her foundation secrets!
FYI, she did us an all-round solid and also dished out some handy tips on how to master your brow routine, like layering your brow products (did you know this was a thing?) and leaving the inner part of your brow looking as natural as possible (she said you can dab your beautyblender on the inner corners of your brows to make them look more natural, or just skip this section completely).
“It’s all about starting light and layering - and that’s really the whole idea behind my new kit,” says Chloe. “I like to start with a base product like Ka-BROW!, Foolproof Brow Powder or Precisely, My Brow Eyebrow Pencil, and then I layer it with a brow gel, like Gimme Brow+, so you get that fluffiness at the top of the eyebrow. And then you can highlight with High Brow Eyebrow Highlighter, which is a really good accessory to any eyebrow look.”
On the foundation front, Chloe says that the secret behind her flawless-looking complexion all comes down to her strict skin care routine, plus one nifty little makeup trick (you’re going to want to take note!).
#1 / A thorough cleansing routine
“I make sure I cleanse for 60 seconds every morning and night. I follow this amazing aesthetician on YouTube who says this works to dislodge impurities and dirt, which helps to clear skin. I have oily skin and I find that this [method] helps my skin from over-producing oil – so that really helps!”
#2 / Multi-priming
Her second trick? Multi-priming. Apparently, if you have oily skin (like Chloe), but love a dewy complexion (like everyone), multi-priming is a great way to keep those shiny areas matte, and the areas you want highlighted all glowy. Genius, huh?
“I love to use a primer and multi-prime. It’s similar to multi-masking, where I apply an anti-shine primer in the centre of my face, and then I use a hydrating primer on the outer edges. I also love to apply glowy liquid highlighters underneath my makeup, or even mix it in with a foundation. Remember that even if you have oily skin, don’t be afraid to use glossy products. Own the gloss!”
You heard the girl!
